  • M3 chassis with and M54 engine and an M3 full exhaust (except the flanges) This car really is a build using whatever parts are available. Budget builds require budget solutions. We use our Titanium Mig 140 harbor freight welder to make two different exhausts into one working system.

Nice! How you liking the flux core? Definitely worth the investment already!

Yes! It’s a little rough. But watching a buddy weld with it, just shows me 95% of my issues are lack of skill. Just this project alone paid off over half of the welder purchase. And I have many more projects to come!

The problem here was the Flux but A for effort. All that heat pulls the metal. Still love the video and all the details, every day we continue to learn

It’s not ideal but supposedly it’s stainless flux, doesn’t leak so I’m happy with it.

I wasn't aware you could weld stainless steel with a MIG. Are you using a special filler wire?

Weeeeeeeelllllllll you can weld anything with anything. but im going to be giving tenza a-lot of crap when in a few years this breaks off. this is heat cycled union of stainless steel after a few thousand heat and coolings all those are going to crack but its a race car it may take a long while to fail.
its all about application. if your trying to make a stainless weld last for a long time this is not the way.

I am using a stainless steel flux wire. You can in fact weld stainless with flux. A quick google search will clear that up.
