    Hello.
    I'm getting there.
    Is it safe to say that markup is my sale price, and margin my profit?

    • @bradflynnofficial
      @bradflynnofficial  5 років тому

      Angel O yes margin is your gross profit or gross margin on the sale. This is what goes towards running the rest of your business overhead like rent etc. then what’s left from that is the amount that your tax is calculated on. Actually, I think this will be a great video for me to do, thanks for your question, stay tuned.

      @@bradflynnofficial It is kind of funny how simple it was all along once I understand it.

    Wait a minute. The Margin is on what you paid for it NOT what you sell it for. It is 100% on the $10 item you sold for $20. I'm the one with the MBA from USC.

      Margin is what you keep as a % of sale price. Mark up is A % of the cost of goods price that you add to it to get the sale price.

    Yeah fuck the margin, I want to know what my return on my $10 investment was.... profit is $10 I.e. I’ve made 100%... that information is way more valuable. Profit/cost
