Dude that chowder looked amazing. I like how your wife is right by your side during the whole job of harvesting cleaning cooking and enjoying the rewards of your labor. Great video
Enjoy your videos. I spent 40 years as an engineer on harbor tugs and now retired north central Arkansas. I did most of the things you doing also but little old now and scaled back a lot.
I am an old country boy, who retired from the US Army. My first time, I was invited on, my friends, Boston Whaler. He was also retired military, working and living on Ft. Meade, Maryland. That was my one and only trip on the boat "crabbing". We had a ball. This was an awesome video. I will be looking out for your videos on and off the Tug. Be safe and Stay focused out there on the water. Keep the videos coming.
@FVMiss Paula…Cj being him up here you take him out to catch those crappie westerns shore “ Baltimore” crabs and I’ll bring him down here to catch some these good eastern shore crabs 😂💪🏽🔥
I am from Maryland and a long line of crab eaters. I grew up near a crab house and we knew the owners real well. He said they use a lot of JO because the more they use the more beer the people would drink at the restaurant.
You wanna catch a lot of crabs use bull tongue, or bull lip use that as your bait and you’ll do extremely well you could even use eels eels up in your bait. Good luck.🦀🦀🦀 from the Chesapeake Bay🇺🇸
Good morning Tug, girls. You had me laughing hard with first video with the crabs getting out in the kitchen and pot. 😂. I remember couple of the others video's. You always bring great video's. Have a great week family. See you next time.
16:20 that's because oldbay has an after taste. Actually if you we're to try a bunch of different seasonings you'd probably find that you like a lot of different one's instead of old bay.
The best crabbing video on the Internet, I congratulate you for your Channel and your outstanding job of showing us what serious crabbing is all about, God Bless.....
Great video!! It even made my wife want crabs so bad that she went and cooked crab legs while we watched your video and then we have made plans to go crabbing this coming weekend with hand lines and chicken!! Keep up the awesome content!!
I have seen all of these videos but I love crabbing so mush I could watch it over and over again thanks again sorry to here about the hunting camp saying a prayer for you
Always great to see content from You, Krystal, & Bianca. I love this compilation of different videos put together. I actually used your recipe for the smoked gouda crab dip last summer, I used a little less JO's and I got 10 out of 10 on from my Grandchildren, Son, Daughter-in-law, & DIL's mom & other 5 kids (her mom doesn't like Crab). I love the idea of catching crab with chicken on a string. Be careful though because the Jumbos wiil chase you lol!
Great video Tug & Crystal! Love all the crabbing videos. I would rewatch, like and comment on every one of them separately too. I’d say that you caught more than 250 crabs in all these videos. You made me drool more than a couple times. Thanks for sharing!!!
We thank you for the videos brother. Some may not know what to do or how to do it, so your videos are definitely helping them. Love this channel bro and I'm always waiting on the newest one. May God keep you and your family covered..
Aloha Ian. The mustard is good with rice. I’m hoping at some point in your life, you can visit the west coast and try dungeness. Or,even better, Alaska. Crab, spot prawns, halibut, salmon, steelhead, trout, rockfish, etc.
Always enjoy your videos. Keep it up. Love the way you three work together. The food, always looks good, makes me want to grab a chicken, string, and a net and head for the water. Keep it up.
Being from Charleston SC area and doing a lot of shrimping and crabbing by far shrimp on my plate! Crabs are just to mush trouble for wha you get. I remember when I was young my Mom really enjoyed tying chicken necks on the end of string and during low tide at the beach going to the end of the breaks catching crabs and cooking at end of the day and cooking. My Mom use to make killer crab cakes so I did enjoy those cause Mom would clean pick mix and put the mixture back into crab shells and bake. Now dats were some good stuff. Now living in Louisiana and not far from coast and crabbing areas but to tell you the truth I'd rather shrimp or crawfish any day of the week. Enjoy your channel and you're very fortunate to have a wife that enjoys doing this with you!!
I love your cooking.I’m in Michigan so I have plenty of opportunities to fish but I would love to crab pot like you can do in Florida. I use a trap filled with dog food and catch crayfish and minnows for bait. Great video 👊
Part 4 the best things of life that you can eat in life it self, so lets go for it for the best things in life it self is how to enjoy the things that was put a pond our table.
Holy moly, so much content. SO much great food, outstanding people and just all around good times!!!!! Took me a couple of days but awesome content TUG!!! Loved it :)
Close but that’s not exactly Maryland style. Some use vinegar but old school Maryland style is to use half water half beer or all beer. And that’s way too much JOs we fill up a pot about 5 times your size and put a full Bushel in the pot. Then we put JOs on top and it will melt all the way down to the bottom. About a half cup of JOs per half bushel which is 3.5 dozen crabs. So a full cup of JOs per bushel. No need to layer the seasoning.
This whole video made me home sick I grew up on the eastern shore of MD I’ve since moved to the Midwest didn’t know how Much I missed blue crab until now great video
Great vid... Try frying the cleaned crab in margarine (w/ salt n pepper) until fully cooked. I've had people tell me they've eaten crab all their lives and never had it so good! Thx
Being from Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay, you put way too much JO Seasoning in that little bit of crabs that you had if you check your blood pressure right now it’ll be through the roof is much stronger than obey. It would be for first time cooking Maryland style. You did a good job. Just thought you so much. Steve sees all of them.🦀🦀🦀
you should see the blue crabs in australia look like, same carapace, but their legs and claws are 3 times longer and more vicious. im in the south but i really do prefer steamed crabs, i use apple cider vinegar and coors light, it does somthing to the shell, makes it crack like a potato chip making it super easy to break apart, i make a seasoned butter mixture on the side to dip in
So funny. When this sailor from Michigan caught blues in Virginia, I didn't know to ice them. I fought them just like you everytime. We would catch them and cook'm right away 🤣
It's taken me a few days to watch it all but another great one! and I just saw your Tugboat video is over 360K views dude, that's awesome! I love to see it, now you just gotta hit that 50k Subs. I'm excited to see how far your channel has come.
I'm from the PNW.... Sesttle area specifically..... We steam or boil, depending on where we go and what there is to cook with 😆 My parents used to gonclam digging in the mid 60s. I love whole cold cracked crab with lots of lemon and melted butter to dip the meat in. I dont care for Old Bay or anything like that on my crab or lobster....ick ..
I like how your wife is right by your side during the whole job of harvesting cleaning cooking and enjoying the rewards of your labor.

