By the shaking of hands you needed to do, this is clearly a dish 'best served cold'!! Lovely video as always! Thank you for sharing your work, and inspiring.
what a beautiful and elegant design. I also love the final contrast between the fragile glass and the strong and supportive steel. There's a life metaphor in it somewhere, I'm sure. Thank you for sharing your work with us master Åhman
An artist at work. Not just the blacksmith work, but the video. Narrative, cutting, photo, sound. And music! Music in a TÅ video!? Who would have thought 😂
Does no one else see... He is slowly moving towards end of the world armour pieces. 😅 Great work! My kids and I enjoy watching your videos together. They see me work on cars with modern tools a lot of the time and they are amazed what you can do with a piece of metal, some fire and a hammer. You are keeping an important part of history alive! 💪
Beautiful Viking fruit dish! Glad to see you're making use of the resperator. As a weldor of many years,I lived in one,and have it to thank for my good health in my 70's! Always a joyvto watch your work and stunning videos. Hello from Jamestown N.Y.,USA
Watching these videos is like watching an episode of Columbo. You know in advance how it will end up but you don't know how he will get there. What a beautiful peice!
Fascinating. I, for one, am glad you showed the full process for most of the fasteners. Because, unlike watching you drill the holes (which was boring), this was riveting! 😉😁
You are by far one of my most favorite blacksmiths that has blessed us with video content. Great work, straight to the point, no annoying overlaying music or chit chat. Thank you good sir!!
They say if you have nothing nice to say that you shouldn't say anything, so i'll try to make this criticism positive. This is the first and only thing i've ever seen you make which i don't adore. I think the exaggerated hammered texture makes this genuine, skillfully created piece of craftsmanship look like it's fake and made of plastic. it seems like something that an affluent banker or lawyer would have on their coffee table, instead of the humble, practical, wholesome, unique and beautiful pieces you have made in the past which made me fall in love with your channel. Please never fall into the trap of making things you think the algorithms will enjoy over the tens of thousands of people who love you for your uniqueness
I try different things, and also try to ignore the algorithm most of the time. When it comes to "art pieces" like this, it's all about taste, since it has no practical use. I can understand your view, and respect that. I kind of like it, although the back side could be equally nice. :)
great editing, really nice touch showing the effect of the fullering, I dont think people appreciate just how much of a difference drawing out cross peining or fullering makes to what you have in front of you or just how hot it is even with gloves on. I like your attention to detail Fantastic design, love the industrial shipwright vibe and those rivets are super precise considering they were hand hammered
I think the serious genius in this piece, is when you stopped and it was linseed oil time. I knew you were done. It's perfect. If I had your skill set, I'd obsess and turn it into a monster. Well done as always T🎗
Brother Torbjörn! Now that was just pure fun! I am going to copy. Again. Any day one gets to use top and bottom tools under the hammer is a great day. What an all around excellent project! Cheers to you and yours!
What a beautiful piece. It really showcases your talent - like most of your work, I know how to do every process you used in this video but I could not have foreseen how to put it all together and arrive at such an elegant product.
Another beautiful piece, and an equally beautiful video! I appreciate all the hard work and attention to details you put into both, very much looking forward to the next one!
You need to make a video of all the beautiful things you’ve made for the house for gifts like an art display video. Be very interesting to see. I really enjoy your work.
Have you, or a family member started working glass, too? Beautiful metal and beautiful glass are synergistic. Thank you for sharing your skill and creativity.
When seeing you beating those red hot bolts or what they're called into the dish to lock the pieces together, it reminds me of the making of the mask in the movie The Man in The Iron Mask. 😂
There are a few channels that automatically get a "Like" from me, before I even watch the video, and yours is one of them, Herr Åhman. You never disappoint with your multifaceted talent and cinematography. So is the coal forge now retired?
Wonderful work. The texture came out great
Thank you John! I would say the texture on the back side could work equally good! Like something taken from an old boiler or something.
Eres un artista!! Buen proyecto!!
Eres un gran artista, ese plato quedó espectacular, único en su tipo.
@@torbjornahman It's like Benney Bark. But for Vikings.
@torbjornahman...Please make your followers from Indonesia a traditional knife called a keris with 9 curves!
Always a delight to see a new video from you, always learn something new. Nice to see UA-cam smiths making art, not just sharp, pointy things.
Thank you very much!
By the shaking of hands you needed to do, this is clearly a dish 'best served cold'!! Lovely video as always! Thank you for sharing your work, and inspiring.
:) Indeed! Radiant heat from larger pieces is nothing to joke about...
It made me realize that the dish is probably oven-safe... Pity it probably can't hold water. And it MIGHT not be microwave-safe either.
what a beautiful and elegant design. I also love the final contrast between the fragile glass and the strong and supportive steel. There's a life metaphor in it somewhere, I'm sure.

Thank you!

Absolutely riveting!
Yes, riveting is riveting! Very satisfying process :)
i really enjoy those edits where you break pieces off. they are very well done
:) Thanks
@torbjornahman they are extremely well done. I like seeing them too
As always a true peace of art, I always look forward to watching you work! Thank you for sharing with us!

