I'm probably the only one your viewers that owns this almost exact car. Mine was manufactured in June of 2002, same gray. The only difference is I have the sport package & wheels. We did Euro delivery with it from Munich to Cologne,, Brugge, and then to Amsterdam. I'll definitely be watching every minute of these vids, lol. My 325i only has 140k miles on it after all these years and still my daily. My first 5 speed manual also.
1:00 ey man i don’t know if you are still fighting steering issues with the s15, but I think it might help to increase the camber on the knuckle causing change in the kpi, reduce the camber on the top of the strut and increase caster. This way the wheels tilt over more parallel on lock which reduces the funky angles the tie rod/knuckle make so it will overcenter less, and allow you to run more caster. Cheers can’t wait for the e46 to be finished!

Just looking at how this car stands on the lift and previous footage it seems the car stands more on her wheels as something he doesn’t like than something he does. I still believe it isn’t to his tasting or suits him as wel as for example the yashio s15 he drove a loooong time ago. i could also be totally wrong but from things I experimented with it kinda makes sense.

Especially a lot with scrub radius, kpi, Ackerman, trail bumpsteer and all that good stuff. And the true challenge is to get them to all to work together to your liking .and there are some pro drivers in my country who agree on my way of thinking. I’m not saying I know everything but you can’t expect Adam to know everything as well. I could be totally wrong but in my eyes that car doesn’t do what he wants it to do
I would say that instead of swapping the engine I would just swap to a manual and turbo the engine, those things can make 400whp which is a lot of fun for that chassis

The build quality, features, design, part availability new and used, community, knowledge available, aftermarket all made me choose to be a 46er. The car itself is fantastic stock, if this came with a LSD from the factory I would say almost perfect. Hp is eh but it's about more than thatt

I wish we were neighbors man, I bought a scrapped out 2003 330xi (loaded to the hilt) with "hail damage". I've been driving it for 7 years now - it's the cheapest car I've ever bought (I've bought new) and it's the BEST car I've ever owned! 218,000mi and still amazing!🎉 Thank you for this video!

The intake boot Is always first issue on e46s. Hyped to see this build! I bought my e46 sedan 3 weeks after Adam got his and I still have mine. Excited to see what direction he takes this one.
Interesting and I subscribed. Starting on a rolling restoration of the wife's old E46 318i (she's replaced it with an E90) A lot of the reliability issues were down to old sensors. Yes the fuel regulator is part of the filter assembly but you prompt me to get the cover which wasn't there.
I have a Turbo 2005 330ci, i can do literally anything on these cars, i was yelling through the screen that the maf was bad. Love to see more of this car
key tip Adam, you can put the OEM xenon/HID headlight units in these and the standard halogen harness plugs right in and works absolutely fine. Might need to code in the xenon lights, but I've done this on mine and they've been perfect for 4 years now

Poor Adam he’s been cursed with a m54. It will make life easier doing a s54 swap but If you ever do an engine swap pls do s65. Funny enough the engine is lighter and they rev to the moon! Cheers!
The M54 isn’t bad at all. One of the best bmw engines ever made. Reliable as hell, straight 6 all motor. Only issue is coolant system everything else will run to 300k+.
@@sjorsdewit9394 they’re basically the same engine, same as m54 they were put into a lot of cars because of the reliability. Can’t knock the fact that both these engines are good. They do what they needed to do incredibly well.
When you were first putting the shop together it kind of just looked like a glamor shop, so much focus on how it looked. But man, you guys hammer out a ton of work in there! Inspiring to say the least, I'm definitely thinking about how I want my shop to look, and clean with lots of light is top of the list. Love the stack of parts. I'm doing a late model rebirth on a truck and it is so satisfying to see it get fresher and fresher with every part I hunt down and bolt on that I don't even mind the credit card bill. People it's never been easier to take an ordinary daily that you already love and bring it back really close to new. Give it a try, the parts are everywhere, you will be stoked.

Rember hid are always brighter bulbs in projection headlights. Headlights with the single reflectors work best with led. But led will not beat hid in projection lens

I mean like... bikes aren't that hard to work on. I fixed my father's road bike with zero knowledge of how it worked, I was just winging it and it worked. Oh, I also didn't have any new parts to fix it with, just some other road bikes that didn't work. It was also a crucial moment in time, because he couldn't miss work on that day. (Don't worry it wasn't that far from where we live, but it was too far to walk the distance on time.) Several parts had to be swapped, fitted, and swapped again depending on how it made the bike ride. In the end of all that, I was able to get 1st/2nd/3rd/4th-ish working as normal.

hey also change the “disa valve” it’s plastic and will break into ur engine. makes a huge difference. when replaced with a metal one

I mean like... bikes aren't that hard to work on. I fixed my father's road bike with zero knowledge of how it worked, I was just winging it and it worked. Oh, I also didn't have any new parts to fix it with, just some other road bikes that didn't work. It was also a crucial moment in time, because he couldn't miss work on that day. (Don't worry it wasn't that far from where we live, but it was too far to walk the distance on time.)
Several parts had to be swapped, fitted, and swapped again depending on how it made the bike ride. In the end of all that, I was able to get 1st/2nd/3rd/4th-ish working as normal.
