That remote chipper is awesome, what a great investment. My son is the mechanic for a logging company, the are in Oregon clearing 80,000 acres of burnt timber with an 85 man crew, they keep him quite busy. Love your channel.
Excellent work, I had the privilege of running a cat 320 with a fecon mulching head to thin roughly 300 acres forest. The 320 would cut ahead of a cat 299 skid steer. Each unit we cut had different specs like 15 foot spacing between trees or all trees 8 inch and under and all underbrush. One of best jobs I've ever gotten to do.
Hell yeah, brother! Love your set up. I replaced the head gasket on my 1944 2N tractor just in time to plow some snow tomorrow and Santa brought me a 3200psi pressure washer. Merry Christmas Sam!
Hey Sam! In or about 2004ish I operated a Vermeer chipper with its own grapple. We would drag the trees and limbs to the back with a skid steer and I would grab them and put them in the chipper. That would eliminate the need for a mini-excavator. Two pieces of equipment for one job. Only problem was, the chipper was on its own running gear. You had to tow it by itself, then go back on a second trip to get the skid steer. I know, long comment....hang on there. I loved the efficiency of that unit. It had some pretty good advantages. Just wondered about your thoughts? By the way, there is a pretty funny side story about running that thing.
Hell yeah brother! Hope you all had a good Christmas, this setup is bad ass. That chipper is a beast! I got a whole rack of truck parts for the Ram, and even snow! Couldn't have been a better Christmas. Side note the t shirts from the store are nice! Might get me a sweatshirt when they come in
Sam your videos are getting better and better and I’m really enjoying the narrating you’ve been including lately. Good job. Happy holidays and hell yeah brother!
You ever look back and wonder how you even worked without a certain new piece of equipment or process? Crazy how much one change can make such a huge difference.
wow your guys set up is my dream! thats excatly how id like to get shit done. good job. love the grapple and chipper combo.!! deadly. get that carbon on the ground aye? thats gonna be some happy forest
Got an Industrial Injection Phat Shaft turbo, injectors, new manifold, valve springs, pushrods, head studs and an Air Dogg 🙌🏼.. for the 1997 12 valve with 90k original miles. Just waiting on the machined rocker pedestals and the fun will begin.
Sweet set up! I got a bandit on wheels I thought about getting one on tracks but all my stuff Has to get shot in the back of the truck so there’s no point for me . 👍.
That button for the spring in the chipper is absolutely genius. Definitely helps to not have to get out and clear that jam all the time. Was it your idea, or did it come included already in the machine itself?
He’ll yea happy holidays hope I had good time with the family... for Christmas my lady got me after market radiator a shocker hitch and a deep transmission pan for my dodge
Bought a 36" tilt grading bucket for my mini excavator along with a 12" tooth bucket that I will modify to use when digging around utilities. Merry Christmas to me. Lol
I thought the bandit chipper clutch engagement was similar to the vermeer chippers. I was surprised to see it was nearly identical to the Morbark brand of forestry equipment.
Awsome setup! Question: If you were working an area where you had to collect chips would that chipper have enough grunt to pull a dump trailer of some kind behind it? Also how do you like the battery powered stihl ? Happy New Year to yall.
I'm curious. You must have to charge for all this? I'm from the North East and we would drag all this to a landing and the low grade would be put through a whole tree chipper. We have to buy the logs, and pay for the chips by the time or a lump sum payment. We do things similar to what your doing on a house lot where we would charge.
What is the cost of one of those Bandit chippers? Bought a 2016 Ford F-250 4x4 with the 6.7L Powerstroke. Looked at a Dodge with the 6.7L Cummins but its GVW would require me to safety it every year so if I wanted to delete it would of been tricky.
So I live in WV where the loggers leaves mountain looking awful they leave all tree tops, so is this a business I can get going to offer a clean-up for property owner?
When you saw your limbs to feed in the chipper if you just cut the back of the limbs then feed to hole thing limbs and all. The back cut allows the chipper to fold the limbs.
I wouldn’t buy a 2003/2004 6.0 engine. If you are going to buy a 6.0 engine buy a 05/07 and delete and turn it and and do upgrades while it’s out or buy a built motor and just be good from the start
I got some new diff covers for my ram 3500. Are you still happy with the hydraulic dove tail? I'm thinking of getting a new trailer but can't decide between the max ramps and the hydraulic dove tail.
Hey @Sam I'm moving to cali can I come work for you . I have tree work and climbing exp, & I'm a good operator skid steer, dozer, excavator, tractor you name it I've run it.
Sam a You Tuber Redpoopyranch is getting a 2nd generation dually. He wants to convert it to single wheel. I suggested he get with you and work out a trade. For the rear axles. God bless
The right tool for the job makes it LOOK easy. And I think Taylor better cut your food soon. All you do is sit now, gonna spread out like a truck driver that hits every single diner on his route.
Not a bad questions. We are removing the under proof which is the easier to burn and carry a fire. Under brush is the fire starter. Chips on the ground don’t really burn and when they do it is a slow slow burn. Plus we run a mulcher over the top that mixes dirt into the chips. Be hard to burn that stuff
I need one of those chippers. Don't have anything to clear I just want a remote-controlled chipper.
ah man i have one thats bigger and whew it is awesome not having to drag brush
It’s awesome to see family business doing good. Makes me happy to see. I bought lots of skid steer attachments at Richie bros this month lol

