    Nice video, but here is some suggestion, the video since 2:00, it's really dangerous that stand behind when the mower is lifted up, think about this, once the hammer hit a stone, it will fly out backwards. The mower rotor is running at 2200RPM at that moment!!!!

    Two important things here. Make sure your bucket is raised up so you can make sure your center of gravity is screwed up for an easier roll over. Second, make sure the wife and baby are close by in case that mower wants to spit any debris out of it and hits the aforementioned people and cause serious trouble to them. God forbid something were to happen to them.

    I recently ordered the 65in ditch bank flail from Titan. Good to hear positive feedback on them. I'm a bit hesitant since they're on the budget end of the flail mower spectrum... but for the few times a year that I need one just can't justify getting a high end make/model. Thanks for doing a great job of videoing the mower and reviewing it! I'll be looking back at your assembly video when my mower arrives! Thanks.

    Is the upright position only for transportation/storage or can it mow in that position to keep brush from growing in over a trail in the woods?

    I'm looking at a few flail mowers. So far 1 specifies a cutting height adjustment on the machine. Does the titan have a cutting height adjustment on it or do you adjust it with the 3pt lift?

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  2 роки тому +1

      There is no height adjustment on the roller. I need to make a quick video that shows how I drilled holes to adjust the roller 2" lower for a better cut

    Interesting, I purchased 84" about a year ago, hooked it up and the dang thing would not mow.. I thought for sure they had mistakenly put the wrong gear box on it and that it must have been rotating reverse.. Nope, The design was bad, The mower should sit level on the ground (just like most implements) seems it would just roll over the weeds. my weeds were about 12-16inches high. The problem I resolved with the mower was the leading edge of the mower was too low and would push over the weeds, then the cutters were too high inside and would pass over them, the trailing roller would then hold down the weeds until they exited.. I filmed this all... I am sure if I hovered over the weeds about 12 inches the mower would cut off the tops, I can do that with my brush hog.. I sent my Titan back...

    I found when I cut the fields that the mower seems to cut uneven on the edge due to the articulation being straight and it does not follow the terrain as well.

    i need one of these ditch offset mower. I have a kubuta l3010. do you think it will it work for my tractor? My current flail mower can only go up and down. Let me know what you think thanks

    • @meadsoutdooradventures
      @meadsoutdooradventures  3 роки тому

      The mower requires 2 sets of rear hydraulic outputs. One makes it move side to side, the other for rotation. As far as capability, the people at palletforks.com should be able to tell you.

    Not to be a Karen or anything, but you really should tell your wife and kid not to be anywhere near the rear of the machine/implement while it is on in the future. I know it was just grass and free of most debris, but its not even worth risking it considering if something happens when it comes to debris from attachments hitting people, its usually permanently debilitating or deadly.

    • @Noah_E
      @Noah_E 2 роки тому +1

      One of the main benefits of a flail over a rotary cutter is that debris is thrown down instead of out. It's not like a bush hog that can turn a rock into a bullet.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure That's a bit disingenuous isn't it? According to AAA "Americans Spend 70 Billion Hours Behind the Wheel" that's per year and doesn't include passengers. How do you think the injury/death rate would compare if people spent 70 Billion hours around a working flail/rotary mower per year?
      "Living is a risk, but it is worth taking." - Pretty sure a toddler can't fully comprehend the situation and make an informed decision to accept the risks involved in being within the danger zone of a working flail mower.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure pretty shocked at this comment. As someone who grew up farming, and has run equipment like this all my life, I've seen debris fly hundreds of feet. We are currently praying for a child who lost his foot in a mower accident. I've had friends with serious injuries, and a neighbor died on a compact tractor. Yes, you have to live, but taking foolish chances seems trivial until it's a child you know in the Hospital or in the ground.
