I don’t care what anyone says, but this has to be one of the best hip hop songs in the past decade. Everything about it is brilliant. Even on the last part, it combines both of the beats from the sections into one, which just brings it full circle. Truly just a brilliant song. I hate when people say that Logic is one of the worst rappers alive, because although he has disappointed with his recent music, that doesn’t take away from his old music. Under Pressure is a fantastic album.
I have watched a lot of reaction channels on music, majority of them just re-read the lyrics and start laughing, but what I like about these guys is the fact that they get into a conversation about it, and express all the elements that they absorbed from the song! I just subscribed and I am hoping to hear some more reactions for you two!
"44 bars" from Logic's mixtape Bobby Tarantino is a great song. Also I highly recommend "Dear God" from one of his first projects called Young Sinatra: Undeniable
Great reaction guys, storytelling is really in the foundation of hip hop. Stan is a great example of that but not a landmark because of the storytelling just because it was Eminem and hes great. Hopefully through recommendations and listening to the greats of this genre you will understand that for yourselves and i look forward to seeing that if so. Some names you probably already had recommended that do storytelling and are some of the greatest ...Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Nas, Biggie, Pac, Kanye (2004 - 2007 and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy), Big K.R.I.T, Immortal Technique, Lupe Fiasco, Outkast, Wu Tang (especially Raekwon and Ghostface) and Jay Z. PS. Simon Ive been a fan since the VideoGamer days, i'm rooting for you.
Until you can say “I’m Gone”? Or you’re be here until you “Bounce.” I’m done. Only said that because I assumed your “till the end” was a clever nod to that song.
I’ve been a Metal Head since I was about 12. I’m just a girl from Philly and over 30. I am so impressed with Bobby T. I’ve been obsessively listening to him a lot lately.
So as a rocker myself who really doesn't know much about hip hop, I came across Logic on a UA-cam video. Like Simon, never heard of him, but in the interview I really liked Logic's perspective on music. Gave one of his albums a listen and I got hooked. For me, as a fan of blues, soul, r&b, but also someone who can get mesmerized by the rhythm of the flow of his lyrics, I really got hooked on the Logic song Confess. I particularly liked the darker aspect of the chorus where he talks about how no one gave a damn about him but the devil wanted him(wanted his soul) which really sort of touch on that blues aspect of how it can we can be tempted to the bad, even when we know its bad, because the bad actually wants us... and we just want something to want us. And I really loved Killer Mike's part in that song too. But Confess is like R&B, Rap, and gospel all wrapped up in a funky beat. Love it.
Kronx1970 glad you found something in it and enjoyed it! Far too many people write off music like this because it's rap/hip hop and they think it's all garbage
Just for some insight... Logic wrote this song because he got voicemails from his sister, brother, and dad all within a 48 hour span where he was doing three shows in two days. He wasn't quite hitting big at the time, but he was picking up momentum. He talks about how he felt like he was under so much pressure because he knew he had to keep working to help his family through all their problems. He wrote another song dealing with the complexities of dealing with that pressure later on called Buried Alive. His honesty and openness on tough subjects is why Logic is the, what I like to call, "Non Rap/Hip-Hop listener's favorite rapper." He's relatability to the general populace really hits home with people.
Man this song helped me so much ❤ didn’t know the literal story behind it, thanks!! I sent it to my dad years ago trying to.. tell him something.. I dunno what. He didn’t give a flying f 😂
Love the commentary, having the lyrics up definitely helps to understand everything. If you like the lyric-focused songs, maybe check out "Keisha's Song" by Kendrick Lamar for a powerful song like this one, or "Protect Ya Neck" by The Wu-Tang Clan for a more old-school, fun style.
