@@aquisaysheanmifelamerot.6606 I make courses in the style of what would be seen in a traditional 2D Mario game, some even including a sort of secret exit, but sadly those types of courses are really rare to actually find for some reason. Lots of the time when I play SMM2 I find myself playing my own courses more than what other people make, because it's so difficult to find the courses I want. I know they exist, but most of the time I only find low-effort or overstimulating "refreshing" courses instead. If you're interested my maker ID is in my channel description.

I love the fact that you're using an underutilized enemy for a whole level gimmick here! And I was shocked at the Wonder Flower section, I was sitting here wondering "why is this level called Melon Meltdown" the whole time and then it all clicked. Amazing level design!

What I got was a level that actually was geninuely creative and feels like a level you'd see in the game such small details really helped it stick out. It had the playful attitude of Mario Wonder's levels

I will say I don’t recall what levels the giant watermelon wheels were pulled from. Did those come from levels or did you have to retexture other wheel-like terrain to make it fit?
I absolutely love the design! Great ideas! My only problem is that the second 10-flower coin isn't multiplayer friendly, though Nintendo didn't really hold back in that aspect when it came to certain level design either. It was still a fantastic use of the theme anyway, so it's barely a complaint. Great job dude! Glad you're back!

Honestly, my favourite part of all these custom levels you're making is seeing all the ways you use the Talking Flowers. I know it's all just dialogue from the game, but you still manage to always make them charming to come across!
Bro these custom levels are insane. The watermelons turning into Lava Bubbles is the goofy stuff that makes me enjoy the Wonder Flower and wish the base game had more of.

Wow! This actually looks just like a level from the game! For your next level I have a suggestion: Bullrushes in the Blizzard, which would be about using bullrushes to clear snow.
@@Rimea Yeah, for whatever reason the first thing I thought of when I saw the snow blocks was that it would be cool having them interact with bullrushes. Also, bullrushes don't get nearly enough attention in the game despite being incredible versatile and hoppos, which are kind of their counter-part (Both having levels in the first open area) but hoppos get used much more.

WE GOT MORE WONDER STAGES LES GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! also i really like this stage, the watermelon graphic looks so outta place yet fits right in (somehow) the 'vines' (idk the name of these) being retextured is also a nice touch and the wonder section watermelon circle -> lava circle is pretty damn cool, ngl we are so truly back
Thanks! I guess the melons' sort of realistic art style fits alongside things like the realistic dinosaurs in Odyssey in that the clash in art styles is intentionally weird.
I wish there were more food based levels in the game, MawMaw Mouthful is one of my favorite levels and we only got two levels based on that one food candy theme. I love to see an entire food-based world with growing fruit platforms, this level right here, and many others. Good job!
Bedsides the Watermelon's graphics not really blending perfectly with the rest of the environment, I think this could easily pass for an actial Mario Wonder level, and the Wonder mechanic was so clever too!
0:24 I am not sure if you did it on purpose, but the way the purple coins falls into the pit is genius. I had no idea it was a pit, because the leaves kind of blend in with the floor, but the coin falling made it perfectly clear.
I love stuff like this, because the fact that coins always fall in that pit sort of annoys me, it wasn't intentional at all. The original game's forest level also has these bushes that cover the bottom of the screen, so I figured people would understand that they're not solid, but I hadn't even considered that this is sort of taught to the player in this way.

These keep getting better and better. But gotta say, kind of jarring seeing just a watermelon in Mario. Not like a cartoony one, just a realistic watermelon texture on a large circle.

This makes me super excited for Mario Maker 3, it'll most likely be on Switch 2 and that means FULL 3D MODELS FOR EVERYTHING and no more crappy 2D sprites that look awful! The SMBW theme will look amazing
I kind of wish the levels in wonder had more distinct themes on their own like how the 3D games are, And this is kind of that which is cool. (don't get me wrong the level themes in wonder are much more unique then nsmb and such)

the melons are custom remodelled versions of the circular platforms from the first wubba wonder effect section
