  • I had to replace my transmission skid after cutting the stock one off of my frame to replace my 42RLE. So I decided to get the Rokmen engine and transmission skid, instead of replacing it with a stock skid. The stock #TJ transmission skid interferes with the front driveshaft, and does absolutely nothing to protect the engine. The rokmen does a great job at both!
In this video I prep, paint, and install the Rokmen skid on my stock TJ belly pan. This is something they say is possible, and give you some brief instructions on how to do. I'll show you how I modified the stock belly pan, and how it all fit together.

Is your stock transmission skid hanging on by a thread? are you tired of worrying about denting your oil pan? This is one great solution! Do you run a different manufacturers skid? Let's hear about it!
