I legitimately hope that they don't entirely eliminate the thargoid war. there are a lot of mechanics and loops that are really quite fun. it would be a shame to see it all vanish... (That being said, we desperately need new and varied non-ax content in the game)
I think they’ll let us destroy 7 of the 8 titans, and the last one will develop some kind of defence against the nano missiles and remain as a permanent feature. Maybe it will retreat some.
@@PhilHibbs i hope that were either retreat them only, and once we get to a certain point it spawns new stargoids that come to a new system and make another maelstrom in another section of bubble, or that we only retreat them to like the col 70 sector or some system near Barnards loop
Thargoids will become a new faction once powerplay 2 drops. They'll be led by that npc who has an ESP link to them.

Thanks for bringing us the news. As always, your articles are on point. Here's hoping we only see a retreat of the titans and their spire sites to another location and not their disappearance, as it would be a shame to see such amazing environments go away for good. Well done! o7
Always great news Commander's Buur and Rheeney. Once again, my desire for ED news has been satiated, at least for now. I'm looking forward to exploring the Titans and Spire sites without so many deaths. I could have bought a fairly nice ship with the many rebuys I've had over the past year! o7

I really hope all the great assets, spire sites, orthrus hunting, titans, etc., will still be made available in opened up permit locked areas of Thargoid space after the war - where we can take the fight to them. And we still see some incursions in the bubble to keep bringing some of those great surface conflicts
Strange earthquakes cracking open the planet? Definitely not the Old Gods coming to take out the Thargoids.
Sad to see the Thargoid war run down - one of the things I liked about it was as another avenue for PvE combat experience, which was more enjoyable to me than raiding resource extraction sites or joining faction battles. But I never got that involved with the Thargoid War beyond helping to push systems back into recovery. I do plan to return to get the new ships, though. And hopefully I'll get around to the long-planned marathon into the black and play Elite regularly fro more than a few months. Great video, as always!
I do hope Powerplay eventually gets reworked to allow new powers, or at least new faces and policies for existing powers. I know there will never be a way to wipe out a power - Can't have people losing access to the cytoscrambler.
I can't wait to see what the new power play is like.

The biggest single issue the over whelming vast majority of issue's player's have with this game is not only the gathering of needed aka mandated material's. It's the exchanging them at the material trader's. Up, Down, Diagonally, etc etc etc. WHY? When the engineer's are so smart, so intelligent so etc etc etc. Can they not determine that if you don't have the correct mat, another will do and utilize it. Any and all of one's material's are somehow on the ship you are flying when you go to the trader and also when you go to the engineer. Some how, the engineer, having all their smart's, intelligence, wisdom, abilities etc etc etc. Are not able to determine and simply do the exchange of one mat for another.
If and when the engineer's could and would be able to differentciate between what they need, what you got and simply utilize them would elimiate the time, effort, and sometimes more often than not, incorrect trading of one for more or less than another. Causing one to spend addition time gathering, going back to the trader again and again and again and ...

Hi CMDR Buur. How much of your week does it take to make the Witchspace News weekly show? Is it pretty much a full time job?
Just interested to know what the process is. And how do you stay motivated to produce quality content each and every week without getting burnt out? (I've struggled with contenr burnout in another guise (nothing to do with gaming).
We both work full-time jobs away from the Buur Pit actually.
Witchspace specifically takes all day on Fridays. We start about 8am with a production meeting over breakfast to discuss what we're going to cover and what footage we'll use etc.
And thereafter it's a full day of writing the script, and recording the voice whilst Rheeney cuts the video together in a rough form next to me.
After the voice work is recorded she then edits it into the video and tightens it all up before it's uploaded to UA-cam. Social media is prepped while the premier is queued up and then it eventually goes live.
We spend countless hours each week recording B roll to use in our videos. There's a similar process for the midweek video but the subject matter there is not always Elite based.
The rest of our time is taken up with community management, events and obviously playing Elite where we can.
As for how do we avoid burnout... That's a difficult one to quantify to be honest... it's being able to do this as a joint team effort and then ultimately it's passion for the game and the community I think really.
Tldr;
The Buur Pit as a whole is pretty much 24/7
But we really really love what we do (despite it being exhausting 😂). O7

I know a huge amount of people appreciate what you and Rheeney do. And It's good to know a little of what goes on behind the scenes. The quality of your content really is top notch. Sad to see Frontier twist the story to cover for feature delays.
Seems like the functions developed for Subsurface Deposit Mining and displacement. I assume once it starts Hunters will zone in on you encouraging teamwork as one "Driller" being covered while navigating the turpedo.
it would create a cooperation of players, attackers and defenders.
It would be epic and fun if the Targoid hordes increased as you overheated the titan.
The Xeno Strike Force is practicing combat missions in Titanspace and also practicing escort missions against Thargoids in anticipation of just this need.
I am still trying to get into the Thargoid ordeal. I got my ship the chieftan done just aint very good at dropping those interceptor things. Been getting wrecked lol

What about the Titans will retreat, but stay in the galaxy. Maybe in the California Nebula region. It would be hard to believe FDev would exterminate our faceted eyed friends and put all surface sites dormant.
I traveled to HIP 33601 but was unable to find where my notable signals were.... so I gave up!
I wish content creators would update there videos on guides / gathering materials more often as a new player to odyessy i find it very difficult to gather ground mats for suits and weapons etc ... Feel like I spend more time jumping around or respawning, paying bountys etc than I do collecting... Here's to hoping for another great video hopefully I can actually use
That's because grinding ground mats sucks so FDev added ground material trading to carriers

Do missions, accept material rewards. Trade these at material traders.
Take a collector limpet into combat, always.
Use the barkeeper to convert Odyssey materials, or just buy pre-engineered weapons and suits.
@@yamahamadness13 Credits are much much easier to get than odyssey engineering mats, and also it's certainly a fair price for the insane amount of effort needed to get odyssey engineering mats
I just wish I could find CG mats in better supply.
I've been pondering about this never being done in Elite before they have been hinting about it, Is it something like their own inbuilt material guide which is one thing that has been lacking and asked for over the years.
When you click on a material in the inventory tab it opens a new page telling you what it's used for and where to find it.
This info is in there for every one of the hundreds and hundreds of materials.

The best guide is to drop ED and start playing a real space sim with ship interiors, Star Citizen :)
