I actually watched this film in it's Korean dub back when I was living with my grandmother in South Korea. For YEARS I've wanted to know what it was called (I was only four when I watched it). Thank you so much for helping me relieve a part of my childhood.
OMG THANKS FOR POSTING I watched this so many times as a kid I knew every line by heart and i played it so many times the vhs tape video failed. Thanks!
I still have my vhs version :D I've watched this movie at least half a thousand times, it was my favourite movie of all time from when I was 4 'til around 7 or 8. Such an awesome movie.
Loved this as child as I'm sure pretty much anyone watching this clip did. As someone else pointed out this was never put onto DVD. However, If anyone is curious I just found this movie on PirateBay with like 3 people seeding.
Diskotek has only released the first film, it has released the second or third yet, but then it could be released by another distributor who aquired the rights to the dubbed version, as well as Toei's original Japanese version. You can actually buy the DV's in orginal Japanese only in Japan. But they'll be in Region 2 format.
It isen't avaliable on DVD yet, but hopefully soon it might be. The first Puss In Boots film 'The Wonderfull World Of Puss In Boots' however is avaliable on DVD.
You guys have no idea, how long I've been searching for the title of this cartoon....years.... I remember watching it when I was a little kid and didn't remember the name..... found it today, muahahaha!!!
I haven't seen the Captain N episode 'Once Upon A Time Machine' but I'm hoping to soon, once I can afford to buy the Captain N DVD set. I didn't mind the look of the bobcat myself, however it would have been nice if DiC got permission from Toei to use their actual character design. It's rumoured that DiC had assistence from Toei Animation with some Real Ghostbusters episodes, however there's no way to prove that, unless DiC or Toei themselves admit it.
I still have this on video! Unfortunately, if I do upload it, the quality would be kind of bad as I would have to record it off of my TV with my camera... It wouldn't be horrible though.
sometimes there's a man. don't wanna say hero, cause what's a hero. but sometimes there's a man. sometimes, there's a man. and I'm talkin' about matthew staheli here.
Did anyone see Aesop's Fables? An anime' version where a kid is cruel to animals, cries wolf, and gets chased and falls into a warp rift where animals talk? Anyone?
Ah so you do know of the infamous 'Ringo' dub. 'Pusty' yuck! I'll stick with Pero anyday. I was wondering if you also knew about the infamous Captain N episode which featured a bobcat version of Pero and is based on Pero's NES game?
They changed so much about this version, sounds like some of the VA’s stayed but, the heck happened to Perro?! Gilbert Mack was the best English dub voice for Perro in the 1st original version, not whoever this bootlegged imposter is voicing him here. :/ (I already read about the other two being different but being curious about the voice actors, yeah, not getting Gilbert Mack back as Perro for this was a huge disappointment. :/ (It would of been so nice for them to get him back for the other two back then, after the first one, not sure why the couldn’t, (then again, this is what usually happens with sequels), but it probably had to do with contracts or something…) UPDATE: Okay, not sure how right I am about this, but I believe they MIGHT have gotten Gilbert back as Perro for this, but unfortunately only his singing parts, I was listening to the love song between Perro and Susanna, and the male voice during Perro’s verses sounds ALOT like his voice (and like when he sang as Perro in the first one..) if it is, I think he might of unfortunately went uncredited… )
Perro here is voiced by Lionel Wilson, who was the voice of Eustace Bagge in Courage the Cowardly Dog (the first two seasons anyways) and was the voice of Tom Terrific and others in Tom Terrific. He was a very well accomplished character actor and voice actor, nothing to scoff at. I also hear Ray Owens doing many voices here.
@@gallibon1319Peter Fernandez had a decent group to work with. I suppose not having been involved on dubbing the original first film is the reason he thought changing Pero's name to Pussty was OK.
This was my favorite cartoon when I was a kid. I haven't seen it in close to 20 years. MUST HUNT DOWN A COPY!

It's never been released on DVD as far as I can tell. However, Amazon often has the VHS tapes available from private sellers.

Try eBay or Amazon marketplace. You might find old copies of the video.
Thanks for the link. ^_^ I just hope Toei dosen't become too heavily involved with Disney.
Yeah, I prefer my Pero to be hand drawn too. ^_^
