The drummer is super good ....The singer is incredibly good....Lisa-X doesn't want to show off her shredding skills ,but just plays tastfully ....every note she plays has a delicious food for our ears ...))
I´m digging a lot Li-sa-X in this actual composition. Very high quality music and a voice at the height. Damn, Japan is exporting a lot of excellent music these days. The sun rises in the East guys.
... it can be so hard to keep track of all these female Japanese superstars! 😊 . Great reaction, great performance, great sounds - so much going on in the backing - but the stars definitely up front with guitars and vocals.
Li-sa has performed covers of Street Fighter and other video game music on Japanese TV shows, but she's still just a 16-17 year old high school student. I am half-excited and half-terrified to see what will happen in the future.
LI.SA. has the capacity and talent to surpass all other guitarist including the greats . and with the talent that is being stacked in her band could be one of the biggest acts to have ever take to the stage , and trust I'm not fanboying just being realistic
This is pretty cool, it kinda sounds like an early 2000's rock... but way better. Wich doesn't surprise me at all because japanese musicians are really good with taking old genres/styles and put these little "extras" to make them stand out
I agree Rina voice is like western pop singers. When she sings she does descending notes like a guitar would. She also has no accent. Of course pop singers in the US do not have Li-sa-X and Hazuki to provide vituoso guitar playing. Li-sa-X is such a great guitarist.
This reminds me of around the 1993-1996 era in alternative music. A little bit of a ballad mixed with really clean guitar sound, and more basic drums (compared to Akane)... 👍 I like it!
One of the clearest English ever heard in my life. Rina is amazing. And Li-sa X is just pure talent. ps- "Suzuki from Nemophila" is running gag on SGBC reactor channel 🤣

Rina is just so good. Having the guitars pull back during the verses and then build for the choruses prevents the continuous power metal belt since she doesn't have to fight for space. Once Li-sa-X, 17, graduates from high school next year Hazuki is going to be super busy if Li-sa-X wants to go straight into touring instead of going to college. I've been busy with work lately, and I saw this video earlier. Since Li-sa-X and SiM are from my hometown "Shonan", I secretly support them. "Shonan" is called "California in Japan" and music activities are active. This song is my favorite, and I'm honestly surprised that Li-sa-X is this young and chose this vocalist Rina and is doing this kind of music. And it's very interesting to see what kind of guitarist he will be in the future. By the way, how does Rina's English when a native hears it?
@@RyanMear Is that so! Thank you for letting me know. By the way, Miku has just uploaded a video to the official channel. Yeah, a performance in Japan will be held in the summer! And additional performances have been decided for the US tour. However, I am worried about the announcement of April Fool's Day!?
With Rina, Li-sa found a real gem! She has an amazingly pleasant warm tone, and range to die for. It's like what Paul Gilbert did when he recruited Eric Martin for Mr Big (... and yes Li-sa has been a Paul Gibert student, she probably took some advices too). And guitar-wise, Hazuki is such a perfect complement and she has many occasions to shine, it's not only focused on Li-sa. I just can't wait for their first album (of course, Li-sa is still at school, that's why there's only a couple of singles untill now).
This is the song that lead me to Nemophila recently. I think I mentioned that on Discord that everyone should join. I already knew Lisa-X but I didn't know who other guitarist was so I had to look her up to see plays with Nemophila. So, naturally I look at your Nemophila reaction, which people should watch if they liked this song.
The progressions (I think it's no. 5 or 6. We number each progression type) are like what we play in church, Po! It has a Hillsong vibe, less the astronomical leads. Akane and Misa would fit in here nicely, with Kanamicho composing, as she said she want to for other bands. Very soulful, Po!
Ryan! Greetings! The rain is about to stop at last! I will have to check the damage inn the garden... Very interesting reaction indeed, and I discovered new extremely talented (and so bleedin' young!) artists. Now who is playing drums, piano and bass? Session musicians? The singer must have been US-educated judging from her fluency and accent! I truly think we are only discovering the tip of an iceberg with an enormous base. In a country of 124 million souls, women count for slightly more than half. The same women will have or have had basic musical education since kingergarten, while boys will be active mostly in sports. Musical education will come far later if it ever comes. There are some notable exceptions (Asterism) but male bands will appear at high school, meaning a 10-year gap with women. No wonder most good rock groups are all female in Japan these days! We are in for a long and pleasurable haul! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
Can anyone tell me if this Rina is Rina Aiuchi who had a solo career and released several albums a few years ago. Her English is much better that most Japanese singers.
Hey Ryan. I hope you're doing well. Have you been made aware that Floor Jansen dropped her first ever solo single last Friday? She's been working on a solo album during the pandemic, as the Nightwish tour wasn't happening. It's different from Nightwish, a conscious choice. She intentionally wanted to stay away from any form of metal and just do something of her own. If you haven't heard it yet, check it out here ua-cam.com/video/Utz4gFG3HF8/v-deo.html
She has a beautiful voice I think it can use some seasoning or it's the song truthfully I don't care for much I think the musicians are really good true potential maybe it's just me to this style of music to poppy but I'm an old rock and roller God bless
Congratulations to my favorite singer on her first million subscribers! Meet the singer with the most unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones), reactors call her the goosebump queen. "Together with her tessitura, it identifies her potential voice type as dramatic contralto, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice." In the 80's and 90's there were a lot of songs like this, minus the virtuoso guitars, playing on FM radio in the US. They called it MOR, for middle of the road. I didn't like it then, same as Ryan. Usually the singing was by some pop diva like CHER or Bette Midler, and the instrumentation was manufactured by a producer, rather than created by a band of musicians. The gang I hung with just called it commercial music. Maybe Japan never went through that period and so doesn't have the bad memories of it.
Rock n Roll never died. It just packed up its suitcases and moved to Japan!
She has a very soulful, powerful voice! Reminds me of an upgraded 80's power rock song.
Beautiful voice.. beautiful song
I like the intellectual atmosphere of Hazuki here.
Her voice amazes me every time I hear it.
I’ve listened to this 4 times now. Everything in this song blends so well together. Great frickin’ song.
When that chorus hits...OMG goosebumps, feels and all that stuff. One of my faves of the year so far.
Wow.. this is fantastic.
That chorus kicking in sounded very 90's.
I love this. I love that voice.

Lisa x is unreal. Rina’s voice is truly exceptional. Hazuki is just the best
The way the song is structured, with the vocal melody, this could be a country song. Lisa is, good lord, 17 years old now? Wow.
voice is very beautiful. the song too. and the guitarists are world class anyway. 🔥❤

Love Li-sa-x & Co! Anyone else get a Toto vibe during the breakdown midway through?
How nice was that bridge man?

No vibrato singing. Very nice.
Yeah that tremolo seems very popular in Asian singing, I'm not a huge fan...
