Yes the best part about this car now is if you get a warranty, this will not depreciate much from this point on. Makes for a good daily sounds incredible too
Nice review. I have a 2015 Panamera GTS and it's a daily driver (> 95k miles). Have a blast EVERY day I get in it....the sound is stupid good and it's plenty fast.
@@MeynMotorGroup One side note: I leave the exhaust gates open all the time so you get the benefit of hearing the true sound all the time. The burble off the Sport and Sport Plus mode in particular is pretty amazing. All around, best daily driver I've ever had (and I totally agree with your assessment of it over the Turbo). The GTS is a daily hotrod.
Well it doesn't have many deficiencies 😅 that's just how Porsche tries to make em with little to no compromise. Excellent job on owning face lift version great ride!
If you’re interested in this vehicle I would also consider the 4S as you can find them optioned similar to a GTS much much cheaper and it has the same engine detuned a bit. The performance difference is about 30hp and the 4S is still really fast. You can also tune it to the same levels as a GTS though the GTS will likely have unique gearing and ratios.
Thank you for your great presentation Kevin, on this wonderful Porsche product. I am a BMW owner & enthusiast historically speaking; However, after some considerable readings and reviews of Posche subjects over the last year, I am shifting over towards the Porsche venue. I have some collegues whom have expressed that this is a common end result of many enthusiasts journey to Porsche. I sense an absence of compromise in Porsche, from the body and structural components through to the engine & drivetrain to the interior; It represents a product that one can keep and enjoy indefinitely.I have not purchased one yet; However, it represents some great value in the pre-owned market for units greater than 5 or 6 years of age. Please continue your great work ! Thank you again Kevin. Edward
Hi Kevin.Thank you for your exceptionally well and factual presented review and introduction to the Panamera GTS. I have been reviewing available presentations on this vehicle for some time.I'm in the BMW environment at the moment; and regret not examining other options at the time of entry when I was younger; you know how that goes-BMW at the time was the captive trend setter & couled with tunnel vision did not alllow for other rational investigation.I'm not in the correct financial position at this time to proceed; However, when that moment presents,I'll be much better informed to act. This is undoubtedly a solid choice for an avid enthusiast to procure a paractically engineered super auto to enjoy with pride for years to come.Thank you!
I’ve almost bought a Panamera V8 twice preface-lift 4S & GTS facelift. Both times heavy depreciation ran me away from wanting to own them, they were 3-4 years old at the time. But awesome drivers cars for their size👏. The facelift models are the way to go imo.😎
Another great review , i see European Performance is starting to let you drive some of their inventory wich is great and i agree with you this is probably the best Panamera to have , NA ,easier to get worked on and more reliable i assume .Also sounds better and 430hp is wayyyyyyyyyy enough for the streets
The reason why the steering wheel doesn't have any buttons on it is because its the sports steering wheel (the one with the proper shift paddles) if you opt for that wheel, Porsche are unable to incorporate functional buttons into that wheel for design reasons or even the heating function. That's the trade off you have to expect when you go for the sports wheel. The comfort wheel has all the buttons and the heating function but doesn't have the proper shift paddles, instead it has those weird buttons.
Great video, I was looking for a V8 S originally but test drove a turbo and had to have it. The GTS is great but the turbo is better. There are two choices of steering wheel with the panamera, the sports wheel in the cideo has paddle shifters and no buttons whereas the standard wheel has all multifunction buttons and no paddleshifters.
Really loved the review. Proud prior own of the same year/model. I daily drove one ,well two, for almost 5 years. The first fell victim to an accident 2 years in. By ‘15 there were many options in the class across different makers. I sourced another 13. it was that good. Daily drove twisty LA canyons . Tracked at willow. Can’t begin. Miss it. Would get another one…has to be the 13 tho.
@@animaticentertainment9663 only highlight of the first gen is the NA v8. If you want to the max power (that you almost cannot legally enjoy for 2 seconds) go for the newest one.
Interesting pick, NA V8 sedan that's not a charger or the old chevy ss or m3. I like it a lot from your review and the interior is nice, although the looks in the rear is really hard to get over personally.
Yep that's the list along with some Mopars. The Panny and Genesis are nice because they come in AWD I would love the Infiniti but such a rare vehicle to find but Infiniti also comes in AWD. 2013-2017 LS 460 can also be added to that list
I was born 2002 i got a thing for older cars there's something about older cars they look good, they are strong, and they have good refinement. Back in the day Mercedes, Porshe, lexus built very good sports cars.
A 1st gen Panamera was the first and only Porsche I have ever driven, when my buddy upgraded from a 2008 Acura TL years ago. That car could handle and that was also my first taste of the PDK. Incredible car, however I like the 2nd gen much more.
the only issue i know with these are the PDK transmission needs a certain service, not sure what it is, and if you get the Ceramic brakes good luck they are about 10k. I think the most reliable way to get these or any porsche is the v6 and non air suspension. but no one wants that lol
Thanks for your content. I've always wanted to purchase one of these. Never owned one. Im doing a ton of research because I'll be buying a used porsche.
Can you do a review on the 2nd Gen. Even though this car is a great car in many factors but the looks is still not for me, the 2nd Gen is much beautiful
Repair costs scare the sh*t out of me. Up here in Canada their going for 40K+ with more than 160,000KM on them.. Very scary proposition. Tie rods.. Ball joints.. tranny issues? I'm not that brave.
I agree. You definitely look like a bag of money to other people when rolling down the road and I paid less for mine than the cost of a new Camaro. From my own experience with my Panamera Turbo, people tend to automatically want to take advantage of you anytime you need repairs. They will ask you what is the make and model of your car? As soon as you say the word "Porsche" the price goes up. Even for simple basic wheel balancing or tire change. It can be anything that has the exact same repair proceedure as a Ford and the price still goes up. Their excuse is "Well, you drive a Porsche so you shouldn't care what the repairs cost." In other words, They think people who drive a Porsche is foolish with his money.
This car has a PDK Sport wheel, the instrument cluster is controlled with a stalk below the windshield wiper stalk. I think it’s stupid on a panny but people Option it on cayennes too. Weird.
That's a tough one I really loved the IS F such a great driving experience. Doesn't come with AWD so much less versatile. But as a driving experience I think the IS F is a tad more exciting but it's close

I like it and it's really been looked after well, whoever buys it is getting a nice car.
I think so too but you know me, still need a big warranty 😆 air suspension and all but at least it won't depreciate much

I can see that!
Love this car, considering one for my next purchase. Fun, four door AWD. Considering others as well....Golf R etc
After watching reviews on the GS, I got one. Now you’re making lean towards a Panamera GTS lol.
I actually did a comparison with the GS and a Panamera 4, honestly GS truly holds its own massive congrats my friend truly an epic daily driver
