Awsesome,there would have to be more applications then the press would there not,this would work on diggers.
Hi Wingnut yes you can use this pump anywhere and on any tooling designed for 10,000 psi, provided you have a consistent compressed air supply. If you are using pullers for maintenance on diggers then yes this tool would be very handy.
I have a question, i have a unit similar to this, what would be the most likely problem when you connect the air fitting the pump automatically starts pumping without moving the pedal in either direction?
Sounds like the air inlet valve is broken or is Stuck in the Down position.
Hi just a quick question do you have your air supply going through a pressure regulator and an oil drip lubricator . or is a pressure regulator all that is needed. Thank you
Good Question Mark, it depends on the use, if it is only intermittent use for example a few minutes every couple of hours then a air filter regulator is fine, if there are periods of long continuous use then a drip feed lubricator should definately be used.
Can you recommend a compressor for this unit please?
You will need a 3 cylinder air compressor to continuously run this pump. At least 340 liters liters per minute will be required. Anything smaller will reduce its performance as you will have to wait for air pressure to bild up in the tank before each use.
How do 10k psi cylinder/pumps differ from 3k psi cyls/pumps?
The simple answer is as follows ,
To go from 3,000 psi to 10,000 psi you will need Stonger pumps (generally piston pumps) will generate more pressure that say a gear pump .
By stronger I mean more metal with thicker cross sections and stronger steel alloys with heat treatment and hardening.
The same is true for cylinders, higher pressures mean higher forces, so Stronger Materials are required with thicker walls, and stiffer and more solid rods and higher performance seals.
