Imho the heyday of flat track was in the 60's with Norton Triumph and BSA and their stunning 650's and later bored out 750 twins, followed by the early 70's and the HD XR's and bored out Yamaha XS650's. Of course lets not forget Kenny Roberts on the utterly mad TZ750... Himmy sounds goid with a full race system....
I remember seeing Kenny Roberts from a riding movie. Full blown two wheel drifting the TZ750, perfect example of the razors edge fine line control that many never get to experience . Past that point of control and its High Side City. Many of us have experienced that. Kenny was one of the Masters.
Can I assume that they have the bike purposely geared so low that the rev limiter limits speeds for newbie students? Just seemed that you were tagging the limiter half way down the straights...
I had such a great time at flat track school! here’s my teaser video, but my full video has a nice interview with Johnny Lewis. ua-cam.com/video/CwoomCCBY0g/v-deo.html
Never knew Royal Enfield had flat track school. Wild!
Flat track seems like it'd be such a great way to improve as a rider! AND the bikes look dope!
That looks like a ton of fun, what a good experience to cross off the rider bucket list! Great video, Jamie!
Thanks... nice overview of flat track racing. Great that Royal Enfield has this class.
Royal Enfield should release a road going version. Great looking thing
They did now ahah scram 411
Definitely trying this in 2021, looks exciting! Honda has the same program here in Ontario Canada. Great edit, *T4S Jamie*
Although my Himalayan is great fun in itself, this looks next level.
Wonderful cinematography too.
Great fun 👍 Adaptable machine the Himalayan...?
You need more of a trimmed down tank.
I’m with all the other commentators and would both love to try this and love to see a production model. Looks a blast.
Ooooh! Gorgeous sound buddy!!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Really enjoyed that on a boring night in Merseyside 👍🏻
I wonder whether RE would make this into a road bike. It looks so much better than the standard Himalayan?
I would love to try this. Seems like those bikes need a little taller gearing
That's training speed.
It's normal to bump in to rev limiter?

I just bought those set of tyres for my sr400, now im dealing with the front fender :(
Triumph should do this - love my t100 , she’d brappp right past!
It hurts so bad listening to the engine hitting the revlimiter all the time .......
Road going Himalayan flat tracker, I’d buy one 👍
Ooh, I hope Royal Enfield make one of these for the road.
Is there a reason why so choppy off the throttle instead of roll off? (I'm no pro, asking to learn)
Lovely! One of those in Spain?✌😎👌
Can i do this with a stock scram411?
The rev limiter ....😢😢😢
Dude, what’a about the ccm Motocycles ?
I swear you said "and really save mana" and I was like "hmm, relatable".
Yeah Johnny is telling them to go left and left and left and ahh yah left. Very hard skills needed 😁
What model of bike is this?
Himalayan
pin it to win it....sliding is one of the first things you learn riding fire roads....your throttle is your friend
Is Flat track the same as Speedway?
Similar to, yes
👍👏

That bike would sell like hot cakes. Great looker!
I slid my adv1190r a few times............not on purpose and not the desired results.....that class would help me have less bare metal
Why’s he banging limiter like that😂😂
thats not royal enfield engine sound that T7/Africa twin sounds!
Bike plenty fast....u no turn throttle far enough!
