15 min after posting! Like #677. Thanks for this awesome video listing and describing your gear selections! Outstanding AF!!!
Whats all your kit weigh before water? And excluding film gear
lol, you know everyone went fiance? ❤ Being one of the few women subscribed to you, I for one, am over the moon you found someone into everything you are into. ❤❤
Question...would you do a video on hygiene in the field? Everyone has different ways but was curious as to your opinion on how to take care of individual hygiene and what you would use.
Shovel can be used as flat grill to cook 🤠
The Haters Can't stop Corporal from blessing us each week!💯
Why I love these vids, 100% honest info garnered from years of experience and 0% BS or showing off. This is what works and why it works, period.
Corporal keep manning up the planet since FOREVER!🇩🇪💪🏻🇺🇸
Badly needed
@@EdwinDekker71You are not a person. You are a severely brain damaged goose, squawking extreme idiocy. Please report for regrooving!!🤔🌠
@@EdwinDekker71 are you saying the earth is flat?
@@EdwinDekker71, you need a new profile pic!😂 😂
If the earth was level, the clouds wouldn’t descend below the horizon as they recede into the distance.
@@EdwinDekker71 lol. Its actually hot dog shaped, SMH.
I’m diggin this series brother. The educational breakdown helps those who learn differently grasp the concepts of what you use and why. My oldest son is on the spectrum and has been picking up a lot from these last two episodes. So, know it’s appreciated brother 🙏🏼🤠👍🏼
I particularly like your no-nonsense presentation. None of those "Hollywood entertainment gimmics" employed. Good information while being interesting and entertaining. Another great video. Thanks.
Sunday, the day for Corporal!
I like the whiteboard discussion up front. Very clear and helpful.
People complain but this ole boy always provides quality videos and his field craft knowledge is spot on…If you don’t like him, don’t click on him…the work that goes into these vids are many and complex…he’s an ace..Nice job Sean👍
I don't know what what it is about gear dump vids, but I freakin love em.
I like how you explain everything to everybody and that’s a good idea you should always have two backpacks two of everything in case you lose one thank you for all your information I love How are you tell us the right things to do and I love your videos keep them up
Two is one, one is none.
I always carry my extra cover in the top of the pack just under the poncho so that when the rain hits I can immediately cover the gear and any dry firewood I can snatch. Also I always keep a couple rubber bands, wrapped around my Bic. It is less likely to slip out of my pocket and each band will burn a minute or so even if wet.
I like everything on the video. The gear , shelter, and chow are on point. Great job. Enjoyed.

Charles 🪖🇺🇸❤️
As always excellent video and excellent content. See you next Sunday!!
Dude! You have a fiance that's a blacksmith?!?
Lucky bastard.
Visions of The Armorer forging beskar bedroll cooksets for her clan mate, The Marinedolorian. This is the way. Semper Fi and congrats
Congrats on the fiancé. The wife and I wish you both lots of happiness.
Cpl. Kelly..as usual an awesome AF video..I like your new format..beginning like a classroom, ending with the actual use of the items you carry.
Personal note:
Shawn, congratulations on the Fiancée, if she is making those grills and such, then she is a keeper.
Looking forward to next week's vid.
Stay safe.
Bad ass video! Corporal you do knots, shelter, and fire better than anyone! Continue the outstanding work! Appreciate the knowledge
I've been in the military active for 22 years and am just getting out.I absolutely love watching your channel
ty 4 ur service
Really enjoying the classroom style of the last few videos. We get to see exactly what you bring and what you think is needed. I'm impressed that your lady makes those cooking grills! You guys make a great team. Have a great week. See you next Sunday
One of the better emergency overnight shelters I've ever seen. Pure simplicity
You're always giving us something new to take with us so thank you.
These videos come at an ideal time. Now that the brain tumor is gone, I plan to start doing canoe overnight adventures this summer and these definitely do the job of shaping the contents in my pack. As always, outstanding AF content.🤙
I finally took my daughter camping. We slept in the car. It was painful. Lol. We made the best campfire ever!!! Made some great pork ribs. We got our Wilderness girl badges. At least 4 of them.
I have 99% of that gear. Love old school gear. Thank you once again, brother, for the informative video. I have upped my skills because of you. No one does it better than you, Sir. Semper Fi
Corporal, you crack me up. I was in so many of those situations in the Boy Scouts. Cramped under a tarp, staying dry in the wet mountains of WA. Otherwise, get wet and build a big fire in the rain. And the forest has been wet for days. Camp stove and freeze dried. Never mind going to battle. Respect to the boots on the ground.
I love sunday morning with the corporal
Thanks for something good, positive, and constructive. All the bad news videos I'm sick off. Thanks
The Bushcraft and the outdoor training is absolutely awesome AF but your outdoor cooking is my personal favorite. There’s a special magic about eating a meal prepared over an open fire and the smell of the entire process compliments the taste of the meal. There ain’t nothing better….. well, maybe there might be but this is a family channel so…. 😂
If you keep zip=lock baggies in your pack, you can fill it with clean water and use it as a magnifier to create fire with, and an actual magnifier as well.
