The sound department for black ops 1 needs more credit, I don’t think in one other call of duty can you hear all the gear you are carrying shaking around while your reloading, it’s a subtle sound, but makes the audio and realism so much more enticing :D

I think the reason the BO4 weapons dont sound loud and metal sounding like BO1 is because ive noticed modern weapons have more and more of a silenced muffled sound like if a silencer muzzle was on them. So since BO4 is futuristic, i think they were trying to go for that

For an example, KN-57 is remake of AK-47 Galil was remastered but different sounds and I’m disappointed. Either it's the default weapons that are bo3 remakes, the dlcs that are bo1/bo2 copy and pastes, or the characters from WaW. If there was to be a campaign, it was to merge all the black ops stories into one, including black out
Funny fact. Black Ops 1 actually had to record real shooting in order to make BO1 sound realistic. In Black Ops 4, they recorded all shots by banging on random objects.
Saddest part of BO4 was the fact that it was mainly comprised of reused maps from previous Black ops games because Treyarch was too lazy to actually make any original and new maps. The whole game was lacking any originality or creativity. It was a quick cash grab that had very predatory MTX systems in place because after BO3 Treyarch forgot who they were completely. I am worried for the future of Treyarch games.

That game was so awesome, in fact i don’t think a lot of people know that Call of duty was literally just like battlefield in every way except air and sea vehicles... Call of duty had 64 player lobbies, vehicles, and literally a conquest mode... it wasn’t until Cod 2 and then 4 that changed the whole Call of duty franchise as we know it today... Although I will give credit where credits due, I’m thrilled to see Modern Warfare try and revive the old Cod formula with 64 player ground war mode and limited vehicles and larger maps... It only took them since 2008 (Call of duty WAW) to bring back larger maps back with some form of vehicles...
Even the animations are better for Black Ops 1. Black Ops 4 has visible bouncing from one movement to the other, while Black Ops 1 has an overall smooth appearance.
