yeah they made slotless ones you can change lanes and pass other cars, Tyco made the best ones like these they actually steered and ran really good... on my RC channel search tyco tcr I have demo videos of when I had a tyco TCR track 👍

Not that familiar with that chassis, but bet you could modify and add a guide pin like on Tyco TCR cars. 😎
