I really appreciate Twoset's consistency in the occasional out-of-focus filming style 😂😂
Back to the basics, love it. 😅
Yeah, it's like the old times! Now we wait for the empty camera battery endings 😂
@@xandraxandra1437 I was thinking about that!! I was like "Hmm, they must have upgraded their camera, it doesn't cut in the middle of the video amymore..." 🤔
It's like scales - sometimes you gotta go back to fundamentals
@@twosetviolinand play out of tune once in a while 😂
3:53
Friend: “So, what instrument do you play?”
Me: “Horn.”
Friend: “Oh? What kind of horn? French horn? English horn? Trumpet?”
Me: “Nissan.”
Imagine someone saying casually they play the "50 mm Howitzer"/"Cannon" lol
@@etai007 1812 overture...
I think I remember the piece from some sort of movie or franchise. Can you tell me which franchise that is from?
@@sunnythegreat9312 In English it is known as "Carol of the bells", which is a Christmas song. Originally it is a Ukrainian song called Shchedryk.
@@peter.g6 Thanks
That violin in the pool BROKE my heart!!!! and the fact that his bandmates just kept playing SENT ME!!!!!
And that it landed on the concrete pad first... ugh!
And they laughed about it
@@crystalgaming12 I think they were mostly laughing at their buddy falling in the pool! I'm sure they know what water does to instruments
Someone on TikTok said that's apparently a skid they do
I doubt it’s a skit. These are Mexican mariachi. They take their art seriously so I do think they laughed at their mate
"Tik tok...I'm so confused..."
Yeah, that about sums it up
🤣🤣🤣
the video is 8 minutes but feels like 10 seconds 😭
HELP WHY DID U JUST SUM IT UP SO WELL
For anyone wondering, the chinese characters sacreligiously written on the back of the violin (祝白欣雅大爹生日快乐) Means happy birthday to big pop Bai Xinya.
its not a violin. it is either a ukulele or a small toy guitar
Poor instrument. Thanks for the translation!
Edit, it's a violin in the back so it counts
It's not just "happy birthday", the whole sentence is "祝白欣雅大爹生日快乐”...like, "happy birthday to big pop Bai Xinya".
I'd get that if Bai Xinya sounds like a guy's name, but that's totally a girl's name. Possibly a prank between girls.
Anyway, that's sacrilege reincarnated .
Oops I see that now thanks@@xandraxandra1437
oh yeah oops@@joedplayzofficial
After all these years, they're still out of focus as soon as they move, and I am HERE FOR IT
check the top comment, and TSV reaction:-)
@@e2pii213 lol thanks for pointing that out
“there’s a time, a place, and a limit”- eddy 😂😂 this needs to go famous
That water concerto musician is living her best life. Where was that instrument choice when I was in school? :O
It was in your kitchen faucet
My mother would have latched onto that lol. "Wait, we don't have to buy you a clarinet? We can just give you a laundry tub and an old colander? Done!"
the best thing is, she's a world class percussionist, her name is Beibei Wang, she can play basically anything written for percussion, but she likes contemporary music, so that's what we get
That instrument choice is called percussionist. Fun times when you can play around with toys (auxiliary percussion, or in this case water and some kitchen utensils, or weird stuff like a typewriter! yes there is a "Typewriter Concerto") But tiring some other times (moving gear from band room to outdoor gigs or tours)
2:05 is actually Kevin Zhu, you guys reacted to his Menuhin competition performance with Uncle Roger before, when he was tiny (and wearing his shiny shirt lol). He is now an awesome violin soloist! I went to two of his concerts here in Singapore, and both are extraordinary! That octobase may be too big for him (Hagrid should try it lol), but he can do magic on his violin! I hope at least some people went to check out his violin playing after watching that tiktok video lol
Oh my God, I watched their video reviewing Kevin so many times, he's all grown up now, I didn't recognise him!!
So happy to know he's successful in his musical career, hoping to hear more of him in the future. 😊
Isn’t he in Queen Elisabeth competition for 2024??
I’ve been to that same room before, it had two of those octobasses and they’re incredibly rare and it felt so cool just being there 😅
@MissTwoSetEncyclopedia I only knew it was him because I've seen that video on his IG😂 He grows from that little prodigy into a sweet and talented young adult now!
It’s called an octobass
"There's a time and a place and a limit"
Said by a wise man, Eddy Chen
"The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits" -- (variously attributed to Albert Einstein and Alexendre Dumas)
7:48 Eddy's reaction is priceless 😆
I need to know what was written on the instrument 😮😮
