Slow reels on F low whistle and guitar

- Two traditional Irish reels played slowly (the second one with a bit of a swing). Please bear in mind this is NOT the traditional Irish way to play reels, we just wanted to have some fun. As usual, the ending was improvised. Dixon low whistle in F and guitar.

Excellent listening to a more tuneful and thoughtful version of these tunes which are usually played very quickly and sometimes spoils the tune . Well done , brilliant !!

Hola! Exacto, desafortunadamente Tony Dixon dejó de fabricar whistles en un montón de tonos, como este. Los Susato son especiales, sí, son diferentes. No tienen tanto el sonido típico de un whistle. De low fa, a parte de estos dos, solo conozco el Goldie, que es espectacular, pero muy caro. Mi Chieftain low re no está mal, aunque es un modelo antiguo. Gracias!

Madre mia.. Hara 7 u 8 años os seguia, me vi todos vuestros videos mientras intentaba aprender a tocar el tin whistle.
Ahora os encuentro de nuevo, seguis haciendo buena musica y vaya cambio habeis pegado! Esta vez me toca hacerme un low whistle de PVC, a ver que tal se da, seguid asi!
Precioso!!....Tb me gustaaría a mi divertirme de esa manera...con ese control y manejo del instrumento!!.....
Tengo una Tin Whistle en D (la tipica) pero nunca empiezo a practicar......Entre la guitarra, armonica, cajon flamenco y demás....nunca saco tiempo (es una excusa...es la pereza realmente...jj) para ponerme un poco en serio.
Viendo videos como el vuestro siempre me animo......pero me cuesta mucho....
Me gustaria si pudierais, decidme donde puedo encontrar algun tema sencillito en Tin Whistle que quede bonito acompañado con una guitarra marcando los acordes!......

Which reels are these? I know I've heard variations of them before but can't quite place them. Great job with the detail and ornamentation!
the 2d is Teetotlers Reel I think.
3d one I think is Star of Munster.

@TinWhistler , donde compraste la low dixon en F? yo tengo la clasica en Re, y tambien la travesera en Re, pero en las webs habituales de musica folk de aqui de españa nunca he visto la dixon en F (tununtunumba, arcoiris musical etc), y aunque ya tengo nua chieftain en F, seré raro pero me quedo con el sonido de las dixon de plastico :)
+Alecs Lee En la tienda de música de la Rambla de Palma (Mallorca) hace bastantes años. ¿Has probado en la web de Dixon?
+TinWhistler Por lo que parece estan pendientes de abrir una nueva web y en la actual apenas aparecen los productos basicos todos en D xD, pero gracias por la respuesta, era por si conocias alguna tienda online de confianza por aqui por españa que se me hubiese pasado :).

+Nicolas Agnarus Gracias. Cuando tocamos, ponemos a grabar dos cosas simultáneamente: la cámara y la grabadora de sonido "Zoom H1". El audio de la cámara lo desechamos, usamos el audio de la grabadora.

A good beginners tune that will help u with all your notes and is very easy to ornament for later is the roaring barmaid at a speed you are comfortable with of course

What are reels?
A type of traditional fast dance tune very popular in Ireland and Scotland which has two groups of four notes (so, it's in 4/4).
Sounds like a native American flute. Very nice sounds. Great guitar playing, too.
Sounds like Martin Hayes if he played whistle :)
