You did nothing wrong. You have to keep the family at arms distance. Given the opportunity, the whole family would prefer to live with you! Dating a Filipina definitely has some pitfalls, especially ones from the province.
grandma is a beautiful soul, I would not hesitate to have her watch my children when needed.. grandma will always be there for her family. nothing wrong with how she wants to live and where.

Brother they are always talking about you behind your back, trust me if you run out of peso, they will leave you, just like they used up taytay and leave him, brother make the back up plan just in case, get a safe from shoppe with finger print recognition, put your important things in there, that's no good what they are doing to you, I know you not making any savings now, plan to protect yourself, could be a year or three years but continue the fall back plan

In (Upper) East Tennessee, we have a rule of thumb when it comes to kin- you live far enough away so you don't see them every day, but not so far away that they need to stay overnight! 😂

It's making their life better. If they are with you all the time they are watching TV , eating junk food, living like they are single. Meanwhile their home life is on hold. Eventually things at home blow up, and you get blamed. Don't become the guy everyone blames their problems at home on. It will happen.

husband speaking age 81 Saw this story up near the Canadian Boarder yesterday on my I-phone but does not always allow me to comment.
My mother - in - law was with us for many years in the U.S. - only works if the daughter is willing to let her mother be the boss in " her " house. The husband
is out of it. IF the wife wants to be the Boss in the home, there is going to be conflict.. Had some heated arguments between them ( glad I do not speak their
language ) Mom had a serious stroke and we were able to put her into one of our Adult Care Homes - and give her a good as pollible rest of her life. She never
stoped working around the garden , always wanting to do something. She got to travel with us though to Vegas ( wow ) Canada, Calif., and several other states.