@@eugenia_valeroAnother commenter translated it to "Happy Birthday"
😂😂😂😂
And the background music being Verdi's Requiem had me dying 🤣
@@RQuiem-520this made me listen to half of the requiem
Brett looks really happy here. He's smiling so much ❤
3:33 My mom's washing machine plays the same tune when the laundry is done!!! 😂😂😂
Edit : I was informed by very kind people in the comments that this tune was written by Schubert. It's called "Die Forelle" (German for "The Trout") and is a lied, or song, that was originally composed for voice and piano. It led Schubert to later write the famous "Trout Quintet", which was based on this song. 😊
😂😂😂😂😂
@@fabriciogabriel9579 The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced it's the same one, or at least the same brand (Samsung). Which would explain why the tune is similar.
I never tried to compose a duet for violin and washing machine though. 😂
Wow. Talk about being "overplayed".
@@anathardayaldar I begged my mom to turn off the sound because I couldn't stand to listen to the same tune again and again, but she said it was useful to know when the laundry's done (I mean... she's not wrong).
Thankfully now I moved. My own washing machine is very, _very_ noisy, but at least it doesn't sing. 😄
It's a movement from Franz Shubert's 'Trout' Piano Quintet.
Parrot even included the hall reverb.
Violin in the dishwasher was probably one of those cheap $30 violins off Amazon
Let's hope so! Heartbreak if it was an expensive one.
Yeah I don't even play violin but that was terrifying, hope it was cheap or like already broken or something 😭 also hope someone shows them Dimash Kudaibergen singing Queen of the night on a staircase, funny and mindblowing at the same time lol
I was thinking the same, but still the dishwasher made me cringe like Brett and Eddy did!
What was that piece in the dishwasher video
I think it was Handel's 'Water Music'@@iexist1349
1:38 He's so talented he can play a whole string quartet by himself
The Shaq one was ✨iNtErEsTiNg✨
“The violin seems to speak!”
The violin :
-“kill … me…🤢”
“Dishwash the viola.” -Brett Yang 2024
the first one made me laugh a lot 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
The same 😂😂
The guy singing while laughing 🪑
😅
2:55 there’s actually a subgenres of metal named “Neoclassical metal”. I wonder what they would think about it, notable bands of this genre includes stuff like First Fragment. Though the guy in this video explained the idea very poorly. But to be fair the one time Twoset tried metal was also very sacreligious
I would _love_ a TwoSet reaction to symphonic metal. Please, Ling Ling/UA-cam/whoever listens to me, make it happen. 🙏🏻
@@MissTwoSetEncyclopediaI would love for them to listen to a Ne Obliviscaris song like And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope, considering the violinist for the band Tim Charles is classically trained too!
@@phantasmal914 I don't know this band, gonna check it, thanks ! 😀
The guy of the video is called Shred and has a quite popular guitar yt Channel. He is joking obviously.
Would love to see them react to some bluegrass or traditional Irish folk performances. There are some amazing fiddle players out there, and would be great to see B and E's reactions
Some of these are fun, some are horrendous, and that octobass is cool!
I can't watch videos where people destroy violins for laughs. I know it's illogical but I've always felt like violins (and other wooden instruments) have a spirit living in them
“Can I just say” Legend says he still tried to copy Eddy till this day
yess a reaction video with the blurry camera is back!
always have been and always will be one of my fav twoset content ngl
can i just say ... the only time you'll ever hear eddy say ''sacreligious, but i love it '' 4:29
3:38 out of focus TwoSet is back!!!
Brett & Eddie slowly becoming more and more traumatized
Twoset bi-weekly uplaods!!!! Can't believe out luck! Thank you so much twoset for all the content and I love the (more) og setting.
stop eddy looks so confused in 5:15 😭
i'm taking ap music theory right now and i felt so validated when i knew the chords at 3:02
Don't know what's better, the guy falling into the pool off-screen or the other guy laughing while singing.
Getting a new twoset video notif is the best way to recharge after getting my brain fried from math ❤️ The piano-running one was lowkey cool 😳 I would try that just to get some exercise while practising
Thank you, twoset, for producing NON sacrilegious, quality content for us so we can actually learn something about classical music without receiving EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!
One could say it's Shaqrilegious 😎
The mariachi one is so true