I love the punched holes stretching the edges !
Gorgeous piece of work, thanks for showing it
Reminds me of the park bench you did a few years back. Watched that quite a few times . Looks brilliant. Keep em coming please. 👍 👍👌
Fascinating.
I, for one, am glad you showed the full process for most of the fasteners.
Because, unlike watching you drill the holes (which was boring), this was riveting!

wow.. a great design, and just enough humor.. love your work sir
:) Thanks

Sweet, thank you!
You constantly amaze me with what I think of as such a “crude” and rough process can produce, in the hands of an artist, such beautiful things.
They say if you have nothing nice to say that you shouldn't say anything, so i'll try to make this criticism positive.

Your Art Decor dish will outlast us all! Good job.
I like your magic
What I like about your productions is that there is no music and I can hear all the sounds coming from this work
“DANGER, Engage brain before using this machine.” 😁
That label should be on all American voting machines...
I agree with the sentiment, but, in a larger sense, such a warning shouldn't be necessary.
Error 404: Brain not found.
Yeah, means I'll have to visit the AvE shop again, because I don't recall having that sticker in my collection yet.
@@DavidSellars-b8l It’s a joke, not an actual warning.
Beautiful work. As a child I made ten's of thousands of nails with my father's forge. I never imagined some of the things you have accomplished.
great editing, really nice touch showing the effect of the fullering, I dont think people appreciate just how much of a difference drawing out cross peining or fullering makes to what you have in front of you or just how hot it is even with gloves on.

Much appreciated! Thank you!!
Every time I see your videos, they just get better and better. I really like the shirt you always wear. I need to get ahold of one.
Thank you!!

This is Art. The work, the video, and even the sound by the end. I love your work.

Thanks again! My pleasure, copy as you like, make a dome if you like :)
Crazy ! Perfect work and great result. A pleasure to watch !
Congrats and greetings. 😊
I think this is my favourite video yet. Keep up the great work, Thunder Bear!
Wow, thanks!
I am just stunned. So organic and playful yet so brutish in its proportion. I love it beyond. Truly beautiful.
Your technique for making the “tree bark” surface is clever.
0:22 Ah! It's nice to see that you've learned This Old Tony's secret steel cutting hand technique! :D
Stunning work as always! The radius of the rivet heads matching up with the edge of the plates was very nice
Another project the totally pegs the "awesome" meter. Anyone would be honored to have that on display. Love the use of the glass balls at the end.
Wow! What a beautiful piece. The riveting reminds me of the Titanic era.
What a beautiful piece. It really showcases your talent - like most of your work, I know how to do every process you used in this video but I could not have foreseen how to put it all together and arrive at such an elegant product.
A beautiful, sculptural artwork for the home - That the kids cannot break! Awesome!
Great timing. Was just binging a bunch of your videos. Awesome content. Thank you!
Cool, glad you like them!
*- Gorgeous art, Torbjörn ! ! !*
*- And sturdy too.*
Serious juxtaposition here. The artistry never ceases to amaze me.
Seeing the slugs drop out of the holes when punched puts a huge smile on my face. I'm not sure why, but it's one of my favorite things.
😍Lots of masterful work here! From the filming, to the riveting, it is a pleasure to watch. Well done!🤠👍
Another beautiful piece, and an equally beautiful video! I appreciate all the hard work and attention to details you put into both, very much looking forward to the next one!
Brutalism at its very finest! Wonderful piece. 🧡
Stunning!!!
Your videos and your work lighten my heart in these times… thank you Torbjön.
You need to make a video of all the beautiful things you’ve made for the house for gifts like an art display video. Be very interesting to see. I really enjoy your work.
Beautiful job. I'm about to start making the fence of my house and I gain courage by watching your videos. Greetings from Argentine Patagonia.
This may be suitable for the dishwasher. But the dishwasher is not suitable for the piece.
Art and craftsmanship united. Great work
That is such a beautiful piece of work!! Such precision!!! You are awesome!!!
Thank you so much 😀
I really enjoyed this video and the craftsmanship/ artistry involved in the creative pathway to thos remarkable piece!

Fantastic artwork. Love the style and design details.
Craftmanship, artistry, technique, great lighting on the final shots, and were those grade 8 bolts for alignment, wow

As all ways i sit with a dram in hand watching intently as to what this latest creation will be….never been disappointed yet.
Thanks from Kvite Bjorn
A real work of art!
Amazing work after a long time I was waiting for ..
You are a true master at your craft! Beautiful work, as always!
Lovely piece Sir. I think this is the first pure art piece I've seen you make. You usually focus on function as well as form.
Thank you!!
Beautiful work.
I love it! Beautiful work as always!
"DANGER Engage brain before using this machine" I've just made 3 of those stickers for my woodworking shopI
Thanks! Yes, great stickers!
That is stunning! I love this aesthetic! Beautiful job!
It looks fantastic. Like it was made of pieces of an old ship or something. I liked the combo of machine and hammer, and the gas and coal.
Beautiful Art Torbjorn!!!!
I very much enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up

Such a cool and unique sculpture in steel. I really like the texture and the rivets. 😊
Very Good, keep the videos coming!👏👍🦾
Brutally beautiful! Thanx for sharing your process. ✌️😎
Absolutely gorgeous, that came out so nice

Thank you!! No it's not, I will use it much more. The gas forge is convenient and good for larger stuff though.
Great work! I can tell you had a lot of fun with this video!
Beautiful work, and beautiful design, thanks for sharing, hugs from southern Argentina.