Logic marathon would be the bees knees guys, or album review! Either or; plenty of GOOD music it’s all GOOD music doe lyrical some flow some sonic-ly just over all great fcking music, glad you guys are loving my dude! My favorite would be Dead presidents 3 straight bars flow punch lines And roll call over a classic outkast
Awesome reaction to my favorite logic song! When you're picking logic songs to react to, it's good to know the different logics. You have the young Sinatra logic, which is his early mixtapes talking about coming up to the big leagues, struggles with relationships, and ultimately realizing he's made it. It's a lot harder and faster than most of his album stuff. Under pressure (which under pressure and gang related both came from) logic was him talking about how making it big has effected his family life, he talks about his nicotine addiction, and goes into detail about his past. He purposefully didn't have many features because he wanted to tell his story. The incredible true story was his "I made it, but this is when I get to have fun with it" album. It's a much lighter logic with some pretty dope beats. Then you have Bobby Tarantino logic which is his latest 2 mixtapes. It's more about turning up and flexing because that's what the fans want. Especially in Bobby Tarantino 2, it went back to the fast and heavy style of young Sinatra. Everybody logic is his preachy "I'm black and white and everyone should just get along" side. A lot of the ratt pack didn't like everybody as much as his other albums, but he blew up because of it. Hope that helps a bit. I recommend dead presidents 3, growing pains 2, fade away, and till the end.
Under pressure is the greatest Logic album you will come across, everything about it is so captivating and has a deep meaning. But every mixtape and album he has done is incredible, it's no coincidence he's in the argument as the best of all time. I know this video is old but you guys should try and react to some more of his stuff.
I had a similar experience. I used to hate rap and was into alternative rock. I started experimenting with hip hop and I started to warm up to it, but this was the song that really got me hooked.
I really hope you guys see this as I am a HUGE Logic fan and I've been listening since the mixtapes. This is all real. The first three verses are his own pressures of him before music really took hold and on until he got his deal with the label. The next verse is a message that his actual sister left him that expresses her struggle. The next verse is basically summarizing the message his father left, which you hear at the end of the song (yes that is his father and a real VM) The next message is actually his brother, I believe it's his half brother, talking about his birthday and their dad finding a new woman. There's a song on Young Sinatra: Undeniable where he created a hotline for people to record messages, which he then used in a song so he is quite comfortable with using messages in a song lol. The last verse is obviously his response to his family. Fyi growing up Logics Mom hated him for being half black and constantly was throwing racist slurs at him. It got so bad that she eventually tried to drown him, the song 'Dear God' (another one of my favorites but it will make you cry) actually goes over this. He also moved out of his house when he was 14 to stay with his best friends who's mom treats him as her own. He started writing when he was about 16 and did his first real show at the 'Joe's Crab Shack' where he worked. He then quit and committed to music because of how well it went and had been making mixtapes since. He even created a Jerry-rig recording both to record. Sorry this is my favorite song by Logic. Also check out his Young Sinatra mixtapes, he spits some real shit on those.
I don’t usually comment but I just found you guys channel a few hours ago and I’ve binged nearly all of your hip hop react videos!! As a fan of both hip hop and metal (lightly) I love you guys perspectives and I find myself screaming at the scream in agreement, joy and just pure entertainment. Great content guys! I’ve subscribed ❤️
If you’re looking for a song with a crazy beat, listen to ballin by logic. If you want a “cruising” song that is really chill, listen to man of the year. If you want lyrics listen to buried alive.
oFesp ballin is stale, and buried alive is one of the worst songs on UP, and you called it “lyrical”, lol if i want lyrical logic im going back to Undeniable and listening to DP3, Set the Tone, I Made It, etc., not Buried Alive 😂