Great content as always. I like the half classroom, half field format. Keep up the good work!
It's not Sunday until I see Corporal's corner!! Very informative and just a great video!! Thank you for sharing your skills with us!!
Felix Immler did a video about a month ago "Seat, backrest, table all in one" and I thought (bet Mr. Kelly could incorporate that in a shelter).
Four other things I include in my bag: A pair of socks, a bar of soap, a book and a set dice or cards.
Keep up the good work.
As someone else said, I really like the half classroom, half field video. Amazing video and I like the fact that you went into details also included the list.
Another excellent video Shawn!
And a huge congratulations on your upcoming marriage!!! 😊
Thank heavens for some comfort items!
I bet your morning started off much better with that quick light up stove and hot coffee!
Thank you for your brilliant advice. Wish you and your family well. From Stuart. Wakefield. England.
Love the video classroom series.
Keep it coming Corporal.
Stay Safe Everyone!!!
Really loving the classroom portion you’ve started!
video was worst 10-10 so this will be the last time we do this type of video
@@recall5811 hate to hear it’s not gathering the support for future posts with similar dialog but still grateful to see your weekly persistence in getting information out to us every Sunday. Thank you for that!
Great video Corporal Kelly!
Absolutely love my bed roll cook set and use it all the time.
Cool AF that your fiancé makes them!
Totally Badass.
Thanks for what you do, keep ‘em coming, we’re watching!!
🔥🥩❤️🤘😎🔥
Every week you knock it out of the park! Fantastic video!
On our camp or long drive trips I get laughed at sometimes for the amount of stuff I have in a bag, but you can always count on someone in the family or group needing multiple things that I carry, I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!
My favourite channel ! 👍🇨🇦
Fantabulous as always, Corporal! Congratulations to you and your fiancée as well! May you both be blessed beyond measure with joy and happiness! And I’ll say this hoping it will make you smile……Corporal’s gonna tie the knot!!!!! 🎩💍
Love and appreciate you Corporal!
Yep corprals corner is Sunday consistently.
That Corporal edition knife never stays in stock cause it’s the best knife ever. If Shawn is at a knife show , GO!!!! That’s where I got mine!!
Your informational and instructional as well as honest assessment on bushcraft/survival methods since my time in the Corps.
Always worth checking the R value when looking for a sleeping mat
I forged my own cook set. There was a lot of pausing videos so I could recreate it. Every bushman should learn blacksmithing.
This is vintage Corporal's Corner!!! Useful, informative and applicable. Well Done!!!
Bought my skillet a few weeks back. Very nice!
Another outstanding video Corporal 😃, I'm glad you went back to the basics cause I think we lose track of what the basics are 😅, keep up the great work and looking forward to your next video 😁🤙🤙🤙
Great video and excellent tie in to last week's. Building up from a small pack you keep wearing to a backpack for moving from camp to camp is a great way to learn the basics. If your truck was working, next week would be great for showing how to kit and pack it up for going out sticking to the 10 C's and then little extras to make things more comfortable.
I liked and am commenting. I promise to watch the video later. Sometimes I just leave them going while I do other things.
This is an awesome video, and this is a fantastic series.
Also, hope Little Dude is doing well with School and hope he get's featured in future videos 😊
After losing a kayak under a waterfall during freezing winter temps, and my drybags filled up with water under the pressure... I recommend putting the bic lighter in a ziplock or something inside your dry bags or boxes. Just as backup. I could not get my bic or matches to work. Luckily I had other people with me and we got a fire going.
The shirt! OMG the shirt! Well done, corporal. Please, carry on.
love this type of videos, I've learned so much from you, it's much appreciated!
greetins from Switzerland!
Love that you put the smokes into the wants category that’s a beginning step of quitting for many. The mental shift from need to want. I quit in 2017. Had been trying for 10 years prior. Recognizing the want not need aspect was key for me.
Start of a good Sunday morning, Coffee and a new Corporals Corner video!!
Another USEFULL video! Be well my friend! Bill Doyle from NJ
From mid fall to mid spring I like carrying a road flare. 15 to 20 minutes of 2000F flame will dry out wood and is an instant start. Coming from Ontario, Canada this is a great emergency item that is worth the weight.
My gear has been set up using this concept for quite some time. Level 1 in pockets, 2 around waist, 3rd in ruck. 5c base built up to 10c as a level is added. Also same goes with 1 = 0, 2 = 1, 3 = 2. Thank you for putting all of this into a series!
Good information and very useful. Brother I and my granddaughter appreciate you.
Congratulations on becoming engaged! All the very best for the both of you.
First! Let's goooooo. Always love a good Corporal vid!
the theranos shirt. hilarious!
