Back in the 80's i was quite the emotional teenager. I cried a lot looking back, heartbroke too many times. As ive got older the tears are less, it takes a lot to make me cry. But even now, listening to george, he somehow manages to make me feel. Life can harden us, but always and forever inside is the child that needs love. We should never forget that. If you read this and lifes been difficult i send to you love and hope. God bless us all ❤

When this was released on the radio, I heard it it only a handful of times. I was in high school when it was released. I did like it back then as well, but mostly for how good it sounded. Much more atmospheric than other GM/Wham! tunes. But like so many others here, I agree the song is much better and more poignant having been out in the world for a while and truly being able to connect with the lyrics.
I'm so glad I lived through the ,80s from Wham onwards. My first Daughter was born when careless Whisper was in the charts ❤😊

Only got to see my mum 12 years later for 10 nights. 3 months later on the 13th of March 2006 she passed on. Thanks George for giving me something to smile about. This song just gives me the shivers. I grew up listening to Wham! and George Michael and I still listen to his music. The world has lost an icon, a legend, a genius and a truly lovely and compassionate man who secretly gave millions of £s of his personal wealth to charities and the poor, even personally volunteering to help and feed the homeless in London. The reason George Michael became a huge success after splitting from a band, which many others failed to do, was down to an incredible talent for writing beautiful songs and having a beautiful voice to sing them with.

Loved this entire album. Amazing music, this song is one of the best on it. The 80s presented some great times, some beautiful times and some heartaches aka breakups, but the music was always amazing. This song, during breakups was one of the tougher, toughest, to hear, but nevertheless an amazing song that brought up memories, good or bad, but memories from those incredible times. Greatest voice of our generation and great song.
