Sir Shenker has inspired many of us to pick up a guitar. When I was a kid I fell in love with his sound. I did odd jobs to be able to save and buy my first flying v. From that time on I would come from school and break my hands and fingers three hours a day. I gave every thing up friends on and on. I am 58, still have the flying V. The one and only I have and will ever play. My will is written she will go with me on my passing. This guitar warrior has kept me from going over the edge, his music has given me hope in hurting times. How then can one not say a man's musical gift is another man's drug to soothe his soul. Long live Sir Shenker.
At the 6:45 mark , TEARS come to my eyes. This solo is absolutely Michael's most HEARTFELT ! I could watch an entire concert from this camera angle. Fantastic video shoot ! Thanks !!
ozzy says that randy always talked about how great schenker was , thats why ozzy wanted him to fill his shoes , but schenker told him he had his own band , but he was the first call ozzy made for a replacement.
Michael at the top of his form. I have seen Michael play a couple of times. All of the recent tour videos Michael is amazing. His performing with Gary Barden is at just the right time. They have great chemistry!!
See him play just a week ago in a little club,he's back,plays so well and full of emotion,u can see that he's enjoying himself on stage again.Return of the mad xman.
I was there last night, right behind you jre540i w/ UFO Walk On Water shirt on. Schenker shined and Barden was good too. Set consisted of 8 songs from 1st 2 MSG albums, 1 from 4th, 3 new songs. Encore was Doctor Doctor w/ Robin McAuley and Rock Bottom. Great show!

Phil Campbell of Motorhead fame, to me at any rate, has drunk deep from the well of Michaels influence. Close your eyes and just focus on Michaels playing. Let it transport you. Yeah, I'm a fanboi. Netiquette my ass! It *IS* classic, and Barden is fantastic on that first MSG record! He's not an opera vocalist in competition. He's a hard rock singer for chrissakes, and his delivery is honest and effective. You must be hard of hearing.
I'll bet that guitar plays really sweet. Looks like it's very controllable. I'm sure that massive headstock really adds to the sustain. I had a white '81 Gibson Flying V once and it played nice but the pickups sucked.

Sir shenker was also approached by the rolling stones but he declined realizing the stones partying life style would have led him to an early grave.
We saw him in Modesto last night, he's playing REALLY well this tour... I laughed in amazement several times, & I don't amaze that easily....
