Great video! I thought that I may have had to throw my phones out, but with your instructions, I repaired them and saved about $150.00 in replacement costs. Thanks!
Thanks for the "How Too" for my phone button repair. I did not have the membrane kit but the cleaning has restored the phone to normal. Sure glad I watched your video first, or I would have destroyed the phone. Four more phones to go.
Cleaning does not usually last long. It depends on how much you use the phone, the environment and also differences in rubber keypad manufacture process but it never lasts as long as original. If you start noticing problems again you might want to get the kit and not have to worry about it ever again.
@@p1repair It could well be - but since this handset is in a guest bedroom and sees minimal use - I suspect that the cleaning will suffice for my purposes.
That was an excellent video! Beautifully filmed and well-described. Could you please link to where you got the membrane kit for this specific phone from? Thank you and best wishes.
I just tried cleaning alone and now my 0 button works perfectly. Thanks a bunch. ps) as I washed my rubber button pad off with hot water, a concern I had as it was drying off was... will I lose all my saved info I had on my phone?? (as I let the rubber pad dry off for about an hour). To let everyone know, the info was all still there once the phone was put back together.
I believe this model LCD is glued down with electrically conductive glue, not soldered or plugged in. Unfortunately they can't be repaired or replaced.

This tutorial was a LIFESAVER! I just cleaned mine (so much oil, so gross), but I'm definitely going to get a kit for preventive maintenance.
Fix 3 phones today thanks to your excellent video... Thanks for creating it and sharing.

Great tutorial - just taking it apart and carefully cleaning as instructed worked for me! Thanks... :)
Cleaning alone is temporary. Hard to say how long. Depends on a lot of factors.
