  • Regan believes in liberating people financially, that everyone can, and should, have a bright financial future. Toward this aim, he is studying accounting at BYU-Idaho. After graduating, he plans to attend Idaho State University to receive his master’s degree in accounting. Regan and his wife, Brenda, were married this past April. They enjoy being outdoors, watching movies and traveling.
Tonight Regan is here to tell us how student housing co-ops can provide benefits for many people.
Regan Muir believes in liberating people financially. He believes in the idea that everyone can, and should, have a bright financial future. This is his passion and his belief.
To fulfill this belief, Regan is currently studying accounting at Brigham Young University-Idaho. After graduating from BYU-Idaho, he plans on attending Idaho State University to receive his Master’s degree in accounting. He eventually wants to receive his doctorate in accounting as well.
Although Regan has lived in Rexburg almost his entire life, he loves to travel and experience new cultures. At the age of 11, Regan went as a Student Ambassador to six European countries. He visited Ireland, England, Wales, France, Belgium, and Holland. He also served a Spanish speaking mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Colombia Barranquilla Mission. All the necessaries of life should be owned and enjoyed cooperatively.

@@dae6736 renting still makes a lot of sense as long as you're not looking in a global city like NYC or LAX. We've been splitting rent in Brooklyn for years and we recently bought a home in Atlanta together. This is such a common problem that I can't believe we have to figure this out on our own.

@@bgiv2010renting only “makes sense” within the rules of our current capitalist system, but once something like CO-OPs become more obtainable, it’s easy to see renting for what it is, an unnecessary profiteering middleman living off your hard earned savings.

Why stop at housing? The entire economy should be cooperative.

No one said anything about stopping at housing, but it’s a good place to start :)

I thought he was going to tell us about a housing co-op he started or his experience living in a co-op. Did he tell his friend Rachel about housing co-ops so she can finish her education?
