Wow! That's amazing. It's been 42 years since that moment took place, and late night TV has never been the same since then. Thanks, Dave!
Happy 42nd Anniversary, Late Night!
This is so awesome. Bill and Dave were so great together. Thanks Dave!
We miss you Dave. Your cutting wit and innovative comedy are needed in these dark times. Please please please come back and save us. You are our only hope.
I've always been a fan of Bill's singing and unique interpretation he brings to each song he covers.
Star Wars!
Nothing but Star...Wars!
Especially Roxy Music!😺
Just in time for Groundhog Day.
They’re going to upload the exact same clip tomorrow. 😉
I like how Dave is clutching those pencils like he's fighting back stabbing Bill with them lol
History in the making
Paul playing the Star Wars theme as Bill's walkout music might be one of the greatest subtle callbacks in TV comedy history.
I love that Dave keeps on trying to persist with the interview despite Bill’s shenanigans.
Hey Barbara could you please ask Bill to come on the next show? Pweeeeze!
Pure genius! Set the tone for the entire run of your show! I only wish you two would have made a buddy movie, ya'know? Like back in the 80's. God bless Bill & Dave!!!
Bill Murray's funny
Happy Anniversary!
Omg so good!!
Crazy Fun Fun Fun Entertaining Energy
Bill Murray has to be the funniest man alive.
Didn’t “Physical” become his permanent walk-on music?
"When are you going to get off your high horse..." First-show Dave looks like he's regretting that vow he took never to strike out in anger Bill mentioned some years later.
"Star Wars.....nothing but Star Wars....🎵
"Give me the Star Wars.....don't let them end....🎵
(Bill Murray SNL)
Every morning before classes started in primary school (elementary school) in the 1980s, we had to do a health hustle, which were those exact moves to that music! OMG, what a time!
Absolutely hilarious! Missed that one 41 years ago.
Happy 42nd Anniversary
Way to go! 👏
Love Dave. Love Bill. Love ham.🍣
Happy 42nd!
Could we please have some of Davids interviews with Peter O toole and Richard harris on the channel? Thanks for bringing these interviews back to life. I was not around at the time letterman ruled late night but am so glad i get to see all these remastered now. Best talk show ever
You can find a collection of these if you search for these names and letterman on UA-cam. Both are great storytellers
All I hear is Chris Elliot during Bills' break down and telling Dave off. Had no idea he took so much from this for his Guy Under The Seats character.
Keep getting the SNL skit vibes. And post Meatballs/Caddyshack, and pre- Ghostbusters trademark humor.. Classic!
Bill Murray, the first guest on Late Night, first guest on the Late Show, and last celebrity to appear on the Late Show. Look for a crazy 1984 Bill Murray Late Night appearance where Dave & Bill become blood brothers..
Bill, along with Steve Martin ALWAYS brought a 'gimmick' with him to every appearance.
Like the time he 'roughs up' an audience member (a plant)!
The way Dave keeps stroking that group of pencils, you know he loves Bill.
Bill Murray was channeling Bob Wiley back in 1982
Can't say it didn't start strong.
Who was Mr Murray's "dance partner"?
Don't do that! Had to check and make sure Bill was okay! Saw the thumbnail and my heart dropped. Didn't know about the anniversary. 😅
I was thinking about that
The actor of very nice opera along revolution digital ... ! ❤
Reminds me of Andy Kaufman.
This is funny!
they broke the mold
Bill might have been the first person to have a breakdown while being interviewed by Dave, but he wouldn’t be the last.
Cancún is Chinese for “black market panda I bought in Mexico”.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hiiiii dear Dave and ...... ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have ya done your family geneology tree, Dave??? It'd be interesting to trace the bloodline ancestory tree,,,🤘🏼
Question: if there was no Bill Murray, would there be Audrey Plaza or Will Ferrell?
Lucy Liu is in the audience.
------------------------- batty ball ....thanks4sharing
😂😂😂😂4❤❤❤❤
Just ridiculous BS for the entire segment...
This is why I love Bill Murray
Don't worry, Late Night (the program) is still alive
This was back when people weren't afraid of the colour brown.
Cheap cheap
Murray's a punk....
only if he doesn't like/respect you.
@@penoyer79 No one likes or respects him, he's a creep no matter what.
@@penoyer79 No one wants to work with him, he's a piece of dirt no matter what.....
@@penoyer79 No one wants to work with him. He's a dirtbag.
@@penoyer79 No one can work with him..... What a creep.
I guess being an obnoxious a-hole is funny?
He earned a good profession out of it. What a hustle.
look in the mirror-thats your answer
if you take his act seriously then no.
Lucy Liu is in the audience.
