Hey, guys! 💕 Thanks for being here and I hope you you’re doing well! What do you think of this Starcastle?? 😍 I think it’s gorgeous! I’m definitely keeping my eye out for good deals on more! 💗💗
This might have been something my cousin owned when we were younger, I remember wishing I had this pretty castle and I would ask her often of I could play with it. She was a bit older than me and was probably entering a phase where she started growing out of these toys so she always let me play with it hehehe!
It’s always nice to have generous cousins who have lots of toys! 😂🥰 These are another Polly-like toy that I didn’t even know existed when I was kid! I’m glad I know about them now! 💕
I had this, still have the tower peice somewhere..i also revall wearing the key around my nevk to school and my friends world aswell. This set was magic for my imagination..esp also you would get a princess and swan peice and sometimes would play out the swan princess story and was same era as swan princess films so worked.
Yeees, more Starcastles pleeease🤩 They are so glittery and cute. Same as Skydancers, you don't see them very often over here in Germany so I was never tempted to buy one (thankfully)😂 I love your creative approach on reparing or replacing some of the jewelery parts and the key👌👑💍💎 The animals (especially the birds) are giant in comparison to the little princess 😂 Thanks for the video. 💋💋💋
If I come across some more that I like at a good price, you know I’ll be getting them! 💕 I’m really happy with the key and rings and earrings! I’m glad you thought it went well too! 🥰🥰 I actually ended up using both rings, because a little extra jewelry never hurt anyone. 😍 I put the pink heart ring over that clear pink part of the castle that the bracelet goes on. 💗 The proportions are definitely a bit off. 😂😂 The princess is really too small for her throne, and the chest is massive next to her. This seems to be somewhat of a common theme in playsets that are trying to be a bit like Polly Pocket. At times it feels like they got figures from a bunch of different toy companies and threw them all together. 😂 Oh well, the gorgeous castle makes up for all of it. 😍😍 Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for commenting! 💕💗💕💗💕
I have this set. Completely forgot it came wt jewelry (guess they were lost in the moves). So this was fun and nostalgic. :)I always adored the trasure chest. Easily my fav part. Also the birds.
When I was looking at this set and thinking about buying it, it wasn’t until I saw the birds that I was totally sold! 😂💕 But that treasure chest is also so cute! I’m glad you enjoyed watching! 💕💕
I just found a bunch of these castles from when I was a kid. I don’t remember the top necklace part, (I was only two years old in 1995) I think I have the earrings somewhere in some box but I did not remember they came with the castle. So much fun to see this in it’s entirety! 😍
Sadly, I don’t remember the animals, only the princess… But I think my parents might have hidden the smaller parts away from me and I somehow got to the princess 😅
It’s so fun to see our old toys again! 🥰 I’m glad you were able to see more of the set in my video! 💕 And how lucky that you still have them! There are so many toys I wish I still had from when I was a kid. I got rid of pretty much everything. Now I hold onto just about all of my kids’ toys so they can have them when they’re grown if they want. 💗
I love that you made a video about this set! I had the exact same as a kid and I was so happy with it 🥰 Unfortunately I don't have that set anymore, so a couple of years ago I bought it. It's missing most of the jewelry, but I do have all the figurines (except the swan) and I'm so happy with it ☺ I don't know why, but as a kid I always kept the princess in that yellow treasure chest and carried it with me everywhere I went. Now I keep the princess again in that chest 🙃
It makes me so happy to hear about everyone’s childhood toys! Especially to hear they’ve gotten them back as an adult. 😊 Nothing quite like getting to relive all of that fun again. 💕 That’s how I started collecting Polly Pocket. I just wanted to get the sets I had as a kid, which really wasn’t that many. At some point the addiction kicked in and now here I am. 😂 I’m so glad you got the castle again! 💗 I never knew about these when I was a kid. I can’t believe I wouldn’t have noticed them at the store with how pretty they are! 😍 Aww, it’s so cute that you used to carry the princess in the treasure chest as a kid, and now you still keep her there. 🥰 I think that’s really sweet. I remember as a kid looking at Polly and the babies in the Polly in the Nursery Polly Pocket set and just admiring them and thinking how precious they were. I don’t know what it was about those figures in particular, but I loved them so much. I still have the same feelings when I open that set today. 🥰 Thank you so much for your comment! 💕💕
@@RachelRetro Thank you so much for responding to my comment 🥰 I really love that we as collectors (and 80's babies and 90's kids) have the same love for these sets. I know the feeling when I look at my Polly Pocket sets and the Trendmasters Castle now. I also think they're just precious and they're here for us to be admired 🥰 I'm looking forward to the Polly Pocket Keepsakes that are about to come. I can't wait and I'm looking forward to seeing your next videos 😊 Have a lovely day ❤❤❤ Edit: I really appreciate your kind words, thank you for that 😊
Always loved star castles. My fav as a kid was the one that blew butterflies, but I never managed to get it until years later, second hand, when I was no longer a little kid. Skydancers were awesome. I wonder if I still have mine. Hmm... Also now I finally know what that extra tower was for. Kinda obvious in hindsight, lol.
Ooh, is that the purple one with yellow flags?? 😍 That one is SO pretty! I’ve only seen it on eBay and it always catches my eye. 😂 about the extra tower. It seems to me it would have been nice if it could connect somehow to the main castle for storage. I’m sure they got lost from the castle often back in the day!
Thank you! 💕💕 I just peeled off the sticky glue, and then to sand off the silver back, I used a regular nail file. It came off pretty easily! Of course they didn’t come with the holes since they were originally stickers, so my husband drilled those for me. I put some gloss mod podge on the back, just so the sanded plastic wouldn’t look too dull. I debated using glitter mod podge, because, I mean, glitter 😍😍 but like I said in the video, I was trying to keep as close to the original look as possible, so that meant no glitter on the earrings unfortunately haha. It’s hard to not use glitter when glitter is an option. 😂

How pretty 🤩 You can really see the classic vision that Mattel is putting into the new versions currently. I’m always excited to see what’s next 🥰🫶🏼💖

I like the fix you came up wt for the earings. Also sanding off the back is a great idea, I might try it sometime. :3 What did u use?