You guys are fucking sick! I wanna hear more of yous especially more of your rock and metal reviews. Cradle of Filth and Metallica and such. Good shit, keep it up. Both of yous are killing it!
Give something from the Young Sinatra or Welcome to Forever mixtape a go, I'd recommend either the song One, or the song 925. Regardless, I just found your channel while browsing UA-cam at 1am, and I love it! Keep grinding guys #Rattpack
You boys just got my subscription, loved the video guys def one of his top5 songs. I'll share with y'all another one that is top 5 current on some websites. Man of The Year, it's also the first logic song I heard that got me into him. May all also suggest NF the artist NF, he also has a huge not mainstream media fanbase.
If you lads didn’t know, Logic has Concept albums which tell stories and address problems in the world. Examples are: The Incredible True Story (T.I.T.S) and Everybody (wasn’t his best work but it does address a lot of worldly problems.) Then he has albums that are just to have fun and party. Examples are: Bobby Tarantino and BT II.
4 your eyez only- j.cole a storytelling song from his childhood friend's perspective and partially some of that friend's lyrics to a song that he wanted j.cole to write in his name to deliver to his daughter. (that friend passed shortly after having visions of his own death)
Love the Logic reactions, but id also like to see the Uk get represented on here at some point as well. Quite often with react channels the analysis stops at "the accent is weird" - but you guys obviously wont have this issue to anywhere near the same degree. Love the back and forth you guys do too, definitely keep that going!
If you want to hear Logic from his early career when he went by “Psychological” instead of Logic definitely listen to RapMan. Its a fun lyrical song that shows just how far hes come! Think itd be cool since you guys are kinda new to him to start at the beginning. Regardless great channel thus far! Keep it up!
Easily the best reactors I've ever seen. As a rap fan I'm very impressed how you guys interpret it and understand it. Listen to outkast. Aquemini and atliens. Beautiful music
Some good songs to ge a general feel for logic (in myh opinion) are: Dear God, Man of the year, Nikki, Soul Food, Buried alive, Wordplay, and Relaxation
React to: Growing Pains III Midnight (from his new mixtape & it has a completely different vibe than what you've seen so far so it would be interesting)
I was actually thinking about putting that one down, it's definitely one of the best on the mixtape but that's no the point coz Warm It Up is purposely made to be in his Young Sinatra days so it sounds like the 2011 Logic. I wanted them to react to Growing Pains 3 since it's a really good song & then to a newer one which has a completely different vibe to show how's he's changed
If you guys live the visuals within his lyrics you’ll love the concept of the incredible true story. While fictional, it really does immerse you in the story.
Eminem contributed to Hip Hop in a similar way Metallica contributed to the Metal genre in general, both trendsetting; I'd recommend Mockingbird by Eminem, or Like Toy Soldiers, both more "real" serious songs, but great lyricism and storytelling from one of the greatest (Slim Shady), he has 100s of songs but those are a few to really check out
He one of the goats but the songs you mentioned was when his writing was at his worst "2004-07" infinite , im back, criminal, soldier, Rock Bottom, No Apologies, 8 mile Road are great entries to get exposed to him
I don’t care what anyone says, but this has to be one of the best hip hop songs in the past decade.
Logic is a beast in rap. For me, personally, I think he is the G.O.A.T.
I have watched a lot of reaction channels on music, majority of them just re-read the lyrics and start laughing, but what I like about these guys is the fact that they get into a conversation about it, and express all the elements that they absorbed from the song! Joyner lucas got great storytelling too. Check out: Ross Cappichioni or keep it a 100
I love when new people listen to logic
Until you can say “I’m Gone”? Or you’re be here until you “Bounce.”
I’m done.
Only said that because I assumed your “till the end” was a clever nod to that song.
I’m so glad you guys are reacting to logic. In my opinion he’s one of the most lyrical rappers there are.
I’ve been a Metal Head since I was about 12. I’m just a girl from Philly and over 30. I am so impressed with Bobby T. I’ve been obsessively listening to him a lot lately.

