is your car’s temperature gauge getting too hot?
There's no need to panic. If the temperature gauge needle moves into the red, this usually means a problem with the cooling fan. If this happens while you’re driving, you should pull over as soon as possible.
The cooling fan will need to be fixed quickly, as continued driving will cause the engine to overheat and lead to a lot of trouble. You can easily identify and fix this issue yourself. There are four failure points that need checking.
Note: Check your owner’s manual for further instructions and precautions.
1. Test the motor
a) Check under the hood, locate the cooling fan and see if it is spinning. If it isn’t, something is wrong with the fan system.
b) Cooling fans are simple DC motors. You should start by testing the motor. You should see a cable coming off the motor. Follow the wire from the fan motor towards the engine, until you get to the plug for the fan connector. Gently unplug the cable from the connector.
c) Get hold of jumper wires for testing. Hook up one end to the positive and negative terminals of your car battery and the other end to the terminals on the fan motor. It doesn’t really matter which way you connect this.
CAUTION: The fan blades are sharp. Take all necessary safety precautions.
If the fan motor doesn’t start working, the problem is with the motor and you just need to get a replacement.
2.(TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
check your car's temperature sensor by unplugging the male-female contact plug when the temperature is beyond the limit(where radiator fan starts at the middle if temperature gauge)
3. Check the fuse:
If the motor does come on, the problem is somewhere else. At this point, we know the motor isn’t getting any power. So check the fuse to make sure if it hasn’t blown (it should be continuous). If the fuse has blown, then it needs replacement.
4. Check the temperature switch:
The fan gets its power by a switch called the cooling fan temperature switch. The position of this switch depends on your car. Check your car manual to locate it. To check it you need to unplug it, ground the terminal from that end and take the other end of the ground wire to the negative terminal of the battery. If the fan starts working, then all you need is a new sensor for the cooling fan.
5. Check the cooling fan relay:
After all of that, the fan may still refuse to work. There is one more thing left to check, the cooling fan relay. Go to the fuse box which should show you where the relay is. Unplug the relay and just replace it. Over time these relays can stop working and simply need replacement.
6.check the thermostat valve
if your engine is still hot check your thermostat valve or replaces it with a lower degree temperature rating.

I have Indica CR4 2017 model, 70k kms done with regular service nd maintenance. Radiator fan was not turning on after changing fuse and so Mechanic suggested to replace radiator fan but after 6 months i am noticing that Radiator 40a fuse is getting melted after 1 or 2 months. Will this be issue with the sensors? Now i am observing that radiotor fan is getting turn on after few seconds when we start the engine.

Lekin agar dhere dhere ghum raha hai to koi problem nahi hai
Thermostat me hole hota hai jis se coolent halka halka nikalte rehta hai

Good day sir I have tata bolt the car is always boiling water I have checked the cooling system completely and it is fine but now the digital heat sensor in the car is completely of and fan is now on all the time.
Does the tata bolt heat sensor and fan switch work together in one or is there a fan switch I cannot seem to find any switch.

Yes sir if fan is not running properly then try to check fan motor utself.
Or may be thermostat valve is bad.
One more thing in bolt temperature sensor is there only not fan switch.
Check its wiring from sensor to ecm and ecm to Relay.

Bhai etios liva me.agar gaadi ideal khadi hai..To kitne der me uska cooling fan chalu ho jaana chaiye..Meri gaadi me kuch issue hai cooling fan ka.kyuki ac on karne par to chalta hai fan.
Lekin normal conditions me nahi.chalata hai..Gaadi beech beech me band bhi ho rahi hai..Showroom le gya wo log bole ki injector ka problem hai..Sirf 50000 km chali hai..But mujhe doubt hai ki cooling fan ka problem hai

Obd elm 327 scanner ko laga ke engine ka temperature check karyea 90 se 97 degrees Celsius me fan start hona chahiye also ac on karne pe fan chalu hota hai isne koi problem nahi hai
But jab engine thandha rehta hai tab ac on karne pe fan turant chala nahi hota hai
Engine garam hone ke bad start hota hai radiator-fan
Also ap ek bar injector cleaner dal ke dekhyea also diesel filter ko charge karwayea agar 5000 km chali hai tab

Agar coolent kafi jayda kam ho raha hai to coolent or pani dono dalna hai
Or thoda sa kam hota hai to only water se koi problem nahi hai
Lekin coolent ka concentration dhyan me rakh ke hi pani dalna hota hai
Fo example jab coolent change hua tab kitna pani dala tha or kis ratio me dala tha ye pata hona chahiye
Agar coolent jayda dillute ho jayega ti temperatures jayda ho jayega gadi ka

I recently overhauled my tata indica diesel engine. Before overhauling the temp gauze barely crossed the 1/4 of gauze, and by chance if it crosses 1/4 of the gauze, cooling fan used to go on and start cooling, but now after overhauling the gauze reaches close to 1/2 then only the radiator fan starts cooling. What could be the reason

sir mere indica me raditor fan chalu hota hai aur fan ka awaj jyada hota hai to ac ki cooling band hoti hai tempture meter down hota hai or normal air deta hai. reditor ka fuse nikalke wapas lagte ho ac ki cooling chalu hoti hai kya problem hai

Ji ap ek bar condensor fan ko check karye sahi se on ho raha hai kay or Potentiometer or ac gas pressure switch ko check karye

2 hi hoga video me Jo gadi hai usme same location pe do hai ek meter ke liye dusra radiator fan ke liye
Kisi me radiator ka pupe me hota ek sensor hota hai lekin do hi hoga
Or ye radiator hose wala sensor bhi radiator fan ko start karta hai 😊

Relay ka fault hoga ya wiring iske alaw motor me problem ho sakta hai
Lekin ap ek bar radiatior fan ko battery se direct connection kar ke dekhyea ki full speed me chalta hai ya nahi

Bhai mara pas tata Indica DLS hai.
Jab mai car start karta hu tab batter indicator dashboard ma show karta hai aur RPM needle zero pa hota hai.
Aur jab mai thoda accelerate karta hu tab sab normal ho jata hai.
Please halp karo.

Potentiometer ko ghuma ke thoda sa age ya puche kar check karyea
Or batyea ki sahi sahi hota hota hai ya nahi

My radiator fan got complaint and stopped working but meter didnt go above half level. i noticed after coolant started boiling and coming out. My temperature meter is not going above half after disconnecting the radiator fan.. Sir how to solve?

Working properly on normal level after fan start spinning the meter go down from half but when i checked by taking fuse of radiotor fan engine gets heated but the meter doesnt go above half
