How To Free A Cassette That's Stuck

In this video, I demonstrate the process of getting a cassette off a free hub that won't budge. This is a common issue with aluminum free hub bodies, with individual cassette sprockets found on various SRAM and Shimano, as well as others. I made a video a few years ago demonstrating this same procedure, but the cassette wasn't actually stuck, and several viewers complained about it. This cassette was definitely stuck tight!

also there are cassettes with an aluminium assembly for the larger cogs which spreads the pressure out to the entire surface