I love the blues. They need to react to some Howlin Wolf!
Confess is really good for sure

Beautiful story, but I seems like a lie. Seems like he made it when he heard sing about me, I’m dying of thirst. And good kid maad city as a whole.
@@MrFwalk the storys are real lol what😂

I really hope you guys see this as I am a HUGE Logic fan and I've been listening since the mixtapes.
This is all real.
The first three verses are his own pressures of him before music really took hold and on until he got his deal with the label.
The next verse is a message that his actual sister left him that expresses her struggle.
The next verse is basically summarizing the message his father left, which you hear at the end of the song (yes that is his father and a real VM)
The next message is actually his brother, I believe it's his half brother, talking about his birthday and their dad finding a new woman.
Wait why did logic’s mom hate him because he’s black if she had to have sex with a black man to give birth to logic
Loving you guys. Excited for future videos.
I don’t usually comment but I just found you guys channel a few hours ago and I’ve binged nearly all of your hip hop react videos!! I'm glad to see people digging Logic, a lot of people didn't know he was mixed. They're still asking about his background. 🤷🏽♀️
Holy shit people who actually did some research... that's a new sub
His flow has always made me think of a someone scratching a record on a turntable.
This channel is gonna blow up
I’m happy you both actually listen to lyrics.

Logic is the greatest rapper right now
I know damn well you guys are doing a 1 800 video by Logic. That’s the major one for react videos for sure.
SOUL FOOD - LOGIC
If you’re looking for a song with a crazy beat, listen to ballin by logic. If you want a “cruising” song that is really chill, listen to man of the year. If you want lyrics listen to buried alive.
Man of the Year! Great suggestion!
44 Bars is a nice one late at night that makes you think as well
horrible suggestions, besides man of the year
Lites That’s your opinion. What’s wrong with ballin and buried alive?
oFesp ballin is stale, and buried alive is one of the worst songs on UP, and you called it “lyrical”, lol if i want lyrical logic im going back to Undeniable and listening to DP3, Set the Tone, I Made It, etc., not Buried Alive 😂
I just subscribed... keep doing logic songs or albums... Rattpack till my pulse flat
Love this guys! Keep it up!!
You guys are fucking sick! I wanna hear more of yous especially more of your rock and metal reviews. Cradle of Filth and Metallica and such. Good shit, keep it up. Both of yous are killing it!

Examples are: The Incredible True Story (T.I.T.S) and Everybody (wasn’t his best work but it does address a lot of worldly problems.)

This song is a masterpiece
4 your eyez only- j.cole
a storytelling song from his childhood friend's perspective and partially some of that friend's lyrics to a song that he wanted j.cole to write in his name to deliver to his daughter.
(that friend passed shortly after having visions of his own death)
"Like Woah" is Logic's best track imo. Best beat he's ever had
He actually did the production himself, it's crazy!
Logic made that song at age 19 while he was HOMELESS and working out of his friend Big Lembo's couch. A true visionary.
he made this song when he was 24, nice try
Yeah he even said in the album that majority of the album was made in 2 weeks.
Matt Wallace but still very young and awesome
I’ve been with logic since the basement, all the way to BT2. This song STILL chokes me up.
You guys are amazing
Soul Food is my favorite track on Under Pressure. The song is so lyrically dense and musically complex.
The song Nikki by logic is a must listen!
If you want to hear Logic from his early career when he went by “Psychological” instead of Logic definitely listen to RapMan. Its a fun lyrical song that shows just how far hes come! Think itd be cool since you guys are kinda new to him to start at the beginning. Regardless great channel thus far! Keep it up!
Please do more of these
You guys are doing an awesome job, love watching your videos! #RATTPACK
Easily the best reactors I've ever seen. As a rap fan I'm very impressed how you guys interpret it and understand it. Listen to outkast. Aquemini and atliens. Beautiful music
This song always makes me tear up.
I remember Logic calling this the "Hip Hop Bohemian Rhapsody" lol. That should show you the dude is always thinking outside the box.
metal heads reacting to logic...I love it!
1.5k subs already :D congratulations guys.
Awesome!! Do more Logic
Some good songs to ge a general feel for logic (in myh opinion) are: Dear God, Man of the year, Nikki, Soul Food, Buried alive, Wordplay, and Relaxation
More logic please! I wanna see your point of view on multiple songs on all his albums/ mixtapes
React to:
Growing Pains III
Midnight (from his new mixtape & it has a completely different vibe than what you've seen so far so it would be interesting)
Synergy Rather listen to warm it up.
Synergy growing pains III is so deep and good and so underrated it always end me thinking
Dead presidents 3 - logic 🔥 great reactions!!
That was fantastic! You should react to all of his album 'the incredible true story' and his new mixtape Bobby Tarantino 2!

If you guys live the visuals within his lyrics you’ll love the concept of the incredible true story. While fictional, it really does immerse you in the story.
Eminem contributed to Hip Hop in a similar way Metallica contributed to the Metal genre in general, both trendsetting; I'd recommend Mockingbird by Eminem, or Like Toy Soldiers, both more "real" serious songs, but great lyricism and storytelling from one of the greatest (Slim Shady), he has 100s of songs but those are a few to really check out
Humanity x nahhhh
Em is the GOAT.
He one of the goats but the songs you mentioned was when his writing was at his worst "2004-07" infinite , im back, criminal, soldier, Rock Bottom, No Apologies, 8 mile Road are great entries to get exposed to him
Yea I agree, the songs Humanityx mentioned are Em a bit past his prime.
'Buried alive' is a must if you're doing logic reactions
