I am a tour guide in korea. of all the contents about korean food introduced by many, this is the top notch quality video clip I've ever seen on UA-cam. keep it up man. this is showing how legitimate korean food is made. well done.

I used to live in Korea and have been back seven times over the last decade. This video is one of the best I've seen on UA-cam and brought back memories of exploring the country and it's food. Can't wait to go back. Great job Rob.
I found myself close to tears throughout the whole thing. As a Puerto Rican who grew up close to Fort Lee, it’s a real treat to see a Puerto Rican showing such love to Korean people and finding connection. Gorgeous work. Congratulations to you, the team, and all of those you interviewed. Seguirémos conectando así!
Holy smokes, Rob. The depth, the sweetness, the light and shadows, the gentle voices. If this was a dish, Bourdain may have written the recipe, but what you created is your gorgeous take on it. I feel like the animated food critic in Ratatouille. It reminds me so much of the most personal episodes of Bourdain's series, but in many ways this surpasses them. Thank you for sharing this with us. Goodness, this was good.
I teared up so many times watching this. The passion each of these people have for food, family, and tradition is palpable. I've been following your TikTok for awhile and always loved finding your videos, but this longer, more in-depth journey into a culture was really something else. Thank you for making this and sharing it with all of us.
This was amazing Rob. Felt like I shouldn't be watching it for free. Thank you for this and all the work you do to help us appreciate the food AND the people!
I never knew about Korean strawberries until I had one by happenstance at a hotel. Mind blown. Never had such a delicious strawberry. I dont know if its due to the soil in Korea, or if its the corporate farm to supermarket strain im eating in the US, but ive never had such a strawberry. Perhaps ill find one at a farmers market someday in the states.
You can order them from the importer in the video: www.kevinschoices.com One reason they’re different is because of the lab I featured in one of my shorts. They spend 5-7 years crossbreeding strawberries to test them for sweetness etc. and then when one is ready, they freely give out the seeds to local farmers.
Discovered you on IG. Korean-american and can’t speak the language, but it’s always Korean food when the family chooses cuisine. You’re a big hearted, sincere person. Rob, brother. Been watching your stuff for awhile and feasting on 50, all good stuff, I really like it, genuinely. But this? I LOVE this, honestly one of the best things I've watched this year. You have to make more long form stuff like this. I think the chapters is a perfect way to keep people engaged since we're all addicted to social media it seems like. This was an absolutely beautiful watch. I enjoyed it so much that I watched it twice. Every person you met paired with everything you ate, just high quality stuff. Thank you.
I lived in Daejeon for a year and had the best strawberries of my life back in 2011. And everywhere I walked there were incredible restaurants. Food in Korea is unbelievable.
As a Korean person who’s never been to South Korea, I just want to thank you for bringing me closer to my culture. Even in the states, I try to stay close to my Korean roots, through family interactions, the way I present myself, and especially through the food I cook and eat. The never-ending mention of “son-mat” kept on reminding me of my mother and all the dishes she cooked for me and I couldn’t help but reminisce of my childhood. You’ve earned a subscriber for sure. Can’t wait to see what else you have in store.
@18:03 what he said is/was and always will be perfect statement & yes son's are the missing about their lost mothers founding through foods. KUDOS MAN. ABSOLUTE GREAT VIDEO. I can't held back my tears. it's not only korea its everywhere in the world who follow these tradition about not being materialistic and inheriting and passed down the taste through generations.
This is beautiful. The care is evident in every second of this video. I don’t know what else to say other than I will be watching this many more times and look forward to more. Truly wonderful!
My mother’s son mat was the best in her family, 6 siblings. I’d like to think that I inherited that same, good son mat. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn as much from my mom as I should or could have when she was alive, but I think she’d still be very proud of me. I know she was proud of the Thanksgiving dinner I cooked for our extended family before she passed. RIP, umma, and thank you for all the delicious food you cooked for us. I will continue to try and recreate those same flavors you introduced to me during my childhood.
Robert you ate that up, literally 😭💗 I love your shorts so much I've binged them probably twice in a row, and to see such an enriching long form docu-film from you. AUGHHHHHHHHHB❤❤❤❤❤❤ it encompasses so much of your style and even more. Thank you for sharing the stories of these passionate individuals, especially digging more into the culture and rituals of Korea, it has such a unified identity and it was just, I loved this. You inspire me and others more than you know ❤
I’m thrilled to see you showcasing Korean food and culture! I’m doing something similar in my neighborhood in Cape Cod, where I might be the only Korean around.
This was so well done! Thank you for sharing it. It helped me explain to my kids some of what my grandmother used to do and brought up some really great memories.
This is beautiful and emotional, Rob. Thank you for telling these stories and bringing us closer to the people, the artisans of their craft, that produce food through history and their love of feeding everyone.
I know long form content is much more difficult. But this is extremely well done brother. I’m in my late 30’s and my mom is Italian at 70 years old. Late grandfather being an immigrant. Point is, it’s a similar idea to how South Korea has ‘that’ same important level of love of food. And how much family and friends matter. My parents don’t have long left but being able to put on this story and just chill with parents is great. Not the same as South Korea, but a similar idea. You get my point. Well done Rob.
Teared up more than once watching this short but insanely sweet documentary. Profound in every aspect and inspiring in every way too. So much respect to these koreans and so much respect for you as well Rob as you take us through parts of the world that we have never seen. Love your work.

