This just shows that of all the elements of brilliant machine shop operation (tools, materials, etc.), brainpower and experience are the most important. What a joy to see him work!
Great job. I have had to shred branches with an 8-blade shredder and a 4-blade shredder. I was very happy with the 8-blade shredder, the short pieces fit perfectly in the bag, even the thin branches, which I wouldn’t say about the two-blade shredder, were very disappointed with it. The branches fall, cross and the bag fills half empty.
Awesome watch! Very soothing to relax to and just listen to the sounds without talking!! Highly recommended if you want to lay back and put something on to wind down to !!!

I have a rocket mass heater stove and those pieces are the perfect size for burning to heat my home. Instead of carrying larger logs you can carry these in 5 gallon buckets. Since my heater is in the basement it would be easier to carry buckets down and just pour into the burner. I use an electric hack saw to cut branches like that which is time consuming. Thanks for sharing the video. 1000 thumbs up
That is a really extreme angle on that PTO shaft... if you start wearing out the u joints, i'd look into lowering the stand on the chipper so the angle isnt so severe.
Very nicely designed and built. It would make short work of cook stove wood, and kindling. You might need some shaft end bearing support on the little splitter, sooner, or later, but that was neat.
THAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!! I wasn't sure what the splitter blades were going to end up being until the very end when sheet steel around it..... I thought it would be for removing branches maybe, but that just didn't make sense.... I think maybe you need to add one more piece on each side of the blade to pull the tree ALL the way through since I see how some of them need to be pulled all the way out.... but I KNOW you can handle ANYTHING that needs fixing!!1 YOU ARE AWESOME AND I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!! This makes me proud to have Polish ancestors! :D
was thinking similar, some sort of driven rubber wheels in front would probably make it easier to use AND safer as it SHOULD slow/stop any kick back that might occur
Nice! The only thing I'd suggest for a future one would be to put the splitting accessory on the two bottom axles so they feed toward the opening of the chipper.
Automatic machines like this always make me uneasy, with a few exceptions that need to be automatic, like a lathe, things like wood splitters and stuff like that turn into death traps when you make them automatic, or worse, fast. A wood splitter I used at a place I used to work, while It probably could have been quicker, worked slow and split big logs into pieces by having you pull a lever. It can automatically move backwards, so you can set it to be open for the next log while you go grab said log, but it would NEVER automatically drive the splitter forward, because that's how you would break all the bones in your arm or fingers if you managed to get them stuck between the stop at the end and the log
The machine in that video makes it look like you could easily feed your arm in the splitter part while pushing a log forward. e: I watched it again and that thing is a death trap, lol
@@zermati You could get something snagged in a branch or a crack in the tree and get pulled in. Equipment powered by tractor power splines are insanely dangerous. Even a small tractor has enough torque and power to pulp human beings.
I will add onto op comment that no matter how safe you make it, without proper maintenance even the best designed system can break down. Have a log splitter attachment on my grandads tractor and the lever hasn't been cleaned or had the grease changed so the lever can get stuck in forward/back position. On backwards it will jerk into neutral once the arm is all the way back but forwards has no feature.
Agree. Experience has demonstrated these things to be 'death traps". A man died earlier this year in NSW, Australia by getting sucked into a commercial woodchipper; tragic. I've envied some of the homemade log splitters shown on UA-cam because my hydraulic splitter is so slow; BUT it has safety features built into it's design. Nothing automatic about it. I'll take safety over speed anyday.
Very nice work !! This will be handy for a small wood stove owner or to make kindling either way GREAT job building it !! Getting that balanced and everything is time consuming not to mention the time building it !! 👍👍
That looks awesome but might I suggest shortening the legs by 6in. PTO shaft angle is too extreme. It will prematurely we're out the bearings on the tractor side of the PTO.
Hola Hecho en Polonia buenas tardes. Muy lindo tu video mostrándonos el proceso de fabricación de esta tremenda maquina herramienta. I'm always terrified of builds like this with no safety cut off. One loose piece of cloth caught on a branch and your whole arm gets ripped off with no way to prevent it
Ох уж этот русский юмор. Меня как-то устраивает. Единственным адресатом должны быть те, кто у кормушки, а не простые люди, которые надирают задницу и тут, и там. Как всегда.
Skilled engineering and an impressive build👍. It looks unnervingly relentless though. Probably cheaper and safer to just buy a chipper with all the safety precautions etc.
Hey, made-in-Poland workers, I'll suggest you to make a door panel to cover the Wood terminators blades and allow no dust to get inside while it is kept in storage, but the door panel should open up to be a conveyor ramp so it is easy to load trees into it and also help you from getting injured from wood terminator's blade when you get caught up in the tree branches you are putting in wood terminators blades and get stuck out of the blades on the conveyor itself and avoid serious injuries or loss of a Limb/Fingers.
This just shows that of all the elements of brilliant machine shop operation (tools, materials, etc.), brainpower and experience are the most important. What a joy to see him work!
Amazingly done. Safety tip: Never stand in front of a wood chipper, you can be pulled in, always stand to the side. Be safe!
Maybe I want to be pulled in? You don’t know me.
@@slaphappyduplenty2436 Perhaps you live in Fargo?
@@thedevilsadvocate3710 Should have made it bigger if you wanted to pulled in. Hope you have a huge insurance policy for your family.

I like the way that you cut your keyways into shafts. It's simple and effective.
I’ve never seen it like this! Very cool, and for sure dead center in the shaft!
Высокая станина-большая нагрузка на кардан.

Nice build! This wood chipper needs an emergency-stop button though. If your hand is somehow stuck, you don't have any chance to stop the machine.
yes, safety is a horror....
And that hand will just… cease to be on your body
Safety 3rd
How do you know he doesn't have/want one?
No offense, jw
Only way for this to happen is to install mechanical clutch
This machine is literally an addon to your tractor's power shaft.
I have to admit that I was skeptical about this build but it really turned out great!!! Now that’s a chipper!!!
Exactly. I thought the key wasn't going to hold.
А не золотая ли щепа получится у этой,без сомнения, прекрасной машины.
As a welder and machinist I can say this is pro work. Not as simple as he makes it look.
That was amazing. Reminded of my grandfather. He had those kind of skills too. Full watch.

This looks like it would be really good for making smoking wood
Very nice job great to seeing the use of the shear pin
Wouldn’t want any of the innards of all that hardened steel going flying everywhere
Great angles! Love the fact that he gets straight to the point
