Also an excellent way to keep wasps from building nests in there.
Good point.
I was going to say the same thing.
No, thats a terrible idea the ice would melt rapidly trying to cool all that steel and the beer gets shook up as well. Stash your fake urine and heating pad, and fake cock in there instead .
And birds. Sparrows seem to be forever trying to build nests in mine.
Then it cant be used for a strap down when being hauled
Been doing this for years. Well worth it!
Yes it is. Best place to start.
👍👏👏👏👏
Bolt doesn’t hit the tire ?
@torrycole6477 no, not even close
A Chernie test ball! Saw them specified on a customer's blueprint, had to call Chernie to learn what in the world they were. Intended for leak testing piping and removable drain plugs.
That's it. And great caps for tractor storage.
This the only YT short worth watching and i don't even own a skid steer.
Thank you.
Good way to hide ya beer with a bit of ice to keep ‘em cold lol
You are a thinkin man. I like that.
Shakem up lol
This man tractors 🍻
Idk about these but John deere ac vents are the perfect size for a can of coors, turn the ac on max and enjoy. A lot of them have mini fridges but it's not enough storage for a 16h shift 😂
Plus no wasp nests....I gotta find some for my tractor.
Very much worth it.
Great idea! Can even do it on the back of the Deere also!
This is how cleetus shakes up his ag1
That's how you do it. Shaken, not stirred.
Great idea 👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you !
Glad you liked it!
Would weld a chain to the plug and to the arm so when that vibrates loose as it’s gonna do you don’t lose it
I have had these on my tractors for years and have never lost one. I don't expect to lose on from my skid either.
They don't vibrate lose.
It uses a rubber friction fit. Seems to me the rubber would isolate the vibration
Always gotta have one nay sayer.
@@benedettobrunetto4439 had them on my 6220 since 2006, never vibrated lose.
Works best with tools/chains inside a piece of thin wall sewer pipe inside that tube that way you can slide it out to get what you need cs having to dig through it all to find it. I cut a 1/4 round out the top as a window and a 1” notch on both sides and welded a piece of key stock in the right side to keep the pipe from rotating, take the left side plug out and slide the tray (pipe) out and see what you need as you get it
I may try that. Could be great for smaller tools. I usually only have chains and gloves in there, but organized tools would be nice.
New to me ,love it
Awesome. It works great.
Lots of good reasons for these expansion plugs.
No bees. No mud. Less rust. Some tool/chain storage is cool too, i wouldn't put anything electric in there though. Well, maybe a flashlight, but they're pretty tough these days.
Yeah. Love the storage.
Plumbing caps are the best there called expanding test plugs
They work well for this.
Add a little safety chain lanyard to it. Saves you a LOT of money too
That is a good idea. Just in case.
@SeidelRanch no, after losing 4 of those stupid caps, the chain was cheap!! Lol. Not to mention tools staying cleaner etc. Get a PVC pipe, cap both ends, then carve the top open horizontally and then you have a slide in/out tool tray.
Nice!! Great idea
Thanks!
Definitely like the simplicity but I like to be complex😂, somewhere a guy with a Kubota found a pipe that fit inside their just right, they cut it open into a u-shape, and it basically turned it into a sliding tool drawer.
I have a bobcat so very weird and small triangle shape😢
I tried that on one of my tractors with a 3in pvc pipe. It was ok, but it got to be more of a pain then just dropping the cap.
That looks like a candidate for a PVC pipe with end caps and inside is some foam with a nice bang bang and some things to put in it
That is a great idea. Did not think of that one.
@@SeidelRanch hey you always got to be prepared for them varmints 🤣🇺🇸👍
Damn that’s the biggest freeze plug I’ve ever seen 😂😂😂😜
Thank you.
Show us with the bent bolts when you lower the arms
Have never had that issue.
Cool now I have another idea cap both ends and put a propane heating element under it and you got a mobile grill to cook while you eat beats cooking pizza and steak wrapped in foil on the exhaust manifold of a d8
Sounds like you have done that before.
@@SeidelRanch yep and let me tell you a exhaust leak makes it taste awful 😂 but it works
Nice. Now we finally have somewhere to put our sandwich and water bottles on a skid steer 😂
Don't forget the chips. Gotta have the chips.
That’s a good place to store beer!!!
You could. Some ice and some cans. Boss would never know.
I had to do the same thing to my loader, not to keep tools in, but to keep snakes out. Figured this out after getting the s**t scared out of me !!
Nice. That one I have not had luckily.
Awesome storage clamp's
Glad you like them!
plus keeps the water out
True
I keep my keys in there according to the label on the cap. I actually keep a snake in there.
I bet the snake loves the keys.
test plugs for drainage and sewer pipes.
