My alternator was pulsing, I checked all the wireing fuse box wires going and coming from the fuse box found some wires where the mice stripped the plastic off but I overlooked this one little red box. No more pulsing since I cleaned it up. You are a life saver! God bless you for posting this video.

Thank you! 2003 Duramax. My battery light was on and battery charge warning was on. I ordered an alternator and it was on the way. Your YT pops up. I clean my connections as you suggested and whalla, the battery light turned off and the dash board is showing 14+ volts. Now when the alternator arrives from Amazon I can send it back and save the installation time and frustration of it not charging after installation.
Well, this just saved us on a long trip north out in the middle of nowhere. A few hand tools and a bit of emery cloth and we were back in action. Thanks for sharing!
Solved my problem!!! Thanks a million for your video. Had my boat hooked up on the freeway when the light came on. little wire brush and tightening of the nut and i didnt have to call 2 tow trucks!
THANKS SO MUCH!!! this helped me and i drive an 04 silverado. turn out the nut was loose and had a little corrosion. cleaned it up, added some electrical connection lubricant and re-tightened, instantly recharged to 14 volts. haven't driven around yet but i hope it fixed it.
I think you just saved me a alternator ...took nut off sanded it and connection and it started charging....but the connection looked so clean...I can't believe it worked ..THANKS

Was yours intermittent, my 05 has been doing that for a few days. I've cleaned the battery cables and the connection to the alternator. I'll look at the red box tomorrow. Thanks this gives me something to look at before I take it to a shop.
Hello, I think I have a problem (2003 Envoy 4.2L/6cyl) with my 2 wire harness (plug into alternator) reads 12.6DCV at harness pins. But, weak current on harness pins (no light with my power-on light test/lights when directly on battery posts). Having trouble locating the other connection point to test or clean. Can you tell me where the my wires next connection point. Thanks.
I am headed to shop to check my little red box as my idiot light keeps coming on and says Battery Not Charging, every few days. Both batteries are good. Cover of red box broke off a while ago, so maybe, I hope, it's just corrosion too! :)
I have the same problem with my 2005 T 6500 and I've done everything that you showed in the video but still does the same stuff I have put two brand new batteries and a brand new alternator and you still not charging it up please help

This video is on point! My 2002 Suburban was having the same issue. I replaced the wire and the problem was solved.
