I think it's a dope trailer to have. Long road trips to get somewhere with a trailer may be a good thing. Taking a 1975 911 to haul-ass on a weekend morning, let's go!! I'll drive my 996 along for the road trip side shots. Cool for the channel.
Hopefully you see this, how well does this style of strap work with slicks on rear and skinnies up front?
Hi Ryan, our tie downs work with all types of tires and combinations
Do you have a boat car trailer available in your lineup. Thanks
Great tie down design. But who ever edited this forgot to color correct the video. It was shot in log format (very flat colorless video profile) and don’t add back the contrast and color during the editing process. Surprised no one has ever mentioned this.
Glad to hear you like the tie-downs! Historical video, perhaps it was on trend at time of shooting to have a more dulled down colour profile for final output. Or maybe, due to the film location being very bright: white car + light coloured trailer + polished concrete floor + floor to ceiling windows all around = lots of light reflecting into lens = loss of colour? Thanks.
My car has tie-down mounts on the underside of the frame and attaches to recessed d-rings on a trailer. Does your trailer alow for recessed d-rings ie can the trailer be ordered with them installed? I would think tieing down the frame would be safer than tieing down the tires... less chance of movement because of shocks.
I have the twin tandem and it has two recessed rings in the front and rear. I use those to tie down. Unfortunately my GT3 wheels/tires are very close to the wheel arch and I can't get my hands up inside like he demonstrates in this video. So I run them through the wheels.
@@TheBruce987 interesting can you share the width of your car with the wheels ... I have a Roush mustang with 315 rear wheels ... which looking now at the front wheels in the video probably will not fit on this trailer...
@@jimh6233 I measured my rear's (305) and it's 75" across. When I load the car I have a couple of inches on either side, it's close, but fits. The GT3's have a big rear-end. When I load it, I use the recovery winch with my wife steering it while in neutral; unload under power. Also when the deck is raised, the car doors will clear the trailer wheel covers. With the trailer lowered and my front end raised, I just barely clear the trailer, but it works. My trailer is about 2 years old and I believe they have been making mods the last 2 years. I would email them and ask questions. www.futuratrailers.com/. My trailer has the recovery winch, the spare tire underneath, the front cover, and the tire hauler. One issue I have with them is the availability of dealers nearby. I live near Houston and the nearest dealer is in Dallas/Ft. Worth (5 hour drive).
@@jimh6233 one thing to note is the 2021s all are 81 inches wide.
Took over 4 minutes to strap one tire.
Stopping to explain the process will naturally drag the process out. Personally, we think it's better to take the time to carefully ensure your vehicle is secure, than to rush the tie-down process and potentially end up with an unsecured load. How long do you typically take to strap one tire?
There has to be a better automated way bro thats so antiquated smh