We called them plumber's plug.
Exactly. They work great!
@@jnichol1000Cherne plugs.
Be a good spot to stash some ice and beer for the end of the day😂
A little shaken, but still drinkable.
That's a test cap for plumbing, they're available at Ferguson plumbing supply 😕
My issue was that I could never find the 5" cap. I have 4" ones and 3" ones on other tractors, but this one needed 5".
Clever
Thanks. It works great too.
I wonder how well tcones would hold up with the uv
Those look pretty solid. I bet they would last.
Clever 👍🏼
Thank you.
Drain test plugs. Probably a bit costly due to odd size. Don’t see many 5” plumbing pipes.
Luckily, it was not much more, and they are metal. Win win for me.
@@SeidelRanch it worked out good 👍
Gripper caps? They are called mechanical test plugs.
The product listings called them gripper caps. I think the oatey brands are called grippers.
Fk yeah! EfI love this idea I've always seen that spot on the loaders and never thought of this👍 your a fukn genius!!
Thanks 👍
Dang what size john deere skidsteer is that looks the same as mine but mine doesn't have that hole I don't believe🤔
Mine is a 317.
I would keep my party liquor in there.
A little bubble wrap and you are good to go.
It also keeps the wasps from building a nest and giving you unwelcome surprise.
Very true. Been there.
Is this a loader for inside your shop?
No. For my ranch.
Can you share the link where you got them caps because I have a skid steer that same model
It's in the description of the video. It's these: amzn.to/4a0MdjX
Thank you
@@billcindlejr2300 No problem. Thanks for watching.
Is that ice for it, so when it blows up it's còld 😂😂😂😅😅😅
Why it gunna blow up? Is that a John Deere hit?
id hide my work weed in there
That can hold a lot of weed.
Makes a good bird house too.
Sweet. Love birds in my tractors.
homedepot towlet flange plugs probably
Pipe gripper caps for testing.
I'm trying this
It works great.
Now find a plug for your tires and you can store pencils in the tire
I keep my weed in the tires.
They make a few different versions for testing pipe
Yeah. My issue was I could never find one for 5" pipe.
Ought to keep the wasp out too
It will.
this is even more cunning than the table with a parasol hole
I try
i imagine that would make a racket if you kept chains in there
Not really. I have them in my tractors and I never hear them. I do somewhat stuff them in there though. I have chains, tools and gloves in there. It works great.
Machines loud enough...
It doesn't. You never hear it.
Just for contact wear sake, that's the beauty of tool bags. Even a duffel gym bag for the chain makes it easy to manage
Beauty
Thank you. 😊
Genius
Thanks
Smart
I get me some smarts sometimes. Thanks.
I've got locking one's
Where? I need to see those.
Now, paint them and add various sports teams to them and sell the crap out of them for lots of money.
Then sit back and enjoy…… until the cease and desist letters come 😅
Smart idea :)
Now you have me thinking.
I’ll take my 10%
lol
🎉
There a drain test plug
Yes they are. They work great for caps like this.
Sewer stopper
Something like that.
Wonder if he could put your grease gun in there
If it was a manual one, yes. My battery one will not fit.
Cool
Thanks.
yeap. thats a gooden
thanks.
Drill a hole through the bolt to allow for a small lock and you'd sell me on it
Good idea.
Ice And beer
2nd vote on that.
Wow you’re special
Thanks mom.
Plumbing test plug
That's it. They work great for this too.
We keep our legal weed in there .
Best place.
Just a giant version of some of the aftermarket freeze plugs I remember back in the 60s & 70s
I use them on every tractor with a loader.
Didn't see any tools 😕
Well I just put it on. There are chains in there right now.
You could put yer weed in there..
Rob knows where to hide that weed.
Looks like a good way to get your stuff stolen. Tools should be locked up, too many thieves out there.
Could be. I am using this on my ranch, so it's mostly just me using it. It's probably about the same chance of someone stealing what's in it as it is someone stealing the whole machine.
@@SeidelRanch true.
You can put your pot in there 🚬 😂
Lots of it.
Is that where you hide your weed?
You can. I usually don't have nearly that much with me.
You fucked up no!!! Deere will take your idea and those things will cost $6000 a piece now... 😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂
Ah shhiii, dang it you are probably right.
@@SeidelRanch and you better hope CAT don't see it... They'll be $8000 a piece... 🤣🤣🤣
Most dented tools🤣
Just tap it in
Dork vill 😂😂😂
It's Dorkville.
No it's not great storage
Why?
🤎
❣️
Drug stash
Shhhh.
Smh
Don't hurt yourself.
A fix for nothing. Cringe.
?
Kubota has toolbox in the foot well
Nice.
