Wife and I just got back from a five day cruise on the islander. First off the people who sail this ship have a much different outlook on life! Everyone I met and talked to, were very friendly and chill people. The “Rules” are a lot more relaxed than most ships we have sailed on. Yes the ship is a little older but it seems to be in very good shape. The crew couldn’t be any more friendly and attentive. Food was good,could have had a few more choices but overall it was good. Can’t wait to go again.

I’m just here to see what the experience is like. I pass the ship often when driving into the downtown area. The outside is eye catching. We’re doing a cruise next month but I’d consider this one for some time next year now that I see how nice it is inside. Thanks! Great video.

The ship looks great!! The vibe is what has me interested. My wife and I, along with 3 other couples, are looking for our next cruise adventure. Our conundrum is, where do we go? We are looking at 5-7 night trips, but my question for you is, what would you suggest as far as destinations go? There are a few that have our interests peaked, but we are to the point that we may just have to flip a coin, unless someone in the know can help us make up our minds. Oh, and the Sea Islander is the one we want to sail on. I have to have my balcony!!!
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. We really loved the look and vibe of the ship. Regarding itinerary, it's so hard to pick one without knowing what you are into. Our favorite itineraries so far are the eastern caribbean ones. We love Antigua, Barbados, St. Lucia... but those itineraries are usually more than a week long if leaving out of Florida. We really love the Virgin Islands (US and British) and Grand Cayman as well. On MSC Cruises we love visiting Ocean Cay (their private island). We hope this helps a little!

We don't recall seeing any models in any of the shops, but we also weren't looking for them. If they don't have them available yet, I would sure think they would at some point!
Woohoo! Your cruise will be here in no time and we hope you guys have a great time. We basically eat the opposite off camera of how we do on camera... we save all of our unhealthy eating (and most of our drinking) for filming days.
My wife and I favorite ship is in the Carnival Fleet. It's the Carnival Spirit, which the Islander is a Spirit Class ship from the Costa side of Carnival.
Thanks for sharing, Mike. We'd heard that Islander had previously been a Costa ship. We thought some parts of the layout were a little odd, but overall we really liked it! We'll have to try the Spirit someday.
That's a great question, but unfortunately we do not know the answer to that. If you can find a video for the other Margaritaville ship that was filmed during Christmas time, that would probably give you a good idea.
We try to cover everything... bars included, as lots of people cruise for the drinks. We do appreciate the feedback though. The Island does have an impressive amount of pools for a smaller ship. We hope you enjoy your cruise!

I think most of the negative reviews for Margaritaville cruises are for the one operating out of Palm Beach on the Atlantic Coast. We honestly thought that the Islander was an amazing ship.

You don't need a passport. You can get on with a drivers license and birth certificate.

MSC vs MAS pizza. Which is better?
MSC for sure. In our opinion it's the 10/10 cruise ship pizza. That said, we'd give MAS a solid 8.5.
