Good question-I wonder if you are referring to a randomized clinical trial instead of a clinical control trial. If so, randomized clinical trials and randomized control trials are the same thing. However, if it's not randomized (clinical trial only), there is bias because randomization removes bias from a study.
The study actually states its a randomised controlled clinical trial and subjects were randomly divided into two groups. However, both groups were given different interventions to compare one against the other. There was no control group or plecebo. Its single blinded. But without a control/plecebo im not too sure if thats a good study design.
@@Patelsafia1 if it's randomized, it's a good study design. When there are 2 groups, one group is the control group while the other group is the treatment/intervention group. Sometimes it's not feasible to have double blind study, and perhaps that's why the study you're referring to is single blind.
@@Patelsafia1 that should be good too. It all depends on what the study's research question is... Perhaps they want to compare 2 interventions (ie. Electric toothbrush vs manual toothbrush).
