This game is so badass, even as a kid I could see there was so much potential with the idea of a true Harry Potter RPG and this game teased the tastebuds with the house points, open castle and flying grounds. So glad all these years later we're getting the Hogwarts RPG.

14:18 there’s a secret entry to Fred and George, you can avoid Percy all together - you might have to get to their shop one time and then exit under the bookcase that’s in the bottom right corner of the room Percy is in, and it will trigger that entrance. (I forget where the door to it is in the bathroom but if you explore you’ll find it)
At 14:18 Harry is looking at the bookcase that you can sneak under.

This is my favorite of the Potter games (closely followed by Prisoner of azkaban and then chamber on GBA). I play it about once a year and spend a ridiculous amount of time getting everything.

I had the Harry Potter Lego Creator, it was rad as hell. You could spawn and ride/drive a bunch of things, like the flying car, a broom, the train, and a dragon iirc. There was also a handful of spells and neat things
There is in fact a bean upgrade. I'm not sure when it becomes availble for purchase, but you should always check the shop at night.
pro tip; you should be able to run right there, and then interact with the portrait. Not sure though.

The GBC game is indeed good. It's a pretty solid little RPG and sticks much more closely to the book.

If the bigger bean bag isn’t in Fred and George’s shop, it’s in a treasure chest in a secret passage somewhere in the castle. You’ll find it eventually. If it’s in a chest, I think you’ll have to go through that secret passage for one of your missions sooner or later. Or you could find it while exploring.
I can't tell you how nostalgic I'm feeling watching this game. I need to get my old gamecube working and do my own playthrough

The Game Boy Harry Potter games are all completely different, including the GBC and GBA games! It's always hard to know which one people are talking about haha. I remember enjoying the GBC one, and the art style was pretty cute. Don't know if I played the first or the second one though, they kinda look the same and I don't remember anymore.

The PS2 version of Harry Potter 2 was made by EA UK. The GameCube/Xbox version was made by Eurocom. Both worth playing.
I despised the GameCube game as an early teen.

Out of all the Harry Potter games I never played, the GBC 'Chamber of Secrets' is the one exception. I played it to 100% and quite enjoyed the experience, but I was also 12 so idk how reliable a 17 years-old opinion is worth.

Just an FYI (unless I'm misremembering this) once you've unlocked it, you totally fly the boom at any point in the open world (it will be in your inventory to equip) but not sure if that's unlocked later (maybe after first quidich game?) this game was legit
