The world's longest sailing electric ferry, the Danish E-ferry Ellen, has shown that fully electric ferries can cover more than 80% of European ferry routes. We must switch to new forms of propulsion in the transportation sector, and I hope that the E-ferry will be an example to be followed. See videos about the Ellen on our Ærø EnergyLab channel. When we charge the batteries with power from wind turbines, we are sailing 100 % emission free. It really is possible to change, but needed investments must be made to make it happen fast. Slow is not really an option at this point, I'm afraid. So let's do it now!

Where are you getting fertilizer from if not from methane/natural gas?

wait, hot stones? stones store energy? ain't that the same shit as coal?

Not really. They use the electric energy to heat up the stones, not burn it but heat it up to around 600 degrees celsius. And then use the stones as a storage for the heat. After that the heat is extracted from the Stones, first by blowing cold air towards the stones, causing the hot air to release and then be reverted back to electric energy by letting the steam from those heated stones drive a turbine with the remaining heat used for the heating system to heat up homes and buildings. All without burning anything. Because remember, Coal is dead organisms from millenia ago, Stones are no organisms so to speak.

@@drdewott9154 thanks for explaining because I did not really understand it. But thing is, they're putting electric into stones then pulling that same electric out. Waste of time? Idk but sounds like indirecting energy with some kind of unnecessary middle man or extra step. If power runs out, use a generator I suppose. Anyway I'm not an expert so I could be wrong but eh, open to criticism and learning.

@@bigmikeobamas69inch3rdlegpenis It requires time of course, but where else should we put the power? Its provably the cheapest or most effective solution.

How much energy is being used/wasted during the heating of the stones? What’s wrong with thermal energy that’s already beneath the stones?