Hell yeah brother bad ass setup. New Ktm 300 xcw in the garage for Christmas. Keep on keepen on 👍🏻
Love your Set Up! So Sweet! You Know have Best tool for the Job! Most efficient.
Sam,I think you and your Dad do a GREAT JOB...
GOD BLESS YAL...
Nice setup Sam...cool watching your business choices...stay safe!
“You can’t haul that with a pickup your gonna hurt someone” lol. That chipper is badass. Makes my 12” Vermeer I’m buying look like a baby!
Hahah super trucker for life
@@VBELTandSON Nailed it!
A friend of mine’s grandfather started and still owns Bandit chippers
When you have the real bushy stuff dump a pile on the in-feed and use a log with the grapple to shove it through

Sam your videos are getting better and better and I’m really enjoying the narrating you’ve been including lately. Good job. Happy holidays and hell yeah brother!
Sam y’all have a great setup man, I like that a lot. Keep up the good work and the awesome videos.
Man I work for a logging company now in va and we don’t have a chipper as cool as that. That thing is awesome. Honestly your whole set up is awesome.
Its badass!!
You ever look back and wonder how you even worked without a certain new piece of equipment or process? Crazy how much one change can make such a huge difference.
Great job killing it in california! I'm just doing residential tree work and making it happen in mendocino county! Keep it up.
Another great job done 💪🏻✅
Love that setup! Dream setup!
Solid Work. Greetings From New Jersey
Hell yeah brother thats definitely a nice setup. Keep up the great content
Great to hear. Nice work.
That chipper looks like a game changer!! Beats running over that brush with the 12!!
wow your guys set up is my dream! thats excatly how id like to get shit done. good job. love the grapple and chipper combo.!! deadly. get that carbon on the ground aye? thats gonna be some happy forest
Awesome looking set up. Those little chippers are letting it eat bud!
That chipper is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time!! 💪
That was another great job thanks
Killer set-up guys 🤙
Seeing that unit drive by itself reminds me of maximum overdrive when the machines took over.
I am scared how well UA-cam knows me,first video on your channel and I LOVE IT!Not even 3 minutes into the video! Great stuff man! 😎🤩
Love the videos.
That chipper is a time saver for sure. Any way to get a look inside that thing at the drum, I wouldn't mind seeing the business end of it.
Bought all the parts for my First AR build!
Sick setup!!!!

Excellent work. Happy new year bro
Also you could use it for cedar fence posts.
Merry xmas! Bobcat E60r2 with a fecon fmx36. so much fun!
Hell yeah brother! That video was bad cherry!

