Hell yea! Been doing my research on this topic for a couple weeks now and ran across this video! 4th gen has the best dash and this takes it to another level. So I'll be doing this to my 5th gen because I think they took a step back in the design.. thanks for the info on this!!

In the owners manual it says to disconnect the battery and disable the SRS system. Is that really necessary? If the battery is disconnected the airbag can’t deploy right? I don’t want to tear my steering wheel apart and take my glove box off😂
I did this swap with My 5thgen back on 2010. I miss that car so much :/

@masonweisbrod7066 alot the wiring was done by my buddy but if I can recall ge pulled up the wiring schematic for both cars, prepped and tagged each wire with the color it belong to, we got a Speedohealer, a manual temp gauge and we did 3 days of tuning to get the timing down right.

Bezels are cosmetic bro you dont have to have it.
🔥 🔥I see that the low mileage is that true mile reading. How did you convert that analog odometer do that gauge?
Thats is the milage the cluster had. Engine has 1200miles. Frame has about 140k

How to you get your dash lights to work. Mine stopped working only the red guage lights up. Idk but also how much is the harness I am considering doing this

how do you get rid of the abs, seatbelt and airbag light?
You have to take the cluster apart and take out the bulbs. And put on your seatbelt.
If you could make the S2k cluster light aqua blue like the stock Prelude cluster light, it would be game over.

Trey Be Dipping I need you on speed dial ASAP. Once I get a 4th Gen, I have big plans performance and cosmetic wise. I’m going cosmetic first cuz it’s cheaper and I want to be NA for a while. I want to install fiber optic ambient lighting to complement the dash but is wired to a shift light so when I hit red line, all of the Ambient lighting turns red. Adding a S2K cluster would be crazy. Also, ima take your idea for the headlights, taillights, and turn signals. And obviously you are a great person to talk to considering you have 1st hand experience with all this.

@12:15 where did that whole harness come from, you left out some steps. it went from just 4 plugs showing to the whole harness? what happened?
I ended up replacing the entire dash harness but I didn't need to... that's why i left it out
Hello, how did you solve the temperature gauge and the fuel level?
Have to run the 5th gen fuel sending unit for the fuel and the temp is adjusted with tool that comes with the ktuned box
Do you or Hector knows if the AP2 gauge cluster work for this mod?
I don't see why not I think the wiring is the same only the gauge itself is different

I know I can get the harness made, but what about the fitment, you didnt touch on that to much.

You wont need a bezel it kinda fits in there perfect. Only thing you'll need to do is make brackets to keep it in a perfect spot. Mi e is kinda just resting in there but its pretty snug

Hopefully your still checking these comments 😅 I'de love to do this swap on my 92 but did you need to cut the cluster at all? And did you need a mounting system or does the 4G bolts line up?
You'll need to cut the black bezel that runs along the top of the dash itself the cluster fit in the slot but you will have to make custom brackets

I took my 95 EL cluster apart. Corrosion on circuit board behind tach. I figure a resistor is busted leaking or something. You got to be a electronic wizzard to remove and install new circuit parts, also the plastic is very brittle. I can't fix it. I cleaned corrosion off some solder points and no change. The top wire connectors are a booger to remove. I hate this dash now. I owned a 3000GT, and 300ZX and those cars have a cover that pops off top of gauge cluster to remove. But I traced my problem to the tachometer/speedometer circuit board. The warning light cluster breaks easy. But this a Honda problem. I seen Civics, Accords, and Preludes with bad gauges.
It is possible to do this on a 5th gen prelude

@Donalbain Charamba only the 3rd generation have manual 4ws I'm not sure if you can convert it or not. That's a good question.

@@BrpdogProductions you will have to source a cluster from ebay or junkyard. And find hector prelude on facebook for the harness. Or look up the ktuned dash converter box and you can wire it yourself.

Nope goes right in....have to angle and finesse it in a lil but it fits like a glove

Gas does. Temp is a little off but i have digital gauges for that so im not to worried about it.

When you buy a plug a play harness it will be plug and play but you cant just throw the cluster in.
