@@GMAC240 To be clear, the warranty only covers the cost of the $9 fitting if you can prove that you installed it properly and keep your receipt. They don't cover the thousands of dollars in water damage when the tiny little rubber gasket breaks down in 3 years. I know some people that have had them on for 10 years with no problem. And I know some people that have them break down in a year. I have no idea how they got approved to be put inside of walls, but they definitely shouldn't be. No other mechanical fitting is allowed inside of a wall. They're great for a Friday afternoon quick fix until you can come back on Monday. There's no reason to use them for anything else.
@@kungfoochicken08 False ... they cover damages if there is a manufacturing defect with the product. There are many "Fake Bite" knock offs out there. Sounds like your anecdotes are from lesser quality imported products and not the real SharkBite. I've installed hundreds correctly and have never had an issue.
