Nothing beats using goblin spears in MP and watching your opponent avoid them with their cavalry like the goblins actually have anti large or something.
@@TheGreatMoonFrog yeah it's weird. Compared to Night Gobbos they get a bit more melee defense and a better melee reach, but they don't have any actual spear bonuses....
I haven't played much Vampire Counts so the Zombies fighting on even after having their head chopped off was a genuine surprise for me. Love the attention to detail CA brings sometimes.
That’s so sad for the mob, vampire zombie are shitty but they good flanking unit(i.e summon behind enemy) and a good unit to keep settlement control high(almost free hire and upkeep)
Vampire Count Zombies have the vitally important role of disposable meat shield. They are a wall of flesh to bog the enemy down while other units do damage, and damn do they do that well.
I actually got a very good laugh from this one. especially from the 'Delivered the worst charge you've ever seen in your life" and all the charge descriptions. do love this series to see who's the worst. I always wanted to know who's the worst infantry too like if peasent mobs are worse than skavenslaves and zombies
I love these videos, the mix of fun commentary and statistics is pretty nice to listen to both when watching and having it in the background. Great stuff Zerk!
Skinks are the best because they're the cutest. Their high speed, aquatic bonus, and early access to poison effect and vanguard deployment in the tech tree is good too I guess
I love your videos, but it would be cool to see "competition" with using the actual unit role: for example, compare how long would those crappy units sustain against enemy archers or anti-infantry units. compare, how much damage cav does in charge and 5 sec fight agains various types of targets. I know, it's much harder, but it brings unit role to the spot lite, not just ability to kill each other. For example, i think scavenslaves are the best low tier meat: it's cheep and pretty fast and enemies have to chase it all over.
Idk about MP, but SP Zombies are literally the least expensive unit in the game- 100 to recruit and 0 upkeep costs. They also are really pretty tanky vs incoming fire due to somewhat spread out formation (more arrows miss). I would say they're harder to deal with going against them than Slave slaves are, especially since Skaven route basically on contact. XD
I always thought skinks were the worst back when I tested and found that they couldn't beat zombie pirate deckhand mobs and the mobs lost to everything else. Its interesting how a >b >c while c > a in this game.
Skinks are a very underrated unit in the lizardmen roster in my opinion. Good use in the campaign. I tend to use them for clearing the backline of the enemy army in early and midgame. they are easier accessable than the lizardcavalary.
@@C2TheHill2910 Their javelin variant is also a great early game unit to soften up unarmored enemies. Their cost to damage output can be really silly sometimes.
Something to consider about Peasant Mobs, they used to cost 20 gold in campaign for WH 2 at least. The fact that they now cost 100 gold in both multiplayer AND campaign makes me sad. I would actually use them very often cuz of that cheap 20 gold cost which could be brought down even further with various skills / items / traits. It feels like they aren't worth 100g, but 20g is pretty cheap. Maybe 50g would be better? 75g? They have a hard time beating even artillery crews in melee ...
@@kubaGR8 ok so there is a tech that reduces their recruitment cost by 10% and that remains the same between the games. It also gives them a nice +10 melee attack putting them in the range of maybe being able to land a hit once in a while. Their upkeep in campaign has always been able to be free if one is at or below the peasant economy limit. Otherwise it's something around 50 gold upkeep on them if above the limit. The thing I'm complaining about here is the fact that they now cost 100g instead of 20g in campaign. That's a lot more gold to sink into a low performing unit and makes tricks with spamming tons of them to use next turn and then disband less viable.
