With the little knowledge I have, I come to similar classifications. Huns and Goths are super aggressive and can easily destroy entire units from the first turn. Also so difficult to hide from them as an opponent.
Nice video with lots of useful information. I understand that everyone has their own style of play but would it be possible for you to list a starting warband for each faction?
How exactly can Volley Fire put my horses into terrain? Wording says that my unit counts as a unit with bows and not that it loses it's Mount rule. Thats not the same.
Horses and composite bows are two separate equipment options and so are bows. So if your unit now counts as being equipped with bows it doesn't count as being equipped with anything else. There is not a single unit in game that has horse and bows. So now since your horses are infantry they can walk into terrain and get the bonus.
@@Peeker9 I know that Your assumption is that if unit is equipped with bows then must be on foot. But in my opinion it's incorrect. Wording focuses only on weapon (so basically gives extended range) not on unit type. If authors woud have in mind that type of unit changed from Mount to unmounted, they would have write it directly.
@@jakubwichary6760 if you check the description of the ability it says they lose mobility but double their range. The rulebook also says a unit equipped with bows can NEVER be mounted. All of that is good enough for me
@@Peeker9 There is also paragraph: "Abilities trump the rules" (Rulebook, p. 42) and according to that, it is absolutely possible to have mounted units with bows (ofc temporarily). But You may have right too. It is unclear like, sadly, few other things in this sourcebook. Age of invasions needs FAQ (faction balance and some clarifications) most of all Saga books.
Hope to see more content!

Fantastic. Love your content. Thanks for putting this out.

That would absolutely be possible and it's on the list :-)
@@Peeker9 Thank you and look forward to it.
Could you please review the current version of scraelings?
Great!
Thank you!
Great video Tim but im still waiting for paiting tutorial ;P
It's coming!
Interesting thoughts. My ranking is Picts, Huns, Goths, Sassanids, Romans, Franks, Britons & Saxons. The Picts versatility gets them top spot.
I'm getting into Age of Alexander with some friends. Is there any good faction breakdown like this one?
We haven't made one yet, but if you search for our podcast on Spotify, we cover all the AoA factions separately
@@HerkusMonteSaga thank you, I'll check it out
