    My Dear, I wanted to say that the way you present this recipe is just beautiful. I know we aren’t supposed to be negative but some other you tubers that have made this recipe are too goofy, or try to be cause but just end up coming across obnoxious. You were sweet, delightful and fun just like your cake. Thank you for this video.

    I wanted to make this cake, but since my city's currently in another COVID lockdown, I was unable to procure the cake ring or acetate sheets. I ended up just cutting the sheet cake into thirds and piling them one atop the other in a rectangle shape, while still following the directions. This way you don't need to mush pieces together to make the bottom layer. The sides did not look as neat as in the video, but the cake tasted fantastic all the same. Thanks for your video help!

    hello, thanks for the amazing video. may I ask if there is any substitute for the grapeseed oil in the crumbles batter? and may I know what is the used of baking powder in the process of making the frosting? thankyou so much !

    • @raus9783
      @raus9783 7 років тому +3

      The grapeseed oil can be replaced with canola oil, sunflower oil, soft flavor olive oil or any neutral flavor oil. As far as the baking powder in the frosting I'm guessing it's to make it "fluffier". Good luck!

    • @BakeBites
      @BakeBites  7 років тому +3

      If i cant get grapeseed oil, ive used conola oil 👌 good luck! And the use of baking powder in the frosting? Umm thats a great question, i believe Tosi says it more about the flavour the baking powder gives to the frosting! Thats it really 🙌 Happy baking

    I’ve tried this recipe multiple times and the crumbs just melted together in the oven and made this huge extremely crisp and overly chewy layer. I’ve followed the recipe down to the gram. Not sure what I’m doing wrong

    I baked this cake yesterday for my birthday and I was very proud of my self, but the cake felt very greasy in my opinion. I weighed each ingredient accordingly to the original recipe though... is it only my perception or do you also had the same feeling that there is too much fat/oil in this cake?

    Thanks so much for this! Ok, so I made a test cake last week to test for taste and now I’m ready to make it again for my sister’s bday cake on Sunday. I’ve read that I need to set this cake in the freezer? Do you suggest making the cake the day of and refrigerate before the party (afraid it won’t set enough) or should I make it the night before and freeze it? The party is in the afternoon and now I have no idea what to do

    • @BakeBites
      @BakeBites  7 років тому +2

      Dorothy Ko woohoo! So great to hear your making this cake for your sister's bday she will love it!!! I usually make this cake the day before and freeze over night, take it out the next day pop it in the fridge to defrost..then let it come to room temp for an hr or more pleasee dont eat this cake straight out of the fridge!! Always bring it to room temp!