All those stone crabs with missing claws seems a bit odd
Great video. 2 things 1 you need a bigger pot and 2 you need a bigger pot. By the way, you need a cold beer to go with those crabs. Love your channel.
Good call! Thanks
I love your cooking.I’m in Michigan so I have plenty of opportunities to fish but I would love to crab pot like you can do in Florida. I use a trap filled with dog food and catch crayfish and minnows for bait. Great video 👊

Taking both claws on stone crabs is mean. Love watching your videos. You’re a cool couple 👍
Is there a difference in jo crab seasoning and other crab boil seasoning, zatarains, etc. or are they interchangable.
Yes and no
What a mix of personalities.

Yo Tug Thats Exactly how I clean my Dungeness here In NorCal Nice Work
242 blue crabs for the haul! Chicken legs are the best bait too.
Great decision of letting the crab go!!!! Very responsible.
JO's #2 has the clumpy salt that sticks to the crab for steaming, so if you say it is too salty try #1 next time...
We made spaghetti sauce with crabs always growing up. It was so tasty.
Yum!
Great video but one thing you should cook your crabs upside down it cooks in it's juice heads up no juice in the shell dryer crab still like the video
A good excuse to go fishing with that found fishing rod!
You got that right!
Great video 🤙🤙
Glad you enjoyed
love watching you guys, we live in Delaware and crab on the eastern shore of Maryland I like to clean my crabs first then cook them in JO's.