Ling Ling only knows the Tik Tok of his metronome
I've always wanted to write a windchime concerto. Whenever I walk by one I whistle a random melody to it
I really agree with how it feels horrifying to see an innocent instrument being destroyed in such foolish actions…
What a shame…
As a second violinist in the university orchestra, I can confirm most of our music in our parts is like that lol
Twoset 4 years ago: Roasting the octobass
Twoset now: 2:10 That’s pretty cool😂😂😂
7:23 isn't this the perfect violin to play flight of the bumblebees?
that video at the end got me so confused my face matched eddy's 💀
I couldn't stop laughing. It's just so messed up and random.

It's so meme worthy, please someone do it ! 😅
LOL the shaq one-
I just imagined Brett getting basketball lessons from Shaq😁

@@MissTwoSetEncyclopediaYou made my day with this image:-)
@@e2pii213 Happy to know I put a smile on your face 😊
Thank you for the recommendations. I think it's good to think about us newbies aswell. A few technical explanations here, a few recommendations there and some short explanations why a particular section is hard to play give us so much more insight. For example like you did with the upbow staccato or why the margin of error gets smaller and smaller the higher the note not just with the left hand but also with the contact point of the how aswell. I think this will Help to attract even more viewers from outside the bubble :)
I understand that longtime viewers and classical musicians might see that differently. But long explanations won't be needed here. Us never-ling-lings won't be able to process loads too much information. A few sentences from time to time will stack Up massively in the Long Run and it helps to appreciate the music even more.
I watch this Channel for about 2 or 3 weeks now and i was able to compile myself a nice Playlist :) right now im thinking about buying Tickets for Munic :D
Go ahead with the Munich ticket, you will not regret it🙂

That parrot was actually impressive
That parrot really woke up and decided to flex on every opera singer ever 😆 just kidding, lots of respect for all those sopranos, especially Diana Damrau. Also special shoutout to Dimash 💜

Big fan of 2SetViolin. 😂❤🎉
WE WANT VIOLIN CHARADES! 🎻
YESS
Hahaha I only see snippets in some articles, most of them kind of disturbing, about the "trends" on how to look attractive for teenage girls, epitomes of female beauty, of course it creating trends on the plastic surgery department, as it was with the Instagram filters before, not judging at all, just retelling what was seen.
Some fashion ideas are not so bad..
Then because there are certain backgrounds, inside jokes, to trends and music and soundtracks I do not unfortunately get the humor bits.
But sometimes! Sometimes there shows up a Tiktok that in a matter of milliseconds summarizes a very complex feeling and a phenomena and you feel your soul leaving your body and connecting with the universe and the human experience, great stuff haha
Shaq is not ok those are the heaviest juandist eyes I've seen so far. 1:48
Morning my beautiful and talented Breddy!
After these TikTok videos I can say that my eyes are in pain
7:47 WHAT THE BELL WAS THAT!?
I like pop music, but I think it would be so cool if they used more classical chords like augmented 6ths and Neapolitans
Ahahaha saved the best for last, I can't stop laughing. That was so UNHINGED!!
Yo Twoset a really cool vid like Eddy learning up-bow staccato would be learning the original bowing for Pag 5. Just an idea. Keep up the great work!
Rough day at the office in the first one. And the rest are like the show must go on😮
I always wanted to try playing an octobass.
that sound is just something.
“You can only watch these if you’ve practiced today, or else no TikTok.”
Me: *attempting to play on invisible piano while tapping fingers against the table in the hotel room…*
I just hit the glass of water I have in front of me 5 times. Practicing my rythm. 😁
Zhu Da Ming eventually competed in the Van Cliburn after practicing piano on cement walls in a Chinese prison farm during the Cultural Revolution. He had smuggled-in hand-written copies of the great piano works. Now that's dedication.
@@patriciasalem3606 Wow. That's... I'm speechless. That's both tragic and absolutely amazing. 😮
@@MissTwoSetEncyclopedia I know, right? He was already a late starter (9 years old) and then went 6 years without a real piano in his late teens/early 20s, a time when most musicians are in the most intense practice periods of their careers.
@@patriciasalem3606 Now THAT is a musician, nothing could deter him from his goal. I reckon that hanging on to his passion must have helped him tremendously during the very tough years he went through. What an extraordinary man...
I love watching 2setviolin I have never been so early too
7:25 This violin would be brilliant to play Flight of the Bumblebee
2:38 Brett you know the ring finger (or whatever the forth finger is called) is actually the third finger for violinists, you are doing this on purpose lol jk jk!
Not just violinists, I almost got the wrong finger inspected at a doctor after an accident cos I said it was the third finger and they thought I was talking about the middle finger...
Dang! That mariachi falling was just painful to watch

2:07 this is an Octobass, I remember a year or two ago, Twoset said it sounded horrible and there was no practical use for it.
Now they think it sounds quite nice.😂
