    I use the Lee Ram Prime and the same press for priming my 243 brass. The system works great and it's relatively inexpensive.

      yes sir Tom. I like accessories that plug in to the press. one less thing to mount to the bench, thanks again Tom!! I always like your comments!

    Nice high quality, clear and concise video about the ram prime system. The only thing i'd do differently is inspect every case once its primed (you skipped a few ;) especially with the free floating firing pins that ARs have.

      hey Lance J.. Agreed on inspecting... i do inspect them again before and after reloading them as well. I also can tell if something don't feel right during the process. Floating fire gotta be careful ! Thanks for watching!

    hey Elvis! great to have another video from you to watch! I imagine you could put a lot of force behind those primers. have you ever had that ram prime accidentally set one off?

    • @elvisammo
      @elvisammo  8 років тому +1

      hey trojan horse! yeah lots of force can be applied! never fired one off in there! thanks for coming in and talking to me again! !! I'll let ya know if one goes off, don't think so though. .....

      +elvis ammo I've had one go off on the turret ram press before. scared the crap out of me!!! after that I was really noticing the force I was applying. thanks for the reply! happy reloading!! by the way, yes, I know exactly what you meant, I find reloading rather therapeutic.....

    Very nice I like it before I invest in one I always here to never touch primers is that true because if that's the case lee and rcbs would had never made this tool what are your thoughts

      @elvisammo  7 років тому +1

      ocean374 ..I guess if you believe sailors shouldn't have bananas or whistle on board, Than this could be true!! ; ) On the other hand I suppose it's possible to have wet fingers or otherwise soiled fingers that could affect the primer negatively! ; ) I guess you know my take. ....

    When de priming with that press there is no place for the old primers to fall into just on to the floor not good etc

      Mine is mounted on a thick wooden board on which I drilled a hole and carved a slope on the top of the hole hidden underneath the press to act as a funnel. The bolts I used to mount the press also hold a snap-on plastic lid which also has a hole in the top that corresponds to the hole above it. I then snap on the container itself into it's lid and all primers fall into the container.
