I love this first tune, from Scotland. I don't know the name of the reels right now.
Actually, we first recorded this on the fiddle but after we were done my brother said something like "This is awful, grab a whistle", so we recorded this version on the low whistle. But if you still want to watch the fiddle version you can do it on our Facebook page.
A direct link to the fiddle video: watch/?v=345...
Thanks for watching!
AS an Irish man that play Irish trad, it fills my heart with joy to see and hear people of other countries play Irish trad and play it with the same passion as us Irish.
I agree :) My dad was in a trad band (called shamrog) for many years when i was a youngster (in the 90s) but he sadly passed in 2001. I was brought up in the trad environment and i play the whistle myself... I just love these guys. I cant believe how amazing they are... and from Mallorca: One of my favorite places and my dads too. I'm listening to all their videos right now :D :D :D
If you want to hear my dad play tin whistle in his hay day here's a video from 1990. But i dont want to spam this page its only if anyone wants to listen :) thank you. ua-cam.com/video/0-z99Ee89us/v-deo.html

@@monksee Your dad was one amazing whistle player.
Boris Stankić thank you 😁
I don't know why, but this version brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful.
Do not ever dare to stop playing, Hector.
hahaha, the camera work at 1:00 is great.
A very soulful Hector the Hero plus reels for a damp and dreary day.
What a great combination of tunes. I hope I'll be able to arrange sets like that some day ;)
First one is usually called "Tommy People's". It's not a composition of his and has many different names.
And the second is the "Roscommon".
Great! Super performance, oh yes, I love the low whistle and the fiddle....I need a handkerchief by listening to your music...greetings from Germany, Konny
C'est vraiment super ! Congratulation !
Nice playing! And very much enjoying the album, thanks for sending it out so quickly!
Beautiful....
Lol I was just about to say the same thing. :) 4 or 5 years! I still listen to the first video I watched, all the time. :)
Beautiful!

Please, please, please tell me you have a CD! I love your music so much! My mom used to play like this and I miss hearing her. I'm sure she's playing beautifully up in Heaven now.
really nice job lads, good version of Roscommon Reel too.
Love the first one!
Brilliant.
Thanks for the inspiration Hector. I was home in Ireland last week and bought a flute so we shall see what a little practice will do. By the way, that second tune is called Tommy Peoples Reel.
muito bom!!!
Good stuff, always a pleasure amigos!
The low whistle is so wonderful to the ears! Didn't realise it but was looking at one at a markets and didn't even realise it, should have got it then! Oh well hopefully another one pops up again. Keep up the superb tunes!!
+Nikita Lynne no need to wait for that next time..cause there is Amazon.com. LOL
true haha, for some reason though finding one at the markets seems adventurous hahaha
Good
Very nice music
Me too!
Great playing from the both of you! I see that your brother is playing an Art and Lutherie. I have one too. They are very awesome and underrated guitars.
nice to see you here, too. just watched your last video when you put it up...
Lol I like how right towards the end there your brother looks up at you with this alarmed look on his face, and yours just screams "Errm, Problem??"
That's great!
It's so awesome to see how you two have improved together over the years. Incredible job as always! When's that album coming out? ;)
this sounds fantastic. if you had an album I would buy it.
Ive been watching you guys for years now, if you do a live recording of your stuff it would sell for sure.
Holy damn!!
I've been watching you guys since your first video and I gotta say you've grown up so much!
I wonder how different I am now since then o.O

I don't know the second reel, but the last in "The roscommon". Great playing both.
BRILLANTE! :)
A similar slow air you might like is "The Dark Island", it's on UA-cam by Celtic Festival.
Great performance! Any chance that I can find out the guitar chords for this song, guys?
I played the first reel at music camp, but cant recall the name.
Qué bonito :)
I'm pretty sure he's playing a Chieftan in D (low). Tengo uno que pedí por red
What brand of low whistle are you playing? It has a beautiful tone.
speechless, you guys should upload more videos, amazing amazing amazing
Thanks! But are you sure you want more? We have 92 videos already... lol
TinWhistler Yes more!
TinWhistler no matter how many pieces you guys have performed, it is still not enough, loll
Naqib Naderi Sure? 102 videos now... lol
the first tune is a rather fast version o "Hector the Hero".
anyone know what the first song is called???
Go brea
I like. Great sound that whistle makes. Whats the whistles name if I was going to buy one? Thanks
Oh if you what to join two or more words in a Link in Tags put " " around them, "low whistle" will come out a one link not two words
I love your music! I am going to save up money to buy and learn the low d whistle. Did you ever learn the name of the second song? It is absolutely beautiful to hear.
whats the last song i love the fiddle part
It's the same tune from the beginning, Hector the Hero. Watch a fiddle version of this video on our Facebook page: facebook.com/photo.php?v=345507938845021
yes, is a Chieftain, but ,if you can pay it, I advise you a Kerry pro or a Overton. The Low Burke are good too, need less pressure, perhaps you prefer that.
I would like to know the kind of whistle you are playing. thank you!!!
Hector the Hero, as in the title
I wont lie you: If you had an album I would download it ;)
The second tune is definitely Tommy People's.
It has been probably asked a thousand times, but what is that flute? D?
What are the reels that you play, they are really nice after Hector
tommys people reel, roscommon reel
great playing lads
do you know calums road?
Yes, we played it: Calum's Road / Bó Mhín Na Toitean Calum's Road / Maud Millar
You don´t say? I meant the tune. Is it D or C or other?
great video what is your tin whistle model ? with brand pls :D i want to buy it
This low whistle is a Chieftain. Thanks.
Make an album, and they will buy.
@tinwhistler Dude I'm such a huge fan!!! Do you play shows?? If so I'd love to be there!
Visca Espanya!
Más vale tarde que nunca, muchas gracias!
Man, that's awesome! Since you have tunepal (yes, yes) can you find the first tune name?
yeah sorry about that. stupid question. :)
is that your brother? I didn't recognize him (2)
very diferent !
is this a low Bb? I play Fife, whistle and Bagpipes but been looking for a Low whistle. What should my first be?
It's a low D. If it's Irish music you're after, get it in D, the standard key.
Hello, what type of irish tin are this? Thanks for the music
Chieftain low whistle in D (old model).
Good tempo. Best to let the melody speak for itself and not over sentimentalise it.
What key is this low whistle...D ??
Yes, D.
Hey dude what whistle are you playing?
Michael Robinson I think this is a chieftain low d. He answers this in the comments of another video where he’s playing Homer’s reel.
is that your brother? I didn't recognize him
It's a low whistle.
Not bad :)
Soy de EEUU. Fue cerca 200 dolares cuando yo lo pedí
Hands up if you like the picture on the wall too !
This tune is very inspiring. Is that a Low D tin whistle? Thanks!
Levy Carneiro it is yea
Levy Carneiro
It's actually a Low Whistle, bigger than the Tin Whistle.
Wow you played with george michael ! :D
Oh, my bad.
I want to say C, but don't quote me on that.
I cant express how much i love this....minus that terrible note that didnt fit at all at 1:29. otherwise one of the best examples of tin whistling i've ever heard