Corporal - I watch almost every video you put up, and I appreciate the content. I have a different take on some of your wants/comfort items. Unless you're talking about zombie apocalypse, SHTF, DROL situation, there are three things that come before the 5 or 10 C's in my opinion. 1.) a plan left with love ones - having the locations you expect to be, the meds you are on, photos of you and your gear, and when you expect to be back are all needed to mount an effective search and rescue. 2.) Comms - if you are not meeting your plan, there is a reason why - truck broke down, medical situation, got lost, inclement weather, etc. Having a Garmin or other satellite backup, Ham options (VHF/UHF radio, HF radio), or GMRS in addition to your cell phone can be the difference between spending days out in the woods, or getting the help you need in a few hours. I like to have 3 comms back-ups when I'm miles away from civilization as most of the places I go have no cell service. The added weight is only 1-2#'s. 3.) IFAK (and the training to go with it) to deal with that medical emergency (trauma, break or sprain, allergic reaction, etc.). Keep up the good work, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
As always, you got it going . Some are afraid of failing even after the simple way you present camping. You encourage them realize to that they can't fail if they get up and try again. Just believing you can do it can make it happen, and you show them. Well done.
Shout out from PA!! Thank you for ALL of your wisdom and sharing your knowledge. Your the A10 warthog of Bush crafting.😊
Yep, that time again. Good Sunday morning Corporal. So much to learn. Thank you for all the lessons. I have gotten our bug out bags all ready. You reminded me of some things I had forgotten about. We have one for each of our vehicles. But, if it comes down to it, we will be going nowhere unless it is absolutely necessary. I will not leave my home and all our preps. Be safe, have a great weekend. God bless everyone 🙏🏻. People need to pay attention to everything going on around you and then some. So much crap going in the world today. It is going crazy. Love the videos, thanks again. 🫡 🇺🇸
Just subbed to your channel, like how you describe everythang. I heard ypu talk aboit the solar charger and at forst I thought mine was crap until I figured out not to leave it in direct sun. Like a phone, it wont charge if it gets warm. Believe it or not, it works well in light shaded areas and it charges well. Hope this helps. I have this channel and I also have an outdoors channel as well where I do stealths and survival challenges. Again, gr8 channel and thanks for makin'the video
I lived in Alaska for 30 years and the rivers are the highways through the bush, I always wore a sterns inflatable fishing vest with my "essential gear". My son and I were on a flyout float trip and at one point the raft and all of our gear came loose and floated away when we were fishing upstream. It had a happy ending but could have been a fatal mistake.
That chicken looked SOO good! That's awesome that your fiancee makes the bedroll cook sets! Badassery. 👍❤️
one of the greatest and most underrated scenes in a movie
Great video and just received my bedroll grill, love finding out today it is your fiancée that makes them! Thanks again for making my Sunday the best!
Keep the content coming love your videos
Another Great way to start the week! As you said if you have the room, take it! Everybody seems scared to take some creature comforts.
I appreciate all you do Shawn I know it's your living but, you really help alot of people with your survival knowledge and tips you pass on and it helps someone like me that is disabled because sooni will be using it to survive the way his world and our government is doing keep it coming, my son ws also a corporal in the US Marines, thank you for your service
Sunday Funday at Corporals Corner!Great video 📹 Shawn. Week after week you get her done. Most people should appreciate that. Thank you.
Another spectacular informative video. Thank You.
I look forward to every Sunday
Back to Basics. Well done.
No final Thoughts this week?
Thank You and
Carry on Corporal!
Excellent video. Appreciate the time you took to explain everything in detail and the justification of each piece of kit. 👍
Well done. I like the low profile tent and the small dug out fire pit. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for the video!
Have a great week.
Sir that t-shirt is outstanding AF! 😁
AWESOM AF INVENTORY OF EQUIPMENT. Thanks for doing this.
Another excellent video showing the right way to handle one's self in the woods. I enjoy all of these videos ... bring more! Al
Great video Shawn. Love the overnight demos.
Again and again... THANK YOU! for sharing your knowledge.
I'm digging the "classroom" then, show and tell actions afterwards. Perfect! Total explanation and then experience. We'll thought out instruction and then function. 🤔 I love the way you have Improvised, Adapted, and Hopefully now Overcome this new 2023 world. And stayed true to the goal! You have definitely made the right steps to be one of the GOAT 🐐! I salute you and your sacrifices.
Thanks for the review of the equipment. I am repacking and forgot some items. I enjoy your videos and have been a fan for a long time.
As a engineer it would be cool to do a white board drawing before you build your structures. I would love to see your visions laid out on the coporals teaching board!!
Good flow of what is needed in small webbing for wandering. Real military mindset.
What I admire is that the Corp is a practical thinking-on-your-feet type of guy, who doesn't mind getting down and dirty to explain what he is doing in his videos. I would much rather learn from a man like the Corp than those so called "outdoor" experts who pitch their tent in a living room, or camp out in a backyard or a grassy parklike setting, with clean clothes and brand new shiny camping gear. Muck around some more Corp. You're the best. 👍👍
A bit of a tight fit for us big boys, but I like that swag man roll idea. Very interested in the grill set. I didn't know those were hand made. Seen to much of the Walmart crap. The fact that your fiancee makes them is awesome. Great video.
I dig the gear dumps and the fact that you explain the thought behind it all. Thanks Shawn. God bless
I love your Gear dump videos! They are outstanding and very informative.
I had no idea the limited number of cook sets that were made in a week! That’s a useful piece I’m of info knowing when I get frustrated that they are out of stock so fast and frequently.