I've been introduced to your short form content for a little bit now, and it is something I look forward to. The short vids you make have resonated with me many times at this point. This project of yours has too. Showing us stories that showcase the concept of "son mat", a concept that ties the hardwork and love of people together with food was wonderful to see. Especially since it conveys perfectly what your content is about (people and food). Ultimately, I can't gush enough, thanks you.
Didn’t finished yet but I found it amazing from the very beginning. Thank you Rob for sharing your beautiful perspective on life and your creativity. I feel that I can connect with so many of the things in the doc. Truly touched my heart strings and for that I just have to say thank you

WOW! I am blown away by this video that I stumbled upon, and now very grateful for it. What an amazing adventure and I want more. I crave all things Korean, but this....this is exactly what I want to see most, and it gets little attention. These are important stories.
Man this was beautiful! Had me tearing up at points 😂
My daughter lives in Nonsan, she is a student at Konyang University. We were Just there! I had no idea about Nonsan!
This was excellent! I love how you give them a voice to share with us. ❤❤❤
Your videos are so warm and heartfelt. I think u captured aspects of Korean culture so well. Thanks❤
love seeing some longform from you!
This is impressive on so many levels. Exquisite camera work, sound editing, vision... You did your job as a film maker. Bravo.
I LOVE Korean Cuisine...so glad I stumbled across this!😮😊❤
Robert you ate that up, literally 😭💗 I love your shorts so much I've binged them probably twice in a row, and to see such an enriching long form docu-film from you. AUGHHHHHHHHHB❤❤❤❤❤❤ it encompasses so much of your style and even more. Thank you for sharing the stories of these passionate individuals, especially digging more into the culture and rituals of Korea, it has such a unified identity and it was just, I loved this. You inspire me and others more than you know ❤
Oh wow. Thanks so much 🙏🏻
I love this. Excellent.
Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
대단하십니다. 존경합니다. 화이팅 하세요
Teared up more than once watching this short but insanely sweet documentary. Profound in every aspect and inspiring in every way too. So much respect to these koreans and so much respect for you as well Rob as you take us through parts of the world that we have never seen. Love your work.
Thanks for the video that you created. This video pretty much represented the entire emotion and the vibes of Korea. Best video among entire video about Korea in youtube so far.
Thanks so much!
Great video. So happy to see Rob grow as a content creator. Keep 'em coming! ✊

Algorithm discovered this video for me and I thank the system.
Love the storytelling. Love the editing. A+++
Didn’t finished yet but I found it amazing from the very beginning. Thank you Rob for sharing your beautiful perspective on life and your creativity. I feel that I can connect with so many of the things in the doc. Truly touched my heart strings and for that I just have to say thank you
As Korean-American who have lived in the US for over 40 years, I miss the food the most. It just doesn't taste the same here in Los Angeles. I hope to retire there one day. Thank you for the video.
Love this, hope it’s the first of many longer form videos!
I'd love that.
amazing job Rob!
I’ve been waiting for this documentary to drop! Thank you!
What a beautiful set of shots... excellent work! You have successfully captured the essence of Korean culture in your presentation. Congratulations!
Beautiful film! Almost made me tear up. Thanks for creating this!
Wow.
Thank you for taking a beautiful picture of our country's culture. ❤
Really looking forward to this! Can't wait to be able to share it too!
Hope you enjoy!
If i ever have a youtube channel, I want to be a storyteller like you. You have a natural aura. Your interviews are like a flow. No bumps, nothing!
Amazing 😍🤩
And your content is outstanding. Humanity is brought out through and through ❤
Rob simply amazing! Cant wait for more! Everything hit on the checklist!
WOW! I am blown away by this video that I stumbled upon, and now very grateful for it. What an amazing adventure and I want more. I crave all things Korean, but this....this is exactly what I want to see most, and it gets little attention. These are important stories. I would love to see you travel around Korea and feature regional dishes, farms, people, and specialties, much like you did in Nonsan. You are a great story teller. Thank you for this and thank you for the links. 🍓❤
You might want to try strawberries from Poteet, TX. There are a bunch of local farms out that way and the strawberries they grow are some of the best things I've ever had in my life. Also, great video. Your style of videos are so incredible, makes you feel like you know these people in real life.
You’re really good at what you do man. I hope you keep it up.