Awesome video!!
Bought a 3500 dully New Years Eve.
That is awsome machinery yall have.
Brush Bandit has to be one of the best chippers on the market. They are unreal
Yup I got a 280xp. And it eats 👍
Hell ya brother 🤘. I got some new saw's for Christmas 😁
He’ll yea happy holidays hope I had good time with the family... for Christmas my lady got me after market radiator a shocker hitch and a deep transmission pan for my dodge
Damn all I got was a pair of socks. Lol
Tracked chipper on remote is cool setup never seen that before
Bought a 36" tilt grading bucket for my mini excavator along with a 12" tooth bucket that I will modify to use when digging around utilities. Merry Christmas to me. Lol
That's nice having it track you instead back tracking every load
You guys are killing it with that system and having the 12 to do a final pass delivers a park like product. Thanks for sharing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
nice set up boys !
I thought the bandit chipper clutch engagement was similar to the vermeer chippers. I was surprised to see it was nearly identical to the Morbark brand of forestry equipment.
that chipper looks like the 18xp i have one as well here in grass valley its big and yellow!
I think you do a great job. Actually, I know you do👏😎
Hey Sam, did you change your editing or audio? sounds different better tonight!
Can you show the functions of the chipper remote
Kenny for the win 🤘🏼
Like the intro Sam
I love the smell of cedar going through a chipper.
I plan on buying a banks diff cover soon 😎
How do you like those bumpers on the trucks I smacked a deer in my truck and I think it’s time to pull the trigger on a ranch hand style.
Awsome setup! Question: If you were working an area where you had to collect chips would that chipper have enough grunt to pull a dump trailer of some kind behind it? Also how do you like the battery powered stihl ? Happy New Year to yall.
It throws chips like 50-60ft. And battery stihls are great
I'm curious. You must have to charge for all this? I'm from the North East and we would drag all this to a landing and the low grade would be put through a whole tree chipper. Christmas? 5K HF Winch for my tilt deck. That's the easy part. Figuring out a mount is the toughy
Things I've learned if you do all the brush first then when it gets jammed you can take a bigger log to push it through.
For sure
I’m sure you have probably mentioned it before but how did your dad get the name v belt ?
Nice.
So I live in WV where the loggers leaves mountain looking awful they leave all tree tops, so is this a business I can get going to offer a clean-up for property owner?
What a time saver and money maker. Less time mo money
T and M, yummm. :)
Was that a burnt Johnnie 5 you took off of your trailer?
When you saw your limbs to feed in the chipper if you just cut the back of the limbs then feed to hole thing limbs and all. The back cut allows the chipper to fold the limbs.
That works good on pine or oak. Cedar just pops the limbs off a foot out on the bigger stuff.
@@VBELTandSON I didn’t know we don’t run into a lot of cedar in my neck of the woods
Question: someday in the future (4 years later), could ever buy a pre 2004 Ford Powerstroke crate engine to put it into project ram truck?

The neighbors at the 13 minute mark were impressed. They stood there watching for close to 2 minutes before you cut to a different scene.
Those are the land owners lol they are stoked. Their house finally has some sun on it and they feel fire safer
I bought a new speed feed head for my weed eater...does that count?
That chipper is a bad sunuvabiiiaaytchh!!!
Real shame you couldnt load up the chips into a dump trailer and take them to a biogas plant or wood pellet plant.
I got some new diff covers for my ram 3500. Are you still happy with the hydraulic dove tail? I'm thinking of getting a new trailer but can't decide between the max ramps and the hydraulic dove tail.
Hydro dove is the best. Won’t buy another gooseneck without it
I got a bed cover for my truck.
Love that chipper, too big for what I need but it would geter done. Lol
Boy the X wife would pass through that without a trace. Lol my bad. Still love her I guess, but I got a better one now.
😂

Business question if you don't mind answering:
Did you start off renting the equipment you needed or did you purchase it?
I don’t think we have ever rented anything. Just worked with what we had until we could buy into something new
@@VBELTandSON Awesome. Great videos by the way

I ran a Grizzly log truck for years. Made a ton of money.
Does your state require you to have a CDL for the truck and trailer you are running I would think your GVW is higher than 26000 lbs
Yes. Cdl required. I am tagged at 45,000. Normal gross 38-42k.
The right tool for the job makes it LOOK easy. And I think Taylor better cut your food soon. All you do is sit now, gonna spread out like a truck driver that hits every single diner on his route.

Sarcasm? Or you legit?
Kind of an asshat question but how fire safe are you making something if you are putting your chippings and grindings on the ground.

We don’t have fire issues in central Indiana just the occasional burn ban in the hell heat of summer
Bob cat has rc skid steers now and cat

We bought a 5500 Ram 120 Ca 4x4 to build a roll off truck.

150+
