You guys should do this with tracer round and one guy should be standing at a certain distance. And then you could calculate the height by degrees and pythagoras.
Please no lol. You need to learn about wing and pressure because these bullets landed so so far away from them 😂. Just because you shoot it straight up doesn’t mean it’s going to come straight back down 😂
Next time you guys need to stand at 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock so that one person can spot the up and down angle and the other can spot the left and right angle. Or just pop some bubble levels on the gun....
Yeah. The barrel was not straight. You gotta get two levels; one for left and right, and one for away from you/toward you. (X axis, and Y axis, if you like scientificy talk). Oh, and I'm not so sure that the table or even the roof of the car would be sufficient protection from a large round coming down from two or three miles up. But I enjoy the Armenian/Mexican team banter, "Cabron"! 😆
Yes you definitely need to bring a level you had the rifles leaning back when you were firing you should try it again but I love your vids keep them coming brother 😀😁😄😃😅😋😊😆😉😎
Hard to watch when we are clearly seeing it not shooting straight up. Definitely a level needed. I've done it with .22 and works amazing..lol have a good one!
Bullshit! To level it up is not the deciding factor where it will land. I have done it with an air rifle many times at a lake where you could see the pellet drop in the water and even when you shoot straight up the bullet will never come down to your position.
MOST modern air rifles have a rifled barrel. Not all. BB guns do not. I've done this several times with 22 and 25 cal air rifles going 850-975 fps. Even on a very very calm day I've never had one come back down on me. Within about 10 yards at best.
A falling bullet that was shot straight up at 90 degrees perpendicular to the ground, even a .50C will not kill anyone. The worst it will do is maybe send you to have a stitch or 3. Nothing serious. No need for body armor at all. The table is more than good enough.
Once something reaches terminal velocity its about as fast as its going to go. Far too slow to kill anybody. Might break the skin thats it (for that size projectile)
It seems like you should be able to calculate this without having to actually fire the gun into the air. If you know the muzzle velocity, the mass of the bullet, the force of gravity and wind resistance you should be able to at least get an approximate bullet apogee height when fired vertically. I'm really bad at math though so what do I know.

Unless you are shooting straight up in a absolute vacuum it will never fall directly down from where it’s fired from.
Even then it wouldn't because of how far it shoots up, the earth's spin would take over and deviate the tragectory.
@@Lugia21 yep
@@Lugia21 50 second flight time there is more deviation from wind than coriolis
You don’t say. If it’s perfectly vertical it wouldn’t be unreasonable for the bullet to land with in hearing distance
