*Tata indigo injection pump setting to get maximum mileage and lowest smoke and high pickup and it helps to tune up the engine and its sound. also helps to reduce black smoke from exhaust and helps to increase engine life.mainly rpm is very difficult to set after 50000km manually but my video will help you. *some extra knowledge:-Primary Functions od IDI engine with ECU:---1. Fuel pump injection timing control.2. Glow plug pre & post heat control.3. EGR system on-off control.Secondary Functions:---1. FICD (Fast Idle Control Device Control). This isthe device whichincreases the rpm when the AC is switched on.2. AC switch off at high Engine temperature and highloading.3. High altitude proportional control.4. Fault detection & storage of trouble codes.The ECU gets its inputs/information about Throttleposition, coolanttemperature, ambient temperature, engine rpm,crankshaft angle & Injectionstart from the following sensors on the engine :1. Throttle Position Sensor or Fuel Level Sensor :This is a potentiometer connected to the fuel delivery lever which isactuated when the acceleratorpedal is pressed. It sends a DC voltage to the ECU which is proportional tothe accelerator position.2. Temperature Sensor: This is a thermistor type ofsensor, monitoring the coolant temp.3. RPM sensor: Part of the alternator. Gives 3voltage pulses for one revolution of the crankshaft.4. Crankshaft Angle Sensor or Crankshaft PositionSensor. This is mounted on the flywheel housing and provides piston TDC (TopDead Centre) information to the ECU, in the form of a number of voltage pulsesper 90 degrees angle of rotation.5. Needle Lift Sensor: This sensor is part of No. 4 cylinder fuel injector,& sends a voltage signal to the ECU at the precise beginning of injection.How it works :Based on the inputs from these sensors, the ECUcontrols the following unitsthrough Relays, Solenoid switches & PWM control :1. Glow Plug Heaters: These are for pre-heating thecylinders. The ECU controls the glow plugs ON time based on ambient &engine temperature.2. Fuel Pump: Injection timing is controlled depending on the position ofthe accelerator pedal----timing is advanced automatically at higher rpm. TheECU controls a cam actuator inside the fuel pump,based on a look-up table stored in the ECU program ROM.3. EGR: This is the Exhaust Gas Recirculationsystem. Part of the exhaustgases is mixed with the air intake to reduce temperatures inside thecylinders to below 210 deg C., which sharplyreduces the formation of Nitrogen Oxides (Nox) in the exhaust, therebyreducing harmful pollutants as reqd. by Euro / BS 2 & 3 norms.The EGR valve iscontrolled by the ECU, & gets activated in the rpm band 1100 to 3000 rpm,with small variations to compensate for engine temp & loading.4. FICD: The fast idle control is used to increasethe idle rpm when the AC is switched on. The ECU activates the FICD through asolenoid switch by monitoring the AC compressor clutch voltage.The ECU also continuously monitors the enginetemperature, & switches off the AC if upper limits are exceeded.All the sensors are also monitored continuously, anda fault or trouble code is stored in non-volatile memory in case of afault, & the Check Engine Light comes ON.

Hello sir. i have a indigo ecs. The rpm needle goes up and down when the AC is switched ON. the mechanic is saying its a problem of potentiometer sensor problem. The rpm goes from 900 to 1100 when the AC is switched on. and it goes to shut down while changing the gears too

Mera gadi chalte chalte band ho gayi..crankle raha tha, but start nahi ho raha tha... Dash board pe koi lights nahi aa raha tha... Fuses dekha tho instrument cluster wala 10 amps fuse break hi gaya.. Change kiya, phirse break hoga...
Problem and rectification kya ho sakti hai??

Gadi ko start kar ke battery ki -ve teminal ko hata ke dekhyea ki fuse kat raha hai kay
Agar fuse kat raha hai to kahi se koi wire touch ho raha hai under me is liye fuse kat ja raha hai.
Also under ka mobile charging socket ko check karyea ki wire touch ho raha hai kay.
Under me jitne bhi roof light laga hua hai unke wire check karyea.

Subah starting me jab cell lagate he, and radiator ki steel cap open kar teche to pani ghum ta hua dikhai deta he. So I think thermostat valave nahi hoga.
Or yahi gumta hu paani ideal me bubbles ke bahar dhire dhire bahar aata he.

Sir very informative video🙏 . Sir I have a question plz. reply . I have a maruti Suzuki wagonr lxi 2015 model. At morning when I start the car a sound comes from the engine bay like sik sik sik. I think it's is from the timing belt. After sometime the sound goes off when the engine has heated. Can you please suggest me what I should do.

If it comes from the belt then put some water on the belt and check for the sound
If sound goes off then replace timing belt
If not their may be some problems in the throttle body please clean the throttle body and adust the butterfly valve properly.

मेरे indigo car से डीज़ल पंप से गिर रहा था तो गैरेज वाले ने कैम्प वॉल्व सेंसर बदल दिया उसके बाद वर्तमान में उसके बाजू जगह से डीज़ल हल्का हल्का गिर रहा है

Head ka facing hua tha kay Matlab head ko lathe machine me kam hua hai.
Also only head khula tha ya cylinder bhi nikala tha.

greetings, I have a citroen berlingo 1.9 d lucas with a diesel pump that also has two high pressure sensors on it, identical as in the video. one of the sensors is not connected, the vehicle otherwise works and starts normally. but I can't find two wires to which I would connect the second sensor, so I'm interested could I connect it with this one that works on the same current guide so that both sensors work through the same wire. and what are the consequences if one sensor does not work??

Thanks, if both any one of the sensor will not work then pressure inside pump is uncontrolled and it may damage the pump and injector
For wiring you have to check connection from ECM and match the wire colour code from ECM wiring diagram and wiring diagram is not there check in other vehicles with same configuration and make wiring connection.
Actually i not so sure about citroen engine I can't suggest any thing to connect with same wiring from other sensor
But if there are two sensor then definitely there will be separate wiring from ECM .
So check ECM diagram

Sir mere gadi me same prob aya tha indica vista TDI me... gadi knowking kar rahi thi.... laptop pe chek kiya to diesel timing missing bataya aur cam sensor ka bhi issue bataya.... mene cam sensoser change kiya... lekin fir bhi gadi knowking jar rahi hai... to cam sensor soket se jo 2 wire hai usame red vali wire me current nahi mil raha hai usake wajah se gadi knowking kar rahi thi .... to abhi macnic ne us wire ko solonide swich vali wire pe joint mar ke direct supply diya to knowking kana band ho gayi gadi.... abhi to me vaise hi chala raha hu gadi to muze vapas pshale jaisa setting ke liye kya karna padega sir??

Usa wire ko pura check karna hoga multimeter se ecm tak uske bad hi bata chalega ki kaha fault hai

Can you please tell me this problem is coming now or older one.
Check following things
1.after 90 when you press accelerator engine rpm is increasing or not
2. If rpm is increasing then change the cluth plate.
3 if rpm is not increasing then check high pressure fuel pump

Meri indigo ecs hai iska 2 ghanta gadi khadi rahegi to pump karna padta hai. Disel return jata hai bahut mechanik dikhaya but problem solve nahi hou. Gadi garam hai to koi problem nahi but khadi rahegi to pump karna hi padta hai
