Some of the Co-Ops that I have visited seemed to cater to more affluent, better-educated, people concerned about their health, organic only, to sum it up people who shop also at Whole Food or as some like to call it Whole paycheck. I find that the prices end up being high and out of reach of lower-income people. I would like to see more focus on families living day to day and maybe on food stamps. Having organic, untested on animals, no gluten, grown from special seeds etc... is a luxury that is typically for the affluent grown-up hippie generation.
