Totally agree, sure there is Bonham, Moon, but this bloke is brilliant and the backbone of those iconic tracks. Those songs would be nothing without his brilliance.
Dreaming is by far my favourite Blondie song and 98% of that is because of the drumming. I was talking to a mate who was saying the older drummers slow down... not Clem Burke... smashing it out like he always has. Awesome!!!
@@LarzGustafsson 2 gigs and they kicked him out cos he couldn't do some double snare riff like they were used to. But their loss. I never liked that band anyway.
Awesome!!! I really, really think Clem Burke is the best Drummer in the Rock,Classick Rock story. I don´t mind what others said...CLEM!CLEM! DOCTOR CLEM BURKE!
I recently saw Clem in person and he looks amazing for 69 years old! I also saw him in concert with Blondie, and she's still amazing, but unfortunately, her voice isn't what it used to be at 78. Clem's drumming is still so powerful that they have to put a screen up around him, but he's a technical master! Clem is a fitness fanatic, and although I'm not sure if he's still a vegetarian, I once saw him backstage doing headstands and about 100 pushups before going on stage a decade ago! He also eats very small portions of food. What a lovely spirit this man has, and he even plays with local groups in New York when he has time, for free, his so cool,I mean he just is!how can anyone not love this guy.
Just an incredible drummer, wish I could meet him soon to jam with him,but I live in Saskatchewan Canada, but who knows, it would cost alot to get there, your drumming in Dreaming is awesome 👌 👏 👍
I never knew Dreamin' was just rolls on alternating toms. I always heard a definate synchopated fill as that beat; Two hits on the rack tom and a triplet across two floor toms, while playing an 1/8 note ride rhythm on one of the floor toms. 4 on the floor on the bass, just to keep everything referenced. To this day, that's how I play it.
Sadly there is no Premier, I knew the family that owned it...the Della- Porta`s the factory in Wigston has long closed. Having said that, nearby in South Wigston there is a small industrial unit named Premier, I have wondered if there is a connection.
Clem has one of the smoothest drum rolls around. Doesn't get the props he deserves. As Jimmy Destri doesn't either. His keyboards and engineering drove the whole Blondie sound.
Compared to the others, Clem Burke makes music, has rhythm, structure, keeps a beat you can actually dance to without the rest of the band. The only other music you can get that out of is Disco and reggae. Hard rock is just noise, sorry people.
I believe he is one of the best drummers in the world
His drumming is hall of fame worthy by itself. So under mentioned when listing rock drummers. He is a legend to those who know drumming.
Indeed, Sir. But those who know, know and appreciate. Unreal
I've been saying it for years. This guy is a national treasure. To bad most people don't know
He has stirred me up since the late 70s... Kind of made my intro to Blondie unforgettable!
My first inspiration on the set. Clem has never fully gotten his due. He is still one of the best power-pop-rock drummers out there.
Totally agree, sure there is Bonham, Moon, but this bloke is brilliant and the backbone of those iconic tracks. Those songs would be nothing without his brilliance.
There’s Debbie Harry and then the next most important member of Blondie is Clem MFing Burke
@@Alpha_7227 dreaming. Come on!!

Absolutely!
Great song awesome riff!!
Clem Burke , once you learn his name and hear him play drums you will never forget it . The man is a LION in a field of house cats .
Clem Burke is a living legend. He has played with many bands.
@@LarzGustafsson 2 gigs and they kicked him out cos he couldn't do some double snare riff like they were used to. But their loss. I never liked that band anyway.
Clem Burke, the best drummer 🥁 in the world 🤘😎🤘
Puts so many other so-called FAMOUS drummers to shame.
Fantastic drummer, saw play for Eurythmics sweet dreams tour early 1983 in a small concert hall, he was absolutely brilliant.
CLEM YOU ARE FANTASTIC IF ONLY WE COULD GO BACK WHEN MUSIC WAS REAL
Are you a troll? "IF ONLY WE COULD GO BACK WHEN MUSIC WAS REAL" Are you ignorant or just stupid?
Still one of the best drummers ever.
UNBELIEVABLY TALENTED GUY!!
Out of this world talent!!
Clem Playing Dreaming 🎶 Gives me Goose bumps as a DRUMMER 🥁
One of the best or maybe even THE best!!!
"The very best"..He´s the best!
Totally agree
One of the best drummers ever.
one of my all time faves..
Outstanding drummer
The best drummer in the world, a legend
Awesome!!! I really, really think Clem Burke is the best Drummer in the Rock,Classick Rock story. I don´t mind what others said...CLEM!CLEM! DOCTOR CLEM BURKE!
Love the way he leads the tom rolls with his left hand, yet plays right handed. It all sounds so even.
He is amazingly good!!
I know, it's odd to watch. I love him. Pete Townsend loved him. Pete used him on some solo stuff and he was considered as Moon's replacement.
Christian Barrell. Clem is left-handed.
Tis true he is lefty playing right hand set up. Ringo the same way...as am I.
His mastery of the high-hat cymbal is legendary...awesum!

Eat meat
Wow! What a drummer and I never really paid attention sad! But Im listening now!
Clem is fantastic
Best drummer out there !
Playing dreaming is awesome, I'm a drummer an I still find that difficult to do,awesome Clem
So great. Saw him drum for Peter Case
The man literally has not aged a bit and still has the same energy
Rock solid
Absolutely fantastic
He is like a Rock and Roll switch hitter. How does he do that? He is so good.
Just an incredible drummer, wish I could meet him soon to jam with him,but I live in Saskatchewan Canada, but who knows, it would cost alot to get there, your drumming in Dreaming is awesome 👌 👏 👍
He was my first favorite drummer
He is one of the best 🍀
Clem the Jem Burke !
Clem can play those poly tetra diddle piddles in his sleep. He's in the top 10 best drummers of all time.
First of all, Clem Burke is just so kick ass. second of all, Clem Burke is just so kick ass. 🤷🏻♂️😅
I like when Clem lets loose with his playing !
Wow great
You don't have to know who he is, you don't even have to watch the video, you just know that this is a Professional playing here.
Respect

Really groove yeah.
One of my favorite drummers. He should have stayed with Premier though.

Ain't nothing wrong with DW.
We just walk on bye and keep on dreaming. Dreaming is free!! But the real lyrics are : We just walk on by
We just keep on dreamin'
Clem has one of the smoothest drum rolls around. Doesn't get the props he deserves. As Jimmy Destri doesn't either. His keyboards and engineering drove the whole Blondie sound.
He's probably not on anybody's Top 10 pop/rock drummers list...but he should be.
He's on mine
I heard Clem played a full set once with a fractured radius.
Super..
God!!
Hard banging and the master of hi-hat technique
Clem Burke, Blondie's other "front" person who happens to sit in the back.
Awesome dreaming
First, he plays the intro to 'Union City Blue' :)
Must have been filmed during an earthquake.
Drums were made for Clem....not the vice versa.
Legend!!
Look like solos, but It's routine! Great!
wow
Albert Bouchard is awesome too.
Clem is a lefty that plays a righty kit
You should read what all of Blondie think of his playing...
He plays "for show" they want him to play "for time" hehe
I've always found he was both flashy, which I'm not into, but he is just the right amount of flash, but he also is really solid.
Without Clem they would sound different!
Looks like he needs a Redbull!
If not for Deborah Harry...there be no band..😊

Would of been a good replacement for Keith Moon
Halt doch mal die Kamera still!
Lmao. He looks bored! 😅
